Also! Pro tip, if I may, coming from a person who backpacked over 1000 miles last year, don’t get rid of the various LAYERS, as I am sure you will be cold, especially while at camp, but consider dropping some of the MULTIPLES. You don’t need multiple hiking shirts , sports bras and pants options. You are gonna stink, there is no way around it, so just embrace it and save yourself the weight. The only thing I would bring “multiples” of is socks (in case one gets wet), an extra pair of undies, and separate clothes to sleep in so you always have something warm and dry to wear at night. Happy Trails, and have the time of your life!!!! ❤
I was not expecting this type of content on this channel, but I love it! I’m so invested in this now and really hope the trip goes well and all those participating will make so many memories and have the trip of a lifetime!
Pro tip: use the blister patches (or just leukotape) PREVENTIVELY because you’re almost certainly going to get blisters if you don’t and they’re much easier to avoid than to deal with!! A little leukotape behind your heels goes a long way
YES the toe socks help prevent blisters! as a runner, i use them on long runs (over a couple hours) and so do maaaany ultra marathon runners. they are so weird but can make a big difference
dangggg i’m so excited for the everest vlog!!!!! have fun but stay safe brooklyn!!!! you will be fine bailey!!!! hang in there and brooklyn will be back soon!!!! saw your instagram and dakota is not feeling well, praying for a speedy recovery and all is well on the trip!!!!! so proud of u twins always, have been watching since u were a freshman in college, and have loved it ever since, ily, best twins to watch ever 💕
Also not sure if you've already left but i'd recomend something like down Hut booties for in the tent vs. the hard sole moc. They are lighter and compress as they are down but this also means they are incredibly warm in your sleeping bag (coming from a Canadian who wears them in the winter)
Hi Brooklyn and Bailey tysm for being an amazing and inspiring RUclipsrs! Can u pls do a hide and seek challenge soon after your hike and when I have the time. Bye asa, Bailey, Dakota, and Brooklyn!
So the toe socks ok so my bsf we are like twins and our cheer coach she’s 21 she’s like our bestfriend and so at practice my bsf had toe socks on and she took her shoes off and showed our coach and she FREAKED out and now we “torture” her with toe socks😂
Looking forward to seeing the Everest vlog! I’m sure you will have the time of your life. Bailey, hang in there while Brooklyn is gone. You got this! I’m sure Brooklyn is missing you too 💜
@@kylereese4822bro why even comment this ofc they’ve heard how dangerous it can be, but they’re not going to the peak luckily. Base camp is relatively safe, just a grueling hike.
Brooklyn i really like that you did RUclips video of what you are packing for Everest base camp and Brooklyn&Bailey i really like watching your videos on your RUclips channel. I am really excited for you Brooklyn! Good luck . Yes please do RUclips video of your experience of hiking Mountain Everest.
Funny to see these "What You Need for EBC Trek" done BEFORE actually having been there. Please do a critical re-edit telling what you would not take with you again, and what you were missing. (I have been there 5 times since 1985, about 5 months total)
danggg girlie you have EVERYTHING i’m soo excited for the everest vlog! also i saw on you instagram dakota isn’t doing well praying for him and your trip!! 💕💕💕
So excited for you! Quick little backpacking life hack coming from a fellow petite girly: if you’re not used to wearing a pack like that and hiking in it all day, your hips might get blisters and some bruises! Preventative moleskin is a lifesaver there, especially for the first few days of hiking while you’re getting used to your pack.
I was just thinking while I was in school today that I hope brooklyn and Bailey have a video because I really wanna watch one of their videos😅 and I come home to a video😁
This seems like such a fun trip! I definitely would love to see videos of the trip because I wouldn’t be able to do that trip myself. There’s so much to pack and that could go wrong, I feel like it would be hard for me to not shower at all or sleep much or any of that. I’d rather go to zip lining in New Zealand, go somewhere tropical, or go to Europe. Lol
during the day it's about 10 celsius, I never wore shorts. nighttime is coolldd!! go pee right before you get in your sleeping bag. only needed a warm jacket the day of reaching base camp. buy down booties in namche for nighttime. it's very comfortable hiking during the day and I didn't bundle up except for 2 mornings for less than an hour. I went in November 2016. bring extra hiking socks, but less is more, I didn't need all the extra and I didn't bring much extra. bring iodine tablets to make sure water is safe, it'll look like pee the higher up you go and it's just because of iron, tastes fine. one camelback is plenty, no extra bottles. imodium and pain relief in necessary, I had diarrhea the very last morning before getting back to lukla, apples every night was wonderful! bring toilet paper or else you'll have to buy some there. I slept like a baby every night, I was exhausted and had no problem sleeping, like 10 hrs a night which I never do at home. I only showered in namche, it really doesn't matter otherwise but have to do it before the sun goes down as it's warmed by solar power
This is so cool! I have been watching a bunch of videos about backpacking and hiking. I would love to do this one day. If there are any tips you may give me, I would really appreciate it!:)
Wow. I’m impressed give you a lot of credit. I couldn’t do it. It’s my husband’s dream to hike mount Everest. Good luck. Looks like you got most of what you need. Praying no issues.
Make sure you bring different types of antifungals. With no showering for 11 days, you do not want a yeast infection or ringworm to get out of control.
Awesome video I really like it lot it was cool and you made awesome videos and you are my favorite RUclips and you are best RUclips channel I subscribe to you and all of your friends channel
How fun! I have friends who have done this and/or the Appalachian Trail... Their best recommendation is to break in your shoes before you go!!! Lots of walking! It helps your feet "mold" to the shoes so there arent any tight or uncomfortable spots! Have a FAB time!!!!
That sounds so cool, just imagine the view 😍 Experiencing this with your fam and friends, is worth so much!!! Have fun guys 🎉. And I’m just laughing at how Brooklyn is describing herself looking like a turtle with that backpack, I can’t unsee it now 😂😂😂
Trust me you will not need half of that stuff. My friend just hiked to Everest base camp recently and he said that you definitely better to pack light.
First of all, BIG CONGRATS on the baby! So happy for you two! Secondly? I was wondering if I could ask a few questions. What watch did you end up getting/using? Which sunglasses did you buy? Did you buy the backpack and Camelbak from REI? What camera strap did you and Kamri buy wear?
I love that your channel has turned outdoorsy. You seem like sich a happy and curious bunch exploring new things and taking viewers with you from make up to hiking. But it does look like your are bringing a lot of unnecessary stuff. 😮
13 days if you hike up and back down, right? But you guys got a helicopter back down. Its like 42 or so miles up to base camp. So you didn’t actually hike for 14 days, right?
Also! They’re already midway through the hike right now 😊
She mentioned she most likely will be on her period so she will need multiple pairs of underwear.
I was not expecting this type of content on this channel, but I love it! I’m so invested in this now and really hope the trip goes well and all those participating will make so many memories and have the trip of a lifetime!
Would love a video of you actually packing and how you condense all of those items into your pack! Also have fun!!
she posted a packing video on tiktok yesterday

