I crushed an 8.5km run this morning. I didn't want to get out of bed but I knew Russ was out crushing his 1's and 2's so I laced up and went on stompin'.
it’s actually mental when you realise what he’s doing. At my fittest I could probably do two marathons back to back, this man has done 33, absolutely insane !!!!
Did a half marathon yesterday in the heat. I felt tired halfway through because it was so hot but then I remembered to just keep stomping those 1's and 2's. The game is the game.
I was running the fastest marathon ever and I felt like giving up, but than I remembered that Russ is out there stomping so I decided to continue and got the record!
Literally ran 10km for the first time ever the other day because of these videos
i was on a 100,000 km run last morning. I felt tired and wanted to give up but then i remembered how Russ was stomping through his 1's and 2's in africa. This gave me the motivation and i proceeded to circumnavigate the whole globe twice before nightfall. Russell Geezerson Cook is so inspiring and truley one of the gingers of all time.
"When the sun comes up in Africa, you best be running lad"- Get that on a t-shirt
I love how casual 20k is to Russ. 'See you in 20k mate', and then when he rocks up after 20k he is hardly even sweating. Dude is an animal. Last time i ran 21k i had such bad chafing on my bum cheeks it hurt to sit down for days.
That shot with the group behind you on the motorway was pure Forest Gump. Goosebumps mate
I came here to say the exact same thing 😂
A stomper is a stomper does.
Still my favourite moment
Namibia you should be proud of yourselves, what a symbol of kindness, generosity and friendship.
Absolutely. What a beautiful bunch of people.
Guys, if the sickness is recurring, you need to have Russ tested for intestinal parasites by a physician! I'm an airline pilot and I have had two or three of those parasites when I used to fly long range. The thing is, some of them don't go away without very specific medication and will keep sapping Russ' energy until they are eradicated. So PLEASE do see a Doctor about it , okay? It just doen't make sense to imperil the whole thing like that, because these microscopic geezers are definitely harder still. Okay? The very, very best wishes from Germany, Marco.
He makes good points! Don't sacrifice the mission for stubbornness and pride!
They have been to a doctor since the video I believe! Good advice
Yes according to his instagram, which is about two weeks ahead, he has gone to a doctor
@@albert9248 I've been trying not to look at the insta lol
They did go to a doctor.
I'm 28 and am stuck in a huge rut. I feel like I've let myself and my family down, wasted my potential, and pushed all my friends away. I even feel like my family are losing hope in me. I was having suicidal tendencies the other day, feeling very sorry for myself and depressed, but I'm just happy this series has coincided with this tough time in my life. I keep thinking - if I really have lost all hope and I really can't pick myself back up, I could at the very least start running. i'm very inactive and sit on the sofa all day every day, and I wonder why I'm depressed. thanks for shwing me that this is an option
You're never alone bro! Keep your head high and go for a run. Also look into doing a 10 day Vipassana meditation course, If you can sit through those 10 days it will help you immensely.
Running the way forward, make a schedule and stick to it. Routine, routine, routine!
Get stomping on the 1s and 2s and it will better you bro. Don't be disheartened if you don't make immediate process as well. In a vouple of years you'll think yourself
Small steps Calum. Don’t even feel the need to run, just get out and walk. That’s a physical step in the right direction!
I’m having cold showers every morning, as they give me a rush of dopamine when I wake up. Every time I don’t want to do it I just say to myself: “we don’t do rest days” 😂
Look after yourself man x
Don't think, just jump into action.
Hey! 🥳🥳🥳My husband and son both made it into the episode (16:30 is my boy, and he is super stoked to have a cameo!)
Keep on stomping those those 1's & 2's
Russ got me signing up to a half marathon in October, smashing ones and twos 3 times a week. Smashed 12k (longest ever run) the other day and loving it
Well done dude!
Wow, that group run was one to remember. What a lovely bunch of people! I'm sure you've inspired many locals. Thanks for the video.
Ewie seems like such a top lad!
the windhoek guy seems like a legend
All them people turning out for him, nothing less than he deserves. Hats off to the people of Namibia
What a moving episode - God Bless the Namibians!
