The colors of the water are amazing! The underwater restaurant looks like such an amazing experience! Wow just doesn't describe it. This is on our must-visit list :)
Good to see Jay as I am booked for October for my wife's 50th. I was very concerned Covid19 was going to scupper plans but I heard today the islands are opening up again! I have a Dolphin Villa with pool booked for 9 nights, all inclusive. I gues we are not going to be disapponted?!!
Hi Peter you'll have an amazing time! The Dolphin Villa with pool is great, you'll have some amazing views and all inclusive is a super option as the drinks can be pricey. Any questions feel free to drop me a message.
Jay Curtis Do you have to pay to actually book the H2O under water lunch/dinner or do you just pay the meal cost? I am assuming a meal there is not part of my AI deal 😊
Thank you very kind. You'll love the Maldives to celebrate your 60th. Such an amazing bucket list destination. Flew London to Dubai and stayed there for 2 days then on to Male in the Maldives. The layover would have been 3 hours in Dubai but chose to add a couple of days there to break up the travel time and see some of the UAE.
@@JayCurtis thank you so much for replying. Like the look of here as doesn’t look too crowded. Did you do an all inclusive package? Do you know if they have on the beach rooms? ☺️
@@ceceliarussell7303 no problem. Was a great little island. Yep had an all inclusive deal and booked direct through Emirates holidays. Yep they deffo have beach rooms as well as overwater so depends entirely what you prefer. You'll love it.
Thanks Alot ... I was quote confised to chose a good resort in the maldive for the surprise trip for my wife after 5 days .... I think with your report I am going to book You and Me resord 😁😁
Wow this resort is fantastic! We stayed at the St. Regis! it was really nice as well :) Also, I am intrigued to find out who is filming you. Oh wait! We saw him! Haha
Loved your video - thankyou. We’re thinking of June in a Beach Suite with pool. Were you able to experience one of these 10 rooms ? We have read that June is not a good time to go ??? Spent a week 3 years ago in The Maldives in a water bungalow so fancied a change !,
I went inside the beach suite but didn't stay in one. They are equally as enjoyable with a similar size inside and great views across the sea from your room and a lovely pool. I'd happily choose to stay in one. Weather wise the rainy season’s from May to October so June can be a very wet month. That said you can also find cheaper deals so if you don't mind a few showers through the day it can be very enjoyable especially as it's warm rain. Its still around 30ºC in June, so you can enjoy plenty of sunshine and warmth but just be prepared for a few showers. Hope that helps.
This is easily the best video I've watched about this resort, and I've watched loads. Do you know if there's a charge for the daily trip to the house reef for snorkeling?
Thanks! Food was brilliant! The main restaurant served Lobster which was delicious and the Asian outdoor station did various fish dishes during our visit including Salmon so there'll be plenty of choice.
@@JayCurtis Could you select the food in the japanese tepanyaki restaurant or it was fixed and changed daily what is on the menu there? As I saw in videos everyone there gets the same food.
@@pstomi no it was decided by the chef and changed daily. There was no menu and it was announced while sat at the restaurant. Only a hand full of people can be seated
Your video is 👍👍👍the only one that gives full impression of this hotel! Only after watching this video i have made a decision whether to go to this hotel or not!
Jay awesome!!!! Thanks. For 2 weeks how many tshirts and swim shorts did you pack? Did you have excess luggage and what does that cost per kilo above the 20 kg if you may now? Thanks!!!
Thanks! I took 3 swim shorts and 10 T shirts. They do offer washing facilities there so you could take less if space is an issue. We flew with Emirates so we had a 30kg allowance the problem being the sea plane as that's just 20kg checked and 5k hand luggage so even though the airline gave us a decent baggage the seaplane meant we were restricted. Be careful as the sea plane is $5 per kg over and it depends who your flying with for the airline allowance.
Thanks Adrian. It's the DJI Osmo Action. Ive got a separate Vlog of that camera on my channel. Its waterproof as standard but I also bough a waterproof housing for it online.
