    This video despite the blank prompts made working with Star CCM very interesting. Thanks the brilliant explanation

    You could always press the small question mark button next to your rotate angle to parameterise that value and the set it through the global parameter tab under tools, but with it set as a global parameter u can set up a design manager study which will give u a sweep through AoA and then export your results to a csv file for further analysis. Great video keep up the good work!

    "Unable to read the input .csv file. Please check the format of the file" Do you know how can I solve this problem ?? I repeated the same steps that you showed. Thanks

    Hey there, why did you choose to "reverse" when getting the data from airfoil plotter?

    Hi, I know this video is 3 years old so I don't expect a reply but when I import the csv file nothing shows in the window. A sketch is added to the part tree but nothing is visible. Any advice?

      I had the same issue, I added 0s in a third column to account for the z axis

    At 12:20 he says he gets a red dot next to Body 2 and the surface icons changed, this didn't happen for me. Any ideas?

      sorted, make sure your "sym" surfaces are separate lol

    At 15:06 timestamp, the mesh couldn't be done in my case, the warning message appeared "Cannot execute Automated Mesh (2D) Operation, all input parts must be badged for 2D Meshing. The following parts are not badged for 2D Mehing"
    Body 2
    I did it the same after following yours 2 times, still, it couldn't be done. Please help if possible!

    Is this 2D simulation or a 3D simulation?

    • @crisppyy_bacon3784
      @crisppyy_bacon3784 3 года назад

      It's 2D. For star-ccm+ you need to start with a 3D geometry, but when you run the simulation you specify a 2D flow