Before this, all I knew was Namibia was a country in Africa. After this video, I know its home to some of the nicest people about.
Just love this series, Russ you're smashing it and the team - you guys are smashing it too!! So much love
Honestly mate, I'm watching this with a huge smile on my face, you truly are an inspiration, not just for what you're doing and the good causes you're representing, but with how you're approaching it with your amazing attitude. You will have an impact on so many people's lives throughout this series, not just in Africa, but with the people watching worldwide.
The Hardest Geezer Bible: its the same number of pages, all left pages are full of 2s and right pages are full of 1s
Seeing everyone running alongside Russ with massive smiles on their faces is such a great moment to see and gives you goosebumps. Makes you realise how great the world and people are in a time when negativity is everywhere. Russ is doing so much and he’s absolutely smashing all the 1s and 2s on the tarmac
Great watch! And thanks for putting Namibia on the map. 🇳🇦
I didn't know much about Namibia before this series, but wow! What a country! You're an inspiration Russ, this series is the best thing i have seen in a long time.
You're now 2023 Forest Gump >.> Bloody well done, no idea how you do it.
I don’t think I’ve ever found myself tearing up while watching a youtube video before but here we are, the support of the Namibian people was a magical thing to see!
I think I recall russ saying a while back the last stint in Tunisia would be open for everyone to come and run that final stretch with him?!? genuinely considering making the trip feels like a once in a life time opportunity to be a small part of something this big!
KEEP SMASHING TARMAC!!!
I thought so as well!!
Did you go?!
Absolutely phenomenal leg of the journey. Super inspirational.
I remember seeing this on the Twitter updates and I reckon it’s one of the best images of 2023 - you a pastey ginger man running through the desert with all the Namibians behind you like Forrest Gump
I just ran a 10k for the first ever time after training for a month or so. Your videos and journey has inspired me massively. You’re doing wonders fella, keep stompin!
This is the best thing on youtube right now.

I made a vlog in Namibia in 2010, its an amazing contry. Loving this challenge, kudos to the whole production team too, you guys are all stars
Great stuff Russ, people are noticing how incredible you are and how inspiring your journey is. 1s and 2s all the way across Africa, I couldn't be happier for you!
That's an honourable homepage to the Hominid spirit. And to the legend of Benji C. Who ran from nowadays: city of Benguela, Angola; to the city of Cape Town, R.S.A.; back and forth. And around 50 years ago. The Namibian dude, that appears at 8:14 of the above posted video, dresses in a speedo and a cape; in homage to the traditional goat leather skin speedo; that the possumus great Benji C. used during his adventure run, across the also: great ancient nation of the Angolares.
Amaaaaaazing. Got such a buzz watching Russ run with the crowd. So inspiring guys. Putting in some graft to get these videos out
United in motion and spirit. This is more than plain running. You bring people together. That is amazing!
Hearing those chants while running must’ve been surreal. Amazing!
Windhoek, Russ Cook. nice rhyme
Except the 2nd vowel is more like the vowel in the word ‘word’ and ‘work’.
did the st albans half marathon in the heat today and have barely moved the rest of the day, this bloke is an animal
6:55 I loved that proverb! 😅😂🤣🤣😂😅😅😂🤣😂😂 Also, regenerated by the Holy Spirit 🤣
Russ your the GOAT! Massive fair play to you lad!!!
Your truely changing lives Russ. The videos are just phenomenal and so inspiring. Rooting for you all the way from the cape to the tip of this incredible continent 🔥🇦🇺 Also big respect to all the boys, the editing is insane. Big love from Australia!
That quote at the beginning was top geezer quality
OMG! this is the start of the group running days! it is always best to run with others, you feed of eachothers energy
So inspiring. That day running through Windhoek must have been one of the best days of your life. Such an amazing and powerful thing just to see a man running everyday. Love it
Great story, great atmosphere to see you all running and chanting
Literally need to get ones n twos to top of the charts
This episode was so great! Having all those people running of you brought tears to my eyes, not only because of happiness for seeing you receiving so much love, but also of how great running is. There's no better feeling in the world! You're amazing!
