Yeah, that's a vicious mind trap that makes the game boring instantly, it just starts feeling like work instead of game, and a lot of people don't realize it.
The way you play minecraft/talk about it has changed the way I think about the game. I always go for the auto farms and villager breeders, but thinking about playing how you talk about it, makes me realize what the fun in the game is, it's not about having everything at a moments notice with a million farms, so thank you for bringing my joy for this wonderful game back
I was thinking the same thing the way he plays is entirely different than how I play I immediately go for base I explore and explore only the above ground for hours till I find where I want to build and by that point I’m bored.

I like the message of "You have to make change, change doesn't happen to you." I had this uneasy feeling of something not being the way I want it to be since I was 13 years old and I had trouble narrowing down where it came from. I found out recently that I want to be a useful part of my parent's business and I now became their apprentice. Life is better now, I'm feeling useful. :)

Yes, that's Enhanced Visuals. It has a bug conflict with Bliss shaders. Mods --> Enhanced Visuals --> Handlers --> Splash --> disable I am the same guy that wanted to fix the black screen Do those steps to fix it. Edit: THANK YOU ALL FOR LIKING THIS I'VE NEVER HAD SO MANY SUBS!!!!❤
A better way I've found to fix is is to turn off the "blur" setting in enhanced visuals. That way you can still have the cool effects without having the screen flash black
Being able to watch someone play mc in survival with these mods enabled is such a blessing, i dont have a pc to run this type of stuff, and Xbox wont be able to support this stuff for years on end. your vids deserve more attention than they get. this type of content and editing is amazing, some of the best on youtube.
I have fallen in love with your videos. I love your adventurous playstyle. I love the way you go from place to place thinking of how to improve it in the future while also trying to respect the places history as if you are actually exploring these lands. I love the way you edit the videos. The way you occasionally switch to third person shots to set the scene or how when you are underwater it actually sounds like you are speaking through a liquid. you have created a style of video that has incredibly re-immersed me into the illusive world of Minecraft and recaptured why I fell in love with this game over 10 years ago when I was a kid and for that I am grateful.

I just started playing with your modpack, and it’s so much fun! The ambience is _exactly_ what the game needs, so I really hope they add more to the base game!
I recommend adding the better villages mod, I used it in my play through of distant horizons and it’s pretty sweet. (It just makes villages larger and more lively, they’re really fun to spot from a distance at night cause they look like cities.)

But I also think that minecraft isn't the sort of game which relies heavily on updates and new content. The community is the main reason that minecraft goes downhill often

I think one of the reasons your vids have blown up is because of how cinematic your thumbnails are, it not only looks professional, the view also looks outstanding.
6:32 those are trail ruins, the main archeology feature in mc; you need a brush to actual get loot from them, since brushing the "suspicious" sand/gravel that spawns in the structure drops items. the unique loot from them is pottery shards to make pots, and 4 different armor trims (which imo are not worth the trouble).
6:40 Those sites are full of suspicious gravel blocks. They have items in them as long as you use a brush. Otherwise, if you break them normally, or they drop, the item inside is destroyed. The sound effect is glass breaking. They have everything from junk to armor templates. You'll also find tools, crafting tables, and tons of terracotta blocks. Those sites are fairly big, and once cleared can make a good underground base.

That weird jumble of blocks was a trail ruins site. They have a lot of suspicious gravel in them. If you use a brush on the gravel you can find all sorts of misc loot, including pottery shards (that let you make urns with images on the side), armor trim templates (that let you decorate your armor), and smithing templates (that you now need to upgrade diamond gear to netherite). Trail ruins are actually pretty rare and hard to find.
Its funny how when you take a moment to stop complaining about the "lack" of things mojang is adding, you actually enjoy the game! Coming back to the game recently has been a blast and I'm glad you're enjoying it too!

