Beautiful Fort of Kangra in Himachal Pradesh || Kangra Fort

The Kangra Fort is located on top of a hill at the confluence of Banganga and Patal Ganga river (also known as the Majhi), in the south western outskirts of the old Kangra town. The distance of The Kangra Fort is about 3 KM from the town and is also known as Nagarkot. Kangra Fort Pointed in Mahabharata also. So watch this video till the end.

did you know nepal shares history at kangra too...nepalese expantion essentially stoped here around 200 years ago when gurkha army comanded by bir amar singh thapa seized this fort and captured kangra king for 2 years. Out of desperation king of kangra sought help to young king ranjit singh.... after a furious battle in kangra at night, sikh army repeled mighty gorkhas as they were relatively in disadvantage against surpise ambush and long sword of sikh vs their khukuris. Anyway its in the past but it is always facinating to see how ambitious our kings and minister were to create a powerfull hill state to fortify against british expansion.
