- I'm making a small upgrade from a Ryzen 5800X system to the newer Intel 14th "Gen" series CPU, specifically the 14700k. I mostly pulled the trigger on this because the wife needed an upgrade, real bad. I've also kept certain features in mind for the future when this hardware begins to age and I end up repurposing it for other jobs.

All of those fans are sure to produce enough thrust to escape earth's gravity!
God I wish. That would be pretty cool. There goes the ARGBEEEEEEE satellite
Absolutely, set QuickSync for OBS streaming and it won't take resources from your Nvidia GPU.
Interesting the 4090 has two encoders built in but I haven't really established how much it may or may not effect gaming.
I recommend this too. Even heavy gaming doesn't completely use 100% of CPU,
Should have stuck with the reliable DDR2
Man…. I would but I’m all out and I only had DDR3 laying around
Great Video editing BTW
Thanks friend
What did you do in the bios to get past 4800MHz.
I havent found anyone but you claiming you got 4 sticks to post above 4800MHz ?
I only have 2 sticks. Also also it’s becomes very unstable at 7200MT/s. I’m down to 6800MHz.
But just use XMP 3.0
Interesting ... and well done!
love your videos! what would be a good router for gaming ive seen you tear down so many haha, which one would you recommend for gaming in particular?
I don't think any router in particular would be advantageous in owning for gaming. Just make sure you have a wired connection to any router and that would be best. Also, if Fiber is available in your area, then fiber would be the best way to gain any advantage due to the lower latency it provides.
Currently i am with an i7 14700k with a 4070 ti and an 860W SMPS. Plan to uphrade to a 4090 would it require an smps upgrade to 1000W. Secondly kind request to see your cpu temp during gaming with the 360 cooler as i am now with a 240mm. Mine stays at around 67 celcius during gaming in msfs 2020. Would appreciate a response.
DDR3 ram ? Its 2023 who uses ddr3 ram ? Only cool kids use EDO!
Way too dynamicly cool for me.
DDR3 is the Hipster RAM of 2023/2024. /s
I have the same board, except I have the i9 14900k cpu . How did the 7200 ram behave ? Max stock ram speed for that board is 5600, how high could you get? Thanks
7200 is not stable for me. I can usually, get to the desktop but normally can't even browse the internet. 6800MT/s is more stable but gaming is impossible. Crashes as soon as textures load into memory. Normally can't even open games. 6600MT/s is better but Escape From Tarkov crashes too frequently at this speed, other games work and generally it's rare to crash. 6400MT/s is 100% stable, no crashes to date.
That mobo is overkill
Yes it is. Would not recommend to anyone
@@SPXLabs would you agree that switching to Intel yielded smoother frame pacing opposed to amd ?
I might switch out my 7800x3d in the future.
i feel like since the L2 cache only has 1mb per core it’s not the best for certain games.
if you could test blood hunt with your setup I would appreciate it :).
I also have a 4090
@silfrido1768 the only thing I noticed a difference in from the switch was my system didn’t briefly lag/lock up when streaming to discord. As in I’d move the mouse and it would take a few seconds to move. Only while streaming to discord. After the switch, discord streaming has been buttery smooth.
7800x3d benchmarks better than the 14700k, it’s a great cpu for sure. I recommend that to everyone. I only switched back for streaming purposes which hasn’t gone well at all
old parts mean new server!!
I’ve used it as a server in the past. Unfortunately I’ve got so much hardware for servers already I’m not sure what I would do with it
“Not the best gaming CPU by any means”. Dude the I7 14700k is in the top 5 best.
It’s the only way to find the cultists.
IF CPU 14700K NEED UPDATE BIOS ?
Ummm I did not need to update the bios but I did update it anyway because there was a newer version available
Any reason you didn't use the top nvme?
No reason in particular. I think I used the middle one because the sticker was on it .
@@SPXLabsthe top one is faster because it connects to the cpu instead of the chipset.
Doesnt matter for me, just gaming. It’s already fast enough and my games load from a 4tb SSD SATA array so there isn’t any benefit for me to change slots.
So you didn't know which slot to use but it's fine because your satisfied and it works? Got it.
Yup nailed it
Is this a don't do as I do build? Were you drinking while building....that is frowned upon!!!
I think the only videos that are do as I do are guides but even then that’s a stretch
When did you realize you had the memory in the wrong slot? lol
Way, way, waayyyy too late.
ddr3 nice!
Only the greatest fastest available too!
Love you boo
Figured it would be a funny joke.
Edit!!!
Sometimes
First
stop playing tarkov. play bg3!
I’m trying 😭its so hard to stop!