Yes! We did 2-3 layers in our heels before we set off on a hike
I AM SO EXCITED TO FOLLOW YOU ON THIS JOURNEY, WHAT AN ADVENTURE! ✈️🌎
This was so neat to see what you need to bring! Looking forward to the footage!
YES the toe socks help prevent blisters! as a runner, i use them on long runs (over a couple hours) and so do maaaany ultra marathon runners. they are so weird but can make a big difference

I’m excited for you to do this, but I am very nervous. I would never do it because I’m really afraid of heights.
it would be very interesting to see you fit all of that into that backpack
Good luck Brooklyn ! You are going to do awesome 🩷
The preparation for this trip sounds absolutely insane
Brooklyn is so funny haha
You guys inspire me a lot. I am going to start small and trek short distance for now and aim for everest.
vlog all the trip! it would be amazing to watch
Hi Brooklyn and Bailey tysm for being an amazing and inspiring RUclipsrs! Can u pls do a hide and seek challenge soon after your hike and when I have the time. Bye asa, Bailey, Dakota, and Brooklyn!
Great video - would love to see one on how you prepped physically for the hike - I.e. trading for it, breaking in the boots, etc
OMG i’m SOOO excited for this trip! Can’tt wait to see the vlogs ❤
Brooklyn content on point!
I’ve never been so early!
I'm so excited to see vlogs!! Good luck!🎉 You're gonna smash it! Btw, do you have the name of the watch you're taking on the trip?
Good luck Brooklyn and be safe
I would bring a solar powered charger so that you can charge your phone or electronic devices if you wanted.

“No tummy trouble “ and Dakota currently has food poisoning …
The foreshadowing 😭
Brooklyn your nails are gorgeous! I’ll pray y’all have a safe and amazing trip! 🫶🏻
Love ur videos!! but I feel like I would enjoy them even more if you didn’t have background music going the whole time ur talking, just a suggestion !
OMGG Are you actually coming to nepal omgg
When you have the time can u pls do another hide and seek challenge?
the summit of Everest so dirty now
Base camp is a life goal for me. I don't have delusions of being a "climber" to get beyond that, but that achievement alone is a life goal.
💯 same sentiment for me. Reaching base camp would be my Everest summit
Unfortunately it cost $$$ something like $70,000 + just for the Visa to go to Everest.
Looking forward to seeing the Everest vlog! I’m sure you will have the time of your life.
Bailey, hang in there while Brooklyn is gone. You got this!
I’m sure Brooklyn is missing you too 💜
Missing her lots 💕
@@BrooklynAndBaileyI wonder if you`ve seen the documentaries of deceased climbers om Everest that will remain there for ever....??

you and bailey are so in your look alike era! With your highlights out of sight with your hair back it could be bailey!
Basecamp looks like such a wonderful adventure. I enjoy bike packing so getting to see all the gear you purchased was fun and interesting.
Be sure to hold it over Bailey's head that Brooklyn is the courageous one 😄

Hi Brooklyn! I have a quick question. Is it 13 days up and down. Or 13 days up and 13 days down?

I don’t know how you’re going to fit everything in your pack. Especially because you have a lot of layers and stuff.
