It's kind of hard when you are sparring hard, but the guy might actually be trying to learn southpaw. Better to learn stuff doing light sparring imo though, once you're in fight mode you just do whatever you are programmed to do lol@@MostlyPeacefulNinja
@@Triception True. Good point. And you’re right, if he’s just trying to learn SP, then it wasn’t the best time to do that. Also this is why we gotta be careful judging sparring matches cuz one person could be trying to learn or practice something, while the other is trying to kill him 😅
Taller fighter was doing great until his legs and footwork started getting fatigued. I understand because I am also a tall fighter and if you don't do ring general ship footwork drills and the proper conditioning like the ones that coach Barry Robinson teaches. I know a lot of people are saying you should have used this jab more but trust me if you really understand the science of boxing every punch starts from the ground so if your legs are getting fatigued you're not going to throw your jab the way it's meant to be thrown in homie is just going to walk right through it. This will happen but overall he's young and he had a lot of room to improve and this is what boxing is about. Big ups to both fighters🤝🏿💯👌🏿❤️🏁
Also a tall one, Came here to say something similar. His conditioning overall seemed to hold him back, but It also seemed like the southpaw stance was a bit unnatural for him still. That’s what sparring is for though so 🤷♂️
Lifting weights surprisingly increases muscle endurance. Road work is good for the lungs 🫁 and conditioning. Yet weightlifting does help with muscle endurance and dealing with fatigue.
@@Lkaj71he’s a shorter fighter so shorter fighters usually have an advantage on the inside game and the tall fighter should be keeping his distance because he has reach

Can you guys make a video that shows what you do to train bc I'm in New Zealand and I can't get to your gym so it would be very helpful and nice. Also love the content keep it up❤❤❤
I’m from New Zealand too. How’s it like with your boxing? I’ve been boxing for 3 years, however I’m still an amateur and watch these videos to guide me and help me understand sparring.
Tall guy found his rhythm in that 4th round movement counters and the other guy is just a pressure fighter in the pocket just add some more footwork to close that off and boom don’t allow him to corner you or get stuck in the pocket
He’s actually such a fast and precise fighter but he js gassed and said screw the jab that’s where he messed up, went from picking Martinez apart to get clapped on the inside
if you go "mmm ouse" or "shhhh" that is bad because when you drag out or have two stages to your breath you leave an opportunity to get the wind jammed in you by a body punch😂 but shit that never happened so it works for them.
Sheesh white gloves my top 1 rn on this channel he goin crazy fasho speed, power, endurance, punches in bunches, and knows when to use the philly shell EFFECTIVELY and beautiful footwork 🫱🏾🫲🏽 that kid is going places giving canelo and a mix of jaron ennis footwork 🥶
Picking him apart? Looks like white was testing the waters, then turned up the pressure in the next round. Same thing Benavidez about to do to Andrade.
@@onestepatatime0868 thats funny. Everytime a long range boxer gets out worked by a pressure fighter, people like you blame it on them gassing out. Stop it, casual.
They both solid competitors. Id like to see them compete with the same headgear tho. Other guy has open face amateur competition headgear and the mexican dude got a whole facesaver. Always thought that was a big advantage in sparring.
Lmao. Tall got sucked into the other dude's game plan and said "fk the jab"
100%, he's definitely newer than the other guy too. Can tell by the movement and general awareness.
just rewatched, I feel like the taller guy isn't natural southpaw, after he switched to orthodox, he was landing way more jabs
@@Triception Good point. I don’t know why he was fighting Southpaw

pressure fighters are hard to deal with, but if you're from texas or california you're gonna run into that style!

How come that style comes from those states ? (From cali and personally really love Soviet style, am also Mexican)

More to come my friend. Glad you enjoyed it
Man that guy with white gloves is good
Footwork on point
He rlly is
pro tactics after the 1st round
That might just be lomachenko
He was getting picked until other fighter gassed
White gloves fought a taller fighter who’s a southpaw at that and made his opponent play his game on the inside. I learned a lot watching this
Can you explain how he made him play his game, like what lead to that specifically

That kind of pressure is daunting, you can't say your feet and the punches just keep coming
Great gym definitely hitting it up this summer.
love these videos i learn so much
Glad we can all help!
Round 2 was beautiful
both did a great job! Bravo
Appreciate the support!
Brother from 5:55 to 6:04 oh my god… homie was playing with him like it’s fucking recess holy shit 😂
I love how you added the Ippo pic in the thumbnail. Nice touch bro🤝🏿

3:34 Damn .. hard jab to the body replied by a hard left hook 😤
Oof ! White gloves was cooking from the intro 🔥
Carlos is a monster bro
Straight up groin shot @ 0:50

the black glove guy needs to jab way more
full winning set damn my dream
3:57 should have kept red helmet on the ropes goddamit 😂
tall guy got gun shy after the second round
Great work
the no. of uppercuts landed.. *********
He’s just standing tall on the inside . I’m sure he learned from this sparring session.
white gloves kno how ta work his angles good af
lil dude aint sparring hes in a fight 💀💀
Do not delete this! So much to study
I would never!
White gloves kinda gives me Lomachenko vibes 👌🏻
Nah. Much more like bam rodriguez. Its standard mexican american style. Solid fundamentals and good pivots/angles.
White gloves are way larger harder to land a punch on glove size make big difference not only heavier punches as well but good spar
I like the tall dudes style, could tighten up the defense a little, but very nice style
Agreed! I’m going to work with him some more when I get back to Texas
@@OfficialParallel8 good work salute 🫡⛽️🔥
This video is good
Thank you for the support!
It's rare but it's wise if taller fighters bend there knees if they happen to be on the inside, ideal to keep distance but that's alot of stamina.
nice
Tall fighter should’ve kept his distance but iknow ts tuff when u winded
On god. Carlos stays in your face constantly!
Замечательный бокс!
Al tipo más alto se le fueron las piernas, el otro es una máquina litetal, buen sparring!
How many Oz of glove they wearing
