    Faulty diagnosis. It could be the thermistor giving a wrong reading and cutting out too soon. You should not be so quick to conclude a problem without full investigation.

    ...nice video thanks . My boiler a valiant is also having the same problem . In addition I have noticed that the pressure drops and every 12 days I need to turn it up again . Does this mean I have another problem like a leak ? I have checked all the radiators and all seem fine . Naturally I cant see under the ground floor floor boards . Any advise welcome . Thank you .

    if i went to the trouble of cleaning a plate HE I'd 100% put a lime scale filter on mains before boiler to help stop it happening again. From the description of your problem id of tested or just swapped out NTC sensors too.

    Looks to me like u have the hot water control set on the low side. I let mine go momentarily into the 80c range .. Thermostat controlled shower valve can then cope and maintain a constant temp. If I set the dial lower I experience too much of a temperature variation in the shower.

    I have a similar problem with my boiler, it's so annoying. My system is insured so I've called someone out to look at it more than once and because the problem is intermittent, guaranteed it doesn't happen when they call. I've had the diverter valve replaced and the sensor. The engineer tells me that it's working fine and as it should be. It hasn't been fine since November 2022 when there was a leak and the diverter valve or something was replaced. I wonder sometimes if they've done something deliberately to make me change my boiler as it's over 15 years old.

    If there is sludge in the radiators, this would surely cause the heat exchanger to block again - I imagine fitting a brand-new one could also be a temporary fix!

      The heating system needs to be cleansed with Sentinel X800, fernox F5 or an equivalent powerflush additive. Then the plate heat exchanger can be replaced or cleaned with brick cleaning acid or one shot drain cleaner.

      A filter on heating and cold water supply will help keep plate heat exchanger healthy

    tip if you haven't already you should get a magnetic filter on your heating circuit (usually under the boiler) as this will collect any crap that's in your system and stop it going in to your boiler and causing damage to other pricey components. these can be cleaned out every year if you have a service or yo can do it yourself.

    I have a ideal combi boiler and both taps and shower hot water fluctuated hot and cold.
    The British gas engineer found a worn seal in the divertor valve, which was leaking water into the mounted electronic actuator.
    He removed the black box, removed the divertor and replaced the internal seal which was the size of a pin head.
    He replaced the black box actuator too.

    The issue of hot water running hot cold hot cold can be due to a heavily contaminated impeller. If so, it's a 30 minute £0:00 fix 👍👍

      @@cncmedia1461 Remove the pump clean all the derbies from the blocked impellor fins then replace the pump. Ohh and do remember to isolate the the water pressure before you remove the pump motor.....but if you needed to be told that maybe you should not be doing this yourself ??? Stay safe.

    i have baxi 105e and none of my lights are on when the heater is on. So I'm not getting at hot water as well as no heating. what might be the issue?

      I had the 80e Baxi. Landlord wasted money on a pcb, pressure reliefe valve, pump , heat exchanger, diverter valve. all these repairs came at different times until the boiler was condemned... the cause was sludge in the system, all it really needed was a full system flush £400, he spent more than that on repairs. The boiler was 12 years old and never had a flush in its whole working life.

    Central heating or domestic water heat exchanger?

  • @Zaine22
    @Zaine22 4 года назад +1

    That's most likely cause you don't have a Magna clean installed on your heating system or your not getting it serviced every year

    • @learnasido533
      @learnasido533  4 года назад

      I had a Magna clean but not long moved into the house so you could be right about the servicing to be fair.

    • @JohnSmith-rw2yn

      I am the same, hot water, tap is hot if only just turned on, but if I turn it on fully and the water is faster its lukewarm or cold. I think it's the same problem as he mentioned, the water is clogged getting too hot and because its clogged it's not getting out the tap fast enough

    Obviously you can’t do it yourself… to take the case of you have to be gas safe.
