I alwqys introduced my dogs on neutral ground and it went well. It always took a few weeks for them to become actual "friends" but since they trust me and respect my decissions, none ever attacked the puppy (correcting it is totally fine as it helps me with raising it). However it was completely different with my Japanese Akita. She was already 9 when my other dog passed and became heavily depressed. I didn't want another dog but she needed a new partner. She is obedient, off leash and nice with all dogs and animals but still an Akita plus the age difference, so I expected it to be more difficult when I introduced my new white GSD puppy on neutral ground. Well, it went different and she just wagged her tail and loved him from the very first second 🥰 she's almost 12 now and the new dog gave her much quality of life and she's more sctive and happy. It's so easy if done right but many people make it too difficult for themself and the dog by being too careless or uneducated.
