Looks to be a really sloth well balanced handgun. I’d like to own one, but I used up my current stash of cash on a Kimber Aegis Elite Ultra. The wife would skin my hide if I spent 2 K on another side arm🙄

@3:39 I love to see the hammer in slow motion. Very few, almost no one shows the hammer hit the firing pin in slow motion. It moves so fast that you can’t see that it moved.
No lie I walked Into my local cabela's this morning and saw in the gun library a ed Brown 9 mm 1911. Having never heard of it I asked the employee about it and he told me little excerpt. I leave cabelas and go to McDonald's for lynch. I get a notification while eating lunch here about an ed Brown 1911 from Larry Vickers this timing is so weird...
In my experience, S&B are loaded pretty hot compared to Federal or Magtech 115gr range ammo. I had a similar thought when I ran it through my 9mm 1911.
Would someone please explain to me why you would mess with a proven handgun that's been around for over 100 years. I have a Springfield TRP (45acp), Wilson Combat CQB (9mm) and two that I built myself from 100% Nighthawk parts. All have traditional extractors. I have put 1000's and 1000's of rounds through them and never, ever had an extractor problem. So why do some manufactures use an external extractor? I'm not being a troll, I'm just looking for an answer. Thank you, Larry, for the video. I can see why you like the 1911's. After building the two, I learned a whole new appreciation for them. They really are works of art.
Internal extractors require tuning to be reliable. External ones are far more forgiving. If you shoot a box of shells a month or year either is fine. You’re out there blasting few hundred rounds a week or month external better to bet your life on. May be some other fine nuances but that is main difference.
@@russellridge8623 Thanks for the answer. Looking at it that way, it does make sense. I shot 22k rounds last year alone. No problem so far with traditional extractors. You just got to clean the channel out once in a while.
Ed Brown is great stuff. I own two in 45 acp. Their magazines are also as good as anyone’s and far better than most. Larry’s always been Wilson guy. Sure he still is. Another great gun company.
I would like to see L.A.V get his hands on a czech VZ61 skorpion...one if my personal favorite and I'm planning on buying one next time they come in stock from C.S.A
good video as always. very interesting for those of us who are not involved in the military issue. A question: Given your knowledge and the war situation in Ukraine, will there be a video comparing the weapons used in the fighting in the videos seen on social networks?
During the Las Vegas shooting Stephen Paddock supposedly expent 3000+ rounds of ammunition over the course of ten minutes from 27 AR-15's with bumpstocks despite the facts that it would have required him to drop a gun after each 30 round magazine was empty, even though videos from survivors show that it was a nonstop stream of ammunition with a firing rate much higher than a bumpstock is capable of producing from multiple locations that appear to be M240 LMG's. More interesting is the fact that after the FBI took over the investigation, his house somehow burned down with all of the evidence, and photos of the hotel room he shot from only show 50 spent shells. Years later we still have no motivation, and there was strangely no follow up on the biggest mass shooting in US history. Most confusing is that the day after his brother had numerous press interviews where he claimed it made no sense, he was arrested for possessing several hundred terabytes of child porn on a 20 year old computer running Windows 95, at least according to the photos taken by the FBI.
Great to see you up and around doing your thing Larry.
The very best Larry A. Vickers.🎯❗🤘 love the show. keep it coming Sir❗
Good to see you still doing what you love Larry. Hope you and family are well.
another quality solid content there LV, great sound effects, keep up the sterling work bro
Vince gave me a list
Of parts I needed to upgrade my Springfield 1911 all Ed brown hardcore internals. This EB 9mm gives me the fizz!
man it's great to see you back, you're looking strong and healthy. Keep at it, congratulations!
God you're looking great! Lost a lot of weight! Congratulations
There is absolutely nothing sexier than a 1911 in action!!!
Specially in slow motion Vickers style 😃😃😃

Love Ed Brown.

External extractor 1911"s catching on.
Whatever people say the 1911 design is outdated.
Larry Vickers shows how lethal this handgun can be in the right hands.

Krásný kousek! Larry, tvoje videa jsou opravdu perfektní. Velice děkuji za tvou práci. Drž se.
I wish you a quick and complete recovery. How would you compare the Ed Brown EVO-E9 to a competing product from Wilson Combat?

Good video. I remember when I got mine in 2019 it was 1800.
Larry putting in work with a 1911 just verifies his immortality

Is this a different guy from the other Larry ?
Seems to have a pretty stout recoil for a 9mm handgun.

Is it me or does Larry Vickers look like Old Snake from MGS4 now? I actually like his new looks, I can dig it.
LV doesn't blink.

As a lefty you did a great job shooting weak hand! And with that cross eye dominance.
Larry is not left handed. He is right handed but left eye dominant. However, watching him shoot you'd hardly know he favors either hand.
❤❤
Thanks for sharing ur knowledge with us Larry. Your youtube channel is incredible.
he looks old but healthy :(
Like that stereo mic
did you delete some videos?
Sexeh pistol 😍
Looking good Larry, good to see you!
Hey again, Larry Vickers , Vickers Tactical channel, that is the sound what we need to hear and enjoy the brief explanation, LV thanks
are you gonna do the old school xray videos like on the AK and M4 if i recall those were amazing!
Good good good good
Rock on LAV

Watching Larry shoot a gun looks so second nature, kinda like watching a fish swim.
Nice but, why not ramp the barrel. 45 no, 9mm always.
I'm not a big fan of smaller pistols but I do love a 1911 and that's sexy
Nice
Looking good Larry!
Great to see you getting better Mr. Vickers !! Warm regards from Guatemala.
Are you fully recovered ? you are looking good now Larry
It's nice but I'll stick with my SFX9 .
Wish we could get this gun in California.
Good to see you back Larry hope you are feeling better
Man that’s really expensive in todays market
Awesome gun, but $2695? That is A LOT for a 1911 regardless of its quality.
For a reliable top quality 1911, it's pretty reasonable. 1k for a 1911 is kind of entry level. 2k gets you more of what you need. Go on up from there.
Looking Good Larry Looks Like a Good Pistol 💨🔫😀😊🔥
The moustache is looking on point.
Wishing you lots of health, Larry!
Larry rocking the ballistic stache
Now Larry sports a 70s moustache

I'm not sure any 1911 can make it through an unedited video without failing in some way.
@@fatoni698 Fallacy.

I still like the WC EDC-X9 better
we need more shots in super slow mo where you can see the bullet in flight! that is the coolest.
The last thing this channel needs is more slow mo footage. Its literally all they do along with adding 30 snap chat filters and cheesy sleazy music.
