      So do I have to worry about this shit in New Zealand? 🇳🇿 I’m a dual citizen 🇨🇦 I know where I’m from they can do this type of shit but don’t. Some provinces have antiSLAPP but unfortunately we do not. I nearly got sued by the Freedom Convoys lawyer Eva Chipiuk for making a parody tiktok account baiting her. She also sued my boy. Funny how the FREEDOM! Corp. is anti freedom. My escape route was to leave to NZ if shit hit the fan. I feel like NZ is better but you’d be the one to know 🤔

      How, oh how are we going to cure your delusion that voting will fix corruption? The entire system is a corporate farce, the 'at least slightly better with Labour' trope is pure delusion.
      I protested in the early 90s in the bellinger/coffs region and it was precisely the same gameplay. Forestry committed daily crimes against logging regulations and frequent thuggery against anyone who opposed it; locals, veteran timber families, biologists, farmers and protesters all were crucified for trying to stop the slaughter. We had labour govt then too.
      Forestry never held to account even for criminal acts against people and the cops always covered for them and harassed those drawing attention to illegal logging and criminal thuggery, and so did the courts and gov lawyers that kept everyone tangled in spurious red tape and atrocious misuses of the justice system.
      Entire river systems have been killed since then. The monopoly companies getting timber at prices that can only be referred to as outright theft against the people of NSW called the shots, all the public servants licked their boots and fell in line. The green pollies were as much to blame as the rest, either thru total inaction or egregious self-serving deals that were criminal in themselves.
      Good video, thanks for the exposure to the very old problem. Wish you all the best.

      As above commenters, I think you're mistaken. These resources aren't 'wasted', they're being employed as intimidation tactics. I understand you mean they shouldn't be used this way, and in that regard they are 'wasted'. But, this is how these resources are being abused by those in power. Nobody but a few stand up to it, and it's an intimidation technique to stem it. Here's the thing, WE AS AUSTRALIANS - are complicit. We're doing nothing, we all know Australia isn't a democracy and Australia is under authoritarian rule. It has been for a long time, COVID19 made that abundantly clear. We the citizens turn a blind eye because attempting to action a change is inconvenient. So you either accept this is the new status quo for the usage of police resources and you watch the world burn (god forbid you're among the millions that do this and have children who will inherit the results of this ignorance, which I dont understand) or you remain ignorant and work your 9 to 5 like the majority of people do. Because nobody wants to stand up to this shit. I'm an Australian, and I think we're all fucking pathetic. I'd love to stand with fellow Australians to stop the corruption. But I, like the rest, do not want to inconvenience myself. The minor difference here is: I know this is how the system works. Based on your comment, you seem to think this is out of place. This is the status quo. The rich run the show and the rest suffer. We're heading for 1 of 2 scenarios. The rich destroy the environment enough that we cannot recover and that is the end of humanity. The cost of living rises so high that enough people cant afford it, and we have a revolution. And I hate to paraphrase but as Russel Brandt has established: if all things detrimental to human society are avenues for profit, than what can you fucking expect?

Trying to swipe it out of his pocket while you think no one's looking and BEFORE beginning an arrest shows they had an interest in separating him from his phone without there being any official record of it. Given he has a history of filming police brutality and criminal behaviour committed by the police and Forestry NSW, I think we can all guess why they wanted to snatch his phone. Q. What do you think happens if evil & destructive behavior is allowed to continue?
      Q. Why would you ever choose to live in THAT world or make someone else live in it? Is the life you guard right now, worth all the lives you are destroying in the future?
      In other words, he is aware that the potential consequences to not acting on this is far greater than the consequences to acting on it. At worst he (and those close to him) get silenced, tortured and killed for his actions, when the other option at its worst, is him sacrificing his planet(and its inhabitants), just for him to have a comfortable life. In that case the benefits of that comfortable life eventually fade anyway, and future generations will have to deal with the consequences and it'll be much harder to fix at that point.
      The difference between him and a "normal person", is that he is playing the long game and not the short one.

      At university we did a subject called ethics. It was nothing like I expected, but to the uni's credit it was very correct. Basically said that if you become a whistle blower your career is over and no one will ever hire you again. This was done by looking at a few case studies. So you have to choose between your career and ethics. I was studying engineering.

    • @vihmaussivenitaja
      @vihmaussivenitaja 9 месяцев назад

      And yet he's the one officially charged with stalking... It seems all the accusations against him are projection in some way. This is the thing for governments all over the world - accusing protesters of being "violent" when the police are the ones who actually do violent acts first. Philosophy Tube has a good video about violence and protest, puts things into perspective, so you begin to notice how violence is being talked about - when the government does it, it's simply not called "violence".
