Been looking at the soul press for a minute but this is definitely on my radar now. I definitely have to keep the tuner off until the pedal is off or else everyone will hear a nice open E string in the middle of the song set for at least the first 3-5 times using it 😂
For sure! I keep it like that too haha. I use the soul press too and it works great with analog pedals where I actually need a wah unit. The Tuner Press works great with multi-effects or pedals with expression capabilities
I have a question: does it lose tone and dynamics when hitting the string with the pick like the soul press 2? or like wah pedals? Greetings, excellent pedal.
For expression they say you need a TRS cable but I cannot understand why an expression pedal needs TRS. I wonder if it works with a TRS jack modified to leave the Ring unconnected and act as a TS
In some units such as HX stomp you are able to use 2 exp pedals or footswitches at he same time, with a Y cable. It has a stereo input but works with 2 mono devices combined. I tried to use this exp pedal with an external footswitch combining them with a Y cable. Unfortunately with o moded cable this exp pedal onlu sends signal between 0-50%. If you use it with another exp pedal such as dunlop dvp4 mini volume you are able to do that because it works with a TS jack.
Man, I love the ambient swells! One question - could be Wah on Ampero II turned on ONLY by "press down" the pedal (switch from volume to expression mode)? Or to turn Wah on I need to sacrify one from three stomp buttons on Ampero II? Lets say I want to use one Solo sound with switching Wah on and off only by this tuner pedal.
Does this have strum / polyphonic tuning? Also I looked at the website for advanced specifications, It's +/- 0.01 Cents???? That's a really bold claim from hotone, even the strobostomp is +/- 0.1. Also which would you get more? Option 1 - Hotone Tuner Press + Soul Press II ($150 + $110.28) Option 2 - Hotone Soul Press II + Peterson SSMini ($110.28 + $103.7)
Doesn’t do polyphonic but it is accurate! And that’s a good question. If you care about having volume and wah going at the same time option two. If you know you will only use volume/wah/expression one at a time go option 2

Hi there. We’ve just been exchanging messages on your video of the Soul Press 2, about whether the toe switch on that pedal alternates between the Volume and Expression functions. Sadly they don’t, and the Exp is always active. According to the user manual for the Tuner Press, the toe switch DOES alternate between the Volume and Expression functions, so if one is on the other is off. Can you tell me please if this is correct, and that only one function operates at a time? (In our chat on your other video you suggested removing the volume cable to disable that function, which I don’t really want to have to do, as it’s a bit of a ‘clunky’ solution. Also can you tell me please if the Volume / Expression functions are passive, and it’s only the tuner that needs a power supply, or do the Volume/Exp also need the power supply? Thank you 🙏🏻
Yes that is correct! The tuner press switches from volume to expression. What I was saying before was that for the soul press II you’d just to have to unplug the TRS cable
@@nobesmusic Thanks for the reply 🙏🏻. Do you happen to know if the Volume / Expression functions are passive, and it’s only the tuner that needs a power supply, so you can operate the Vol and Exp without the 9v supply plugged in? Or do the Volume/Exp also need the power supply?

I heard some people complain about the volume sweep of the soul press II, being not very natural. Has that been improved in this pedal? I will mostly be using the volume and expression. Wah and tuner are both "nice to have" but not really necessary (I already have a polytune). How does this compare to an ernie ball? Or any recommendations?
How dramatic is the volume Sweep range for doing swells? I'm considering one of these but I want to make sure the volume pedal I'm using has a big enough Sweep
@@Volgin. well it won’t turn off your way, it will just stop sending expression signal so whatever setting you left it in will stay and then you’d use it as a volume. Probably better to have a specific patch as a wah and switch in and out of that completely on whatever unit you use

The Tuner Press accesses the expression which would program a wah sound. The vow press though has a built in wah that you can engage by pressing down