I love how you play Minecraft, unlike every single Minecraft RUclipsr you don’t speedrun to max enchanted nerherite god armor and tools. As soon as you get mending on everything no more exploring but now time for enderman farms. When people become so overpowered so early on all they do is build unnecessary builds for the rest of their 100 days. They get so boring to watch so fast. What I like about your gameplay is you take things slow and like to explore the world around you. While the experience does end up lasting less time because of how you play, at least you aren’t mindlessly building and grinding everything.
16:00 an external perspective is always benefitial. Because even if it doesn't prove your decision to be a bad one, it might make you more sure to make the decision you wanted to make initially which is progress anyways.

i'd like to touch on what you mention in 'Brief Talk 1', how you said "it's always how badly do u want it?" which I really disagree with. For so many things, not just like business/productivity success, people can want things so desperately yet have all kinds of things stopping them. When someone doesn't have any of those internal struggles it's easy to just say "bro just do it, like come on" but that really really helps nobody that actually needs it
I agree but I think a lot of people who do have the means to change their lives simply don't want to. I'm not talking about the Indonesian rice farmer with no internet access, I'm talking to the people watching this video who obviously are living well enough to watch a Minecraft video on RUclips. Most people don't realize how much potential they really have

I hope my wording makes sense lol Yes many people are living materially well, but mentally/internally they may not be, so I think promoting that self-belief & empowerment, and finding and aleviating internal barriers/negative-beliefs/emotional-scars is very important. Many people fall into judging others unfairly, thinking they're 'lazy' or un-motivated, by overlooking or just not seeing that aspect of things, and not realising things can internally be 20 or 100 times harder for another to do the same thing, even if they actually want it just as bad or even more So totaly we ought to help people see their potential, but with care in our approach and wording

You've inspired me to try a hardcore world for the first time on this modpack. One thing I was wondering if anyone had the info on this, is the mod that makes the surface terrain beautiful the one that changes the cave generation? In this modpack i love the surface terrain generation but I find the cave generation underwhelming compared to modern vanilla minecraft generation. The only generation that i really find in this is modpack is custom lava rivers that generally all look similar.
I am once again asking you to add farmers delight to your mod pack. It honestly will make you collecting from animals so much easier(knives) and will add way more variety to the food/farm system. It also is probably the most aesthetic and vanilla friendly food mod with the most versatility due to all the expansion mods others have made.

i'd like to touch on what you mention in 'Brief Talk 1', how you said "it's always how badly do u want it?" which I really disagree with. For so many things, not just like business/productivity success, people can want things so desperately yet have all kinds of things stopping them. When someone doesn't have any of those internal struggles it's easy to just say "bro just do it, like come on" but that really really helps nobody that actually needs it
I agree but I think a lot of people who do have the means to change their lives simply don't want to. I'm not talking about the Indonesian rice farmer with no internet access, I'm talking to the people watching this video who obviously are living well enough to watch a Minecraft video on RUclips. Most people don't realize how much potential they really have

I think it's important to talk like that, in an empowering way to ecnourage people to do, rather than speaking judgementally and putting people down for not doing.

Yes many people are living materially well, but mentally/internally they may not be, so I think promoting that self-belief & empowerment, and finding and aleviating internal barriers/negative-beliefs/emotional-scars is very important.
Many people fall into judging others unfairly, thinking they're 'lazy' or un-motivated, by overlooking or just not seeing that aspect of things, and not realising things can internally be 20 or 100 times harder for another to do the same thing, even if they actually want it just as bad or even more
So totaly we ought to help people see their potential, but with care in our approach and wording

You've inspired me to try a hardcore world for the first time on this modpack. One thing I was wondering if anyone had the info on this, is the mod that makes the surface terrain beautiful the one that changes the cave generation? In this modpack i love the surface terrain generation but I find the cave generation underwhelming compared to modern vanilla minecraft generation. The only generation that i really find in this is modpack is custom lava rivers that generally all look similar.
Yeah I think Tectonic overhauls all terrain gen, surface and caves. I agree the tectonic caves are kinda lame.
I am once again asking you to add farmers delight to your mod pack. It honestly will make you collecting from animals so much easier(knives) and will add way more variety to the food/farm system. It also is probably the most aesthetic and vanilla friendly food mod with the most versatility due to all the expansion mods others have made.
It adds too many new items for it fit the vanilla+ theme of the modpack in my opinion
