9:50 nah, every class in the game has a tonne of unique voice lines for domination and revenges against every class, usually involving some sort of tailored insult. Scouts "Hey look, you shape-shifted into a dead guy!" For Spy being one of my favourites.
If you think about it, it's kind of odd that they made Heavy the poster child of the Ubercharge, when he's already the tankiest class in the game. The less bulky, high burst damage classes like Demo and Soldier seem like the best candidates to show off what the Uber is for.
He is tanky but when you rev your gun a swarm of soldiers with their high damage can send you ragdolling so why not more tanky? Plus minigun go brr is easier to choreograph?
@@maexslg-at I don't play the game, but your mobility is really low and also what's the point making a class that's supposed to tank more tanky, so I would assume demo or solider are the two best options because of high dps and splash damage.
@@lucasellis183 The minigun is high forgiveness close\mid range dps, so there are times where not letting that 300 hp run out pays off, but outside of defending a point from a push, it rarely comes up.
@@lucasellis183 heavy on his own isn't too great as a tank class, like that 300 health can easily be shredded by not just demo, soldier, and snipers. But also scout and even engineer with their shotgun base primaries in close range. Which is difficult for heavy to hit consistently in very close range, especially when they keep juking around his line of sight. in a lot of fight scenarios, due to heavy's limited mobility and a lot of tf2's maps have a lot of choke points and flank routes, He can be countered. The only time heavy is effective is while being healed by a medic, fighting against relatively inexperienced players and unprepared players.
@Leeloo_the_foxeh i feel like if you want to uber someone into an engie's nest it would still be better to just uber the soldier or demoman to get rid of it better. Only time I've found use for uber heavy is too brawl in the cap point
11:00 Fun fact that got discussed in another video, (I think it was his behind the scenes for demoman) which shows that he was 100% screwed in this situation, no matter what he could have done. Basically, to prevent Demoman suicide-bombers, there’s a mechanic to his sticky-bombs where if HE is in the blast radius of a whole bunch of sticky bombs, it doesn’t matter how many he placed or how many enemies there are around him. The number of stickies that will explode will ONLY be just enough to kill HIM, and the rest will disintegrate. Example, a full-health Heavy (I’ll highball it) takes 5 stickies to kill, while a Demoman who is already almost dead drops all 8 stickies onto the enemy Heavy he’s standing right next to, and hits the detonator. 1 sticky will explode, damaging the Heavy, and killing the Demoman, while the remaining 7 just disappear.
So the brilliant thing with Valve games and Source Film Maker is that it all runs in the same engine. You can record a demo in the game, which will log all the inputs given to an avatar, do a run from point to point, shooting, etc, or even just take actual gameplay recorded as a demo, put it into SFM and it will render all of that as an animation which can be edited and toggled with to a degree. That's why the transitions can be so seamless. It's also how they made the Meet the Team animations and how a plethora of community fan-made stuff has come about.
Fun fact: If you hold your melee weapon and press C+2 "Battle cry" while looking at an enemy, you'll have special lines for that as well. The lines are the same regardless of what class you're looking at. They do change according to the class you play as. There are multiple lines for each voice line. Even for the domination and the thing I just said. For example, spy dominating demoman, "Aw, don't be so sad, you did a fine job tossing your little balls around" and "Here's what I have that you don't, a functioning liver, depth perception and a pulse!" Domination lines differ from who (class) you're dominating and what class you're playing as.
I really like your reactions and content, you actually edit your reactions and add stuff and not just watch. Lazy is one of the most important people to the community, he helped it grow even though it already huge, it helped newbies choose which classes to play, I wouldn't say he saved the community, but for sure made a huge impact.
Other than the normal way to play the classes you can also completely change the way they work entirely(like demonight). Watch Elmaxos "The Art of the subclass"
4:35 - Yep. Soldier's a public defender, no less. Scout once said he had a LAMP as a lawyer. And when offered the option of Soldier as his public defender again? He wanted THE LAMP instead.
One and the same on the editing front. Replays can be directly input into SFM and edited, changed in any way you can creatively imagine. That is in-game footage and it's in an animation program, both.
22:18 One thing to mention, "TF2 etiquette" is not a thing as far as I know. It's not written down. But _He KEPT healing Lazy. THAT'S THE OBVIOUS "Yeah sure I'll uber you" sign._ He didn't go elsewhere, give everyone some overheal, go to the heavy, no, he KEPT HEALING LAZY. That's legitimately being baited.

heavy is best to uber in defensive situations or if you're already at the objective, or need to survive while he keeps the enemy at bay at a choke point. But anybody that sees a heavy coming can either kill his medic before he can do anything, or stall him until the uber runs out. Pocket medics disgust me, but TEAM medics? Oh I'll defend them with my lives as any class.

This is true, i believe he confirmed it in the extras video.
Yup
Of course he was. On stream. In front of hundreds of people. You're either committed to the bit or you're not a good Demoman.
Yup he was actually did
Devotion to the role
17:15 Lazy was committed alright. He drank enough that he actually projectile vomited. You can find his comment pinned in the Demoman video.
Oh you gotta watch the extras for this one! Lazy went full Demoman on his stream, we need it for the laughs! o/