Awesome video. Can you tell me the additional cost of the H20 restaurant at the time you visited? I know it may have changed by now. I'm just looking for a ballpark estimate. I reeaallly want to go there for my visit in August.
Hi @jaycurtis. My wife and I are looking to go to the Maldives for our 50th birthday celebrations and this video has been so useful! Can I just ask how the all inclusive was? Was it restricted in any way and did you have to pay much in the way of extras? I know the undersea restaurant is extra.
Hi Greg, it was pretty much everything when I was there and I didn’t pay for any extras only the underwater restaurant however I heard a few months after they did change this slightly so it might be worth dropping the island a message for the latest list.
WOW, I've just booked up for two weeks next April/May in the Aqua suite before seeing your Vlog, thank you so much it looks perfect. Are you able to pre-book the H2O restaurant? Also, did you upgrade to the Aqua suite with pool when you got there as it wasn't available when I booked? Thanks again, excellent diary👍 subscribed 👍
Thanks Mark, very kind. With regards to the restaurant you can email the island a few weeks in advance of your stay to book the best time. Same applies for any of the restaurants. Yea we were automatically upgraded on arrival as the week was quiet with quests so deffo worth asking for this if you can especially if you have a special occasion during your stay. You'll have an amazing time. 👍
Thank you for your great review of the resort. Did you get to see the beach suites? we are booking for this September and are wondering what is the best way to explore both beach and overwater bungalows.
Hey! Yep did see inside one but didn't stay in the beach suite but equally as nice. You could always pay a little extra to change to one or the other for a few extra days depending on availability. I think for me it comes down to the snorkeling. If you love the sea and want to acsess straight off your jetti any time of day or enjoy sunrise/sunset in your own pool then go overwater bungalow. If your happy to just walk along the beach to snorkle and don't mind not enjoying the views without the plunge pool then go beach. I'd happily stay in either.
Great video, thanx! 2 questions: (1) The pool outside the room, can it be heated like a spa/Jacuzzi to 102F/39C? & (2) How's the WiFi signal/speed? Cheers!
Hi Pool outside the room tends to stay a constant temperature although does get warmer throughout the day with the sun. Guests don't have the option to control the temperature. WiFi can be sketchy and varies in different area's. Rooms tend to be the best but one part of the queit beach had no WiFi signal whatsoever.
thanks for the video i was curious how the drinking water there is ? is it all bottled or fresh? saw the mini bar is the complimentary or additional also wondering about those hidden fees
Thanks for reaching out. The water was bottled. The island has its own salutation plant and turns sea water in to drinking water which is provided daily. Some items in the mini bar such as soft drinks were complimentary during our visit but that might have since changed

Awesome video mate. Was thinking of heading there for a break once covid situation is better. Was thinking aqua suite with pool or you&me suite for privacy. Is the extra money worth it?
Thanks Mohamed. I'd say the Aqua Suite with pool is perfect which has just as much privacy as the you&me suite and personally don't think its worth paying extra for the small additions.
Great video! What was the price of the transfer from Male Maldives AIrport to the resort and back? I've heard it can vary by resort but is charged through the hotel.
@@newalexm have an amazing trip. You'll love it. Make sure you do one of the 2 free snorkeling sessions as well. Very good sea life a little further out.
Hi! We are currently looking for that resort. Have a question to you about aqua suite and dolphin suite. So, basically, dolphin is older inside, but better for snorkelling? And what about snorkelling near aqua suite?
Snorkeling is the same around both suites. Differences are sunrise and sunset and size of room. There are also 2 free snorkeling trips a day with the island boat which is well worth doing as the marine life is so much better on the short journey.
Hi Maulik, sadly this formed part of our package so I couldn't give you a price specific to the sea plane. However I do remember reading at the time of our booking that the price of a seaplane transfer varies by Hotel but is usually a flat fee of $270 to $450 per person (roundtrip). But the time saved over the speedboat is well worth it.
