Left my job in June ... Once I found trading and started making more than I was while working. That was it for me! Though I was lucky enough to use leverage from an expert, it gave me flexibility to still work while I enjoy market returns.
To me, the fear of losses or the emotional concerns of losing are proportional to the amount of money one has saved and is using for trading. If you have only 5k saved and you use it to trade, and you lose $100, it hurts more than if you had 5k to trade, but also have savings of 50k in another account. This is why I always trade only a smaller portion of my total savings. It's much better for me emotionally. I'm like saying to myself, "if I lose, no worries. I was planning on it".
I’ve been at it for 2 years now but still inconsistent. Lost over a hundred K so trust me when I say even following these RUclips tutorials doesn’t always cut it
If it was easy everyone would be at it mate and we'd have walking billionaires, its why my message is always do it alongside other things, or get a job, work on yourself your mindset your emotional composure, habits, health its way more than just technicals and I found that out the hard way myself. For profitable strategies consider networking with industry experts, having guidance from a seasoned professional who has already mastered the complexities of refining and applying rules to suit can be a wise approach. It allows for consistently successful trades while still honing your skills as a beginner. It's the method that worked for me!
That makes sense. A more conservative, strategic approach to trading sounds ideal.

I have to push back on the SMT concept. Because when do you know it’s an SMT? The only way you know that particular point is going to be an SMT is after the day is already over. just because it forms “SMT”and gives a couple of bullish candles that can quickly turn around. Then you wouldn’t mark it as an SMT at the end of the day lol😂

@@mhik_el yeah I know the concept. But I’ve also watched him Trade live and he’s constantly marking out SMT that don’t hold up. And that’s my point is that you don’t know there SNT until the days already over and then you can go back and go hey look there’s an SMT.
@@darkmxhishot7475 SMT is a biproduct of fractal EXPANSIVE structure. Also SMTs don't last forever it has to do with the context of the POI and DOL. if the DOL is taken then price could reverse and take you out on a smaller TF MMXM. If you're familiar with phases of price, you must understand if you're in consolidation or expansion. Consolidation will lead to Low resistance liquidity being taken constantly and this is when SMTs are common but aren't likely to hold because DOLs are being taken constantly in the form of highs and lows. If were in expansion PA will build up liquidity and leave the SMTs, this is when to use them. Without getting into advanced market structure, the best rule of thumb is if price has a reason to look lower after forming the SMT then expect a turtle soup. This is why its better to look for a higher tf SMT.
If you have a tad bit of common sense, you would know that some SMT divergencies hold during the sessions which means that you can catch the entries

There’s no help to that. This is a You vs You. You know dame will you shouldn’t overtrade. Only you can overcome that mindset. Or you can let the market HUMBLE you enough that you’re scare to over trade again. After losing like thousands of dollars for that to happen.

Hey Justin I'm not sure what you meant @ 34:28 by "that low wasn't there" i can see clearly on that 15m chart that there is a swing low and by "simple internal price action" do you just mean consolidation? The only difference I'm seeing between the two is the SMT
when he zoomed out to the bigger time frame, yes it was a candle low, but it wasn’t a true swing low
@@joshk1257 it had a higher candle on each side, that’s a swing low. And since it’s rebalanced a FVG it’s a ITL so I’m not following
on a smaller tf it’s a swing low. but look where the next major swing low is on that tf which is around 12:00 with the big wick
@@joshk1257 to be clear we’re both talking about the 15m tf? I see the low at 10:15 get swept at 10:45, on the 15m tf that looks to be clearly an inducement. How is the classically defined swing low not a swing low, what’s the context, when you say next major swing low are you saying higher tf than the 15m? Like a 30m - 1hr sweep since that’s outside of the smaller tf consolidation?

Smart Money Technique. When you see a crack in correlation between correlated assets.
Ex: GBP/USD makes a lower low and EUR/USD makes a higher low. This would be an SMT and you'd want to look for your trade on the pair which made the higher low as this shows more strength. Bearish example you'd want to look for a trade on the pair that made the lower high as this is a sign of weakness. Hope that helps.

@@jonathanroberts7039 ES and NQ are correlated assets. So when he's marking out an SMT with NQ he is comparing it with ES. If you trade forex then you can use pairs such as GBP/USD and EUR/USD which are correlated assets.

Getting ready for the new trading week.
You are surely talking about me: my first few trades in the morning are usually profitable. But then greed takes over (and it is still early in the morning) and before I know it all my gains are gone and I am actually losing money (demo account of course, but still very annoying). I really feel if I could get this one thing under control I could be consistently profitable.
You already identified the problem just take one trade a day and whether it is a winner or loser journal it and do not take any more trades.
