I LOVE this time of year!
Not me
Let's hope for some really great thunderstorms that have loud thunder, a lot of lightning, and last forever when they do it!
How do you feel about this time of year now? We're breaking all of the heat records in Southern Arizona (I live in Casa Grande) and we have another month of this hellish weather. Basically every day is 109-115. It's been like that for two weeks in a row, and it's going to be going for another month. A month and a half straight of 110°+ temperatures.
This is the exact opposite of last monsoon season. We had so many amazing storms, and we were relatively cool (by Arizona standards) because of it
I want off of this ride now. :(
@@ShawshankR3demptionWe haven't had a single storm in Casa Grande. Not one. The closest we got was some dry lightning, which is awful because that can cause fires extremely easily because of how damn dry it has been. The rain is what cools the valley down, and so far... No rain.
This is brutal. And some people are stupid enough to go hiking near the mountain trails at peak temperatures...
IT is faith commin your way
Without the monsoon, we'd have a long, painfully hot summer dry season and the biodiversity would drop significantly. It's importance can't be understated. Love it.
It's the best....hopefully we don't have a dry year
@@EonsOfIdiocySo.... Over two weeks of 110°+ temperatures... And it's going to stay like this for another month. All of the records are being broken, and it's easily the worst summer we've had since we moved here ten years ago.
So, basically what has been happening for the last two weeks? It's AWFUL. I told my mom before summer started that I really hoped this summer would be like last year. Last year was fairly cool (by Arizona standards) because of the constant monsoons...
Ugh. This is the complete opposite of that.
@@Tcrror yeah, it sucks man but thankfully I'm not in southern az so it's a little better on my part, but these pine trees need the water to stay happy it sucks so far but we still have a couple more months let's see what happens...they say this heat is what's necessary to develop the storm patterns but its wishful thinking that we might have a good yet delayed season, anything can happen I suppose. From what I've read in future years climate change will affect Arizona this way; the dry years will be drier, the wet years will be wetter
Overpowering upper level high is suppressing convection and humidity. I'm not convinced yet that this monsoon is lost. There are signs of the pattern evolving. The high is shifting north. Now, it just needs to weaken some. So far, it's been incredibly obnoxious and frustrating.
we too have monsoon season .
in india ..we being on the west coast it rains crazy ..
4000 mm to 7000 mm .
157 inch in 4 months
This video was so well done thank you for this!!
Always exciting
Living in the Safford area, I love to watch them from to the North along the rim every day. I love the Monsoon.
I hope it rains this summer because 112 degrees means death. Cloud cover is most appreciated. I hate not having a car during the summer.
Well, it's been 109°-115°+ for over two weeks straight.. I hope you and your loved ones are staying as cool as possible, because this is brutal.
Easily the worst summer we've had since my mom and I moved here ten years ago.
@@Tcrror , our AC went out and it's been hotter than a steak on the grill.
Can the monsoons come now please, the AC in my car just gave out 😂
You forgot another thing that can happen in monsoon storms: Funnel Clouds and Tornadoes! Although rare for Arizona, they do tend to happen!
Being from Tornado Alley I wondered about that after seeing some of those storms
@@pumpkinproblem Yea, heck a week ago last sunday, an EF1 touched down in Star Valley! Severe damage to wood structures were reported.
Does it hit the whole state or just Phoenix?
And also more buildings getting built, the more the rain is gonna destroy. And before there wasn't anything there to be destroyed, so also consider that.
Here we Go again
I expect it to never rain again
I’m not ready
❤BN❤❤❤❤❤ ❤
Ok, I thought this was a vid about what to expect for nonsoon?
I think it's safe to say that monsoon season has been a little bit light in the loafers the last 2-3 seasons. Great argument to support climate change perhaps.
The storms we've been getting in November seem powerful, though.
mother's nature: FU humanity, no rain this yeah, ain't gonna give you 💩
I expect it to not rain
Geo engineering , weather modification is in full swing ! Thanks department of defense for keeping temperatures down here in western Arizona ! We are at April weather it's going on July ! I love when the planes spray their barium and nano particles of aluminum then spray low or high pressure systems to control the weather ! Woo hoo !