Epic scenes, an army of stompers flooding the streets, with a police escort. Keep it up fellas.
unreal, crazy support and inspiration!
Amazing! Vids are getting better and better.
Namibia is probably the one country in Africa...maybe the world (?)...that I've only ever heard positive things about. Can't think of another off hand. Would love to visit there someday.
So true. I'll be there in 3 months and these vids are getting me even more excited
First time really hearing of it from these past few videos, and I'm already convinced I want to visit immediately.
It's an awesome country! Botswana as well!
The maddest thing about all this is that Russ is doing it fueled almost exclusively on biscuits and cans of energy drinks.
Ah man tears in my eyes watching this episode. What an epic show of human support and love. Loving my lunchtime geezer binging. So inspired
loved the chanting! and supportive energy
Most inspiring video yet, currently tying my laces for some morning 1’s and 2’s
Just an idea but when you are going through the rough parts of Africa you should have 1 person cycling with you who’s a local just to help incase
Big up the hardest geezer can guarantee you’ve inspired a lot of people to get out there and start running
No excuses
Every new episode is the new best episode!
This video made me happy from mo fara's video to everyone running together😊
The love and support you've got around is unreal I used to live in South Africa this makes me miss it even more
Just dropped by, stayed, loved the energy and spirit. Liked. Waiting for new content.
Thanks
Watching this well after Russ has finished, slightly hungover on a rest day.. gutted I can’t go out and smash some miles in! Cannot wait for tomorrow morning so I can lace up and put the work in!! best episode yet! Excited to watch the rest of the journey
unreal!!!!!!!!!! pure goosebumps watching everyone join you running.
I could cry bro, this is so beautiful. Good people coming out just for the love of running and being together. Love to everybody on the most beautiful continent in the world!
It’s so good to see Russ getting the coverage he deserves! Amazing human and so inspiring! I remember watching a video ages ago of (I think it was russ) doing a marathon on the stairs and now look! Makes it even sweeter that he’s just a normal lad from England, he’s helping more people than he realises, thanks Russ!❤
Only a matter of time before this gets the coverage it deserves. So much unity and positivity being showcased on this journey. Keep smashing the 1 & 2s Russ.
Amazing. Windhoek is a great place.
Keep safe
Massive inspiration Russ, got goosebumps watching all those people run and chant for you! Signed up for my first marathon in October so I best get stompin’.
I ran a 10k pb yesterday. Keep it up mate, you're a weapon.
Goosebumps watching this. Keep going bruv. Everyone is behind you 👊🏻
I hope Russ's media team can send the word up the route ahead and have all sorts of locals and celebs joining in!! This is an epic feat, epic story!! Legend in the making.
That's was really heartwarming, I'm hyped to see what's still in store!
Very motivational man, i started to run 3 momths ago and since then i run everyday, 20 km sometimes 30 km a day, i finished already 2 marathon, and i am planning next one. In 2 weeks i run ultra marathon 55 km (only) and then in august marathon in Germany. I live in Netherlands and i am originally from Czechia. And just watching your story, i decided i am gonnna run from Amsterdam to Czechia, my home town on the east of czech republic. I wanna run it in 2 weeks there and back, its in total 2400 km. 😀 i am gonna run it from 1 october, on my bday, lets go mate, keep it up!!
Every video is getting better & better. Keep up the 1's & 2's and looking forward to many more great videos along the journey!
Simply amazing. Such a feel good chapter in an inspirational story.
This series will finally get you the recognition you deserve :)
This is amazing, the coverage and traction is coming. When you finish this it will get the recognition it deserves!
What an episode! Having all those people join you, singing and chanting the whole way was epic! Big props to that guy for organising it and Russ for inspiring it
So good. I watched this ep with a massive grin on my face and tears in my eyes. Thanks Russ, this is the only show I look forward to every week. I'm not getting out daily for my own 1s and 2s, but getting a few hours in a week is still better than before. Such an inspiration. Cheers bruv :)
I look forward to watching your uploads after my runs so much 😍 Inspiration!!
