Depends on whether or not they can use their deity's favored weapon. For example, had Anomen the ability, he could use a bastard sword since that was Helm's favored weapon. But I don't think that trait was introduced at this time.
Yh Beamdog's writing was terrible. Havne't played Dragonspear but the 'banter' with the new characters was like listening to some Dragon age fanfic shit. Terrible. Souless. Lacking any real character. Hearing Viconia and Edwin talk in new 'Enchaned' Edtion characters had me actually cringing.
I don't hate Beamdog's characters as I think it's cool to have new ones included, but they weren't on the same level as the original writing team and sometimes yes, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Neera for instance just seems like she was cobbled together from whiney hyper-SJW livejournal chicks and that is coming from someone who is pretty damn left and bordering on Chomskian anarchy in his belief system.
@@ZeroMalarki Lmao, anarchy is on the right. It's not leftist and to even suggest otherwise is propaganda of the lowest order. Totalitarianism (socialism) is hardcore leftism. The staunch right is anarchy (libertarianism). That being said, yes, the new writing was shit.
@@Archedgar I think there's a few different thoughts about anarchy. Looking back at BG2 it did make a lot of sense that a lot of lines were not voiced in those days. After all most Hard Drives were only really about 10 Gig at most. BG2 (originally out in 2000) was a massive game back then at about 2 Gig so would be overwhelming to have every line voiced. Though how awesome would it have been if the Enhanced Editions had gotten most of the cast back together to voice the unspoken lines? It would be feasible nowadays. With the exception of Heidi Shannon (Jaheria) Beamdog did manage to get most of the main cast back for the characters in Siege Of Dragonspear. Edwin really was a fun character to have around. Though one of his best lines is not here as it's not really banter started by him. Apparently when Aerie has her child Edwin if in the group remarks *"Well, it would seem the leader of our little group has impregnated the impressionable circus child. And here I thought she was merely getting chubby without the ring master's whip to keep her in shape."*
I personally hate the update BG. The forgot many hidden treasures and traps. Something only the ones who played the game when it came out would know about.

EXCUSE ME, EDWIN????????
Edwin's voice sounds like a very, very bitter Luigi.
luigi will fireball mario in his sleep and he will be player one.
Manic depressed Luigi?
Waluigi
I have to say my favorite has to be Edwin pointing out Yoshimo as untrustworthy.
The nerve!
Arcane And Rasaad
"Elminster this, Elminster that. Give ME two thousand years and a pointy hat and I'LL kick his arse!"
he enters every conversation with and insult XD
I simply can't imagine a playthrough without him. Even with a CG party.
With his questline completed, Edwin is very entertaining with any party composition.
Apparently, he was suppose to be with CG party, just not with Minsc
He’s like an audit video, picking fights and winding everyone up for a response!
Dunno why Anomen bothers threatening Edwin with the point of a sword, pretty sure priests only deal crushing damage!
Because he is a dumb fuck :D 10 intelligence points, says everything.
That's missile damage lol

The fact that this video exists and its content reflects that BG2 remains one of the best RPGs of all time.

Edwin knew to pull back from trolling Keldorn because of his inquisitor kit. Dat 18-int stat is pretty handy.
gotta love how most good characters resolve to death threats against insults

Is...is Minsc played by the same guy that did Don Karnage? Now all I can picture is Minsc trying to duke it out with Baloo.....
Minsc is voiced by Jim Cummings (aka Winnie the Pooh and many other voices)
@@frenchfrey65 Indeed. I did go look it up after, it's just that his Minsc sounds so similar to Don Karnage it kinda makes me giggle.

I like how Edwin putted out hypocrisy of Anomen order. I never liked Anomen
No one likes Anomen. Annoyingly, he's probably the most powerful cleric companion in the game once his questline is successfully completed.
What hypocrisy?
Redditors getting representation more than a decade before Reddit ever became a thing!
