Not only has the player base improving drastically completely changed the game, but so did them making the strike zone slightly smaller. I remember when the ball just had to be touching the zone to be a strike. Now any 50/50 you’re praying for one. They need to go back to the old system. With the combination of that, shit pitching options, max elevation stadiums and the amount of foul balls it’s just too easy to hit in the game this year
Everyone plays at max elevation small parks so ERAs are a bit higher for that. Also lower ERAs would mean less “feeling rewarded” for good swings which would probably be reacted to negatively by the community. Just some thoughts

The second part of this made zero sense.
If someone had a low era, you’d feel more rewarded scoring on them than if they have a 10. That’s like fucking a girl that all your friends hit. It’s not impressive

Double play situations: most comp players work PCI from ground up. Try to catch them lacking and get two pop flies with hard to soft pitches.

Pitches that move away from the batter, dot low/away until you HAVE to throw a strike. You make it too easy for them lol

Guy threw legit sinker/cutter combo only both games. Didn’t see him throw one other pitch besides those 2. Cutter inside and up or mid, and sinker down and in almost every time… and yet somehow gets away with it, because the gameplay… Such a trash way to play. Sinkers need to be nerfed so hard. And offspeed needs to be buffed completely. If you actually watch MLB the pitchers constantly throw changeups and splitters in the top of the zone for strikes,and they’re rarely ever hit for HRs or even hits really… this game you throw any offspeed or splitter high in the strike zone, even with perfect release, it hangs so bad, and gets absolutely crushed 9 times out of 10…. Then if you square up a sinker or cutter with good timing/ and placement, it’s an out 90% of the time. Unless you perfect perfect sinkers, they’re mostly always outs. And you get entire games like this guy, where every pitcher they have has both pitches, and they throw both all game, and get away with it…. They need to end the sinker/cutter meta and move to having every pitch be dominant. Pitching needs need to be buffed as a whole back to 21 pinpoint pitching before everyone cried about how good the pitchers were…. Now you can throw 2 pitches all game and win somehow!!!

Yo Kyle, actual thoughts for a new game mode in mlb25, potentially one where a third person can play a co-op type of game (not ranked) and they are in charge of umpiring behind homeplate. That is they call balls/strikes, obv with the players having a challenge or two, and you get rewarded on accuracy and/or consistency. Just a thought, needs a few other thoughts so can bring it public with your input.

The top guys consistently play at Shield Woods and laughing Mnt and we're surprised ERAs are in the 10s? Play at Citizens Bank, Busch Stadium, or PNC and it's MUCH more realistic

The problem is how do you make the ERA get down?? Those guys all get perfect swings constantly. And if you nerf perfect hits everyone’s going to have a shit fit…. Pin point definitely needs to be buffed 100% back to 21 where you could actually locate and hit where you wanted. But these guys ares so good it doesn’t matter anyway. So there’s really no way to get the eras lower.
