Saying “there’s nothing to be depressed about” to someone who’s going through depression is triggering. I’ve been dealing with it for years alone and it’s so tough. Some days are easier than others but we are never OK. We just learn how to hide it more and more. Alo, you’re so strong to say that not only to Benny but on camera. Hope more people talk about it more. All my friends left me alone when I needed them most. Benny please change your ways. I’m happy you’re living ur best life but make sure ur partner is good too.

The real problem is that alo has never really found who she really is as a person . She went from broken relationship to another so fast , and now has to figure out this mother life so quick . in all reality she never gave her self time to self heal from who she needs to be In This world . She can still do that in a relationship but needs to work in silence and do things she loves and makes HER a better person, and a better mother , with a great support system . The more she calls out her depresión the more it will follow her, we understand she is depress now it’s time to address it in silence with in your own battles and demons.

Very true!! All my life ppl always said that I always appeared happy and I did but until I lost myself in the darkness and hit rock bottom... There is a saying that goes that one spends their whole life fake smiling to the point you don't even know when you are actually smiling! But it does get better for the first time I can say these last 2 years i been actually happy ❤️ it doesn't just go away!
I never realized that until this video. I was watching it and a couple things stood out as red flags. When she said “I told you I had a lot of mental health issues” also when they were discussing their finances. There was definitely a disconnect. Also, it is wise that Benny wants to invest in their own individual real estate to set himself up financially no matter what.
I agree that she wants to be understood. Also like when Benny jokes about her and she laughs I feels like it get to her sometimes but she just plays it off .Another thing in other videos Benny always seems to have more of a connection with his friends but idk I can be wrong .

Depression can occur for many reasons, but to make this short, Alo should find a good hobby to keep her mind up. Personally I feel like she likes to dance. Also she needs to stop using drugs,( alcohol makes you depressed )

Hearing him say “you have nothing to be depressed about” is one of the worst things you can tell your partner that is very open about their depression… it’s so invalidating to their raw horrible emotions. She’s right, regardless of how you live or what you have that doesn’t help a mind that is battling with themselves. I hope she is seeking therapy. It’s done wonders for me and took some time. I hope she’s honest about her relationship and how he’s not understanding. I’m not saying it’s his job to make her happy, but as a partner you should be supportive and validate feelings that are mentally exhausting. That’s what any support system should do. He should attend therapy sessions with her as well. So he can learn to be a more supportive partner.

“I’m trying to changer her perspective” no, acknowledge it, help her understand it, let her feel and just listen. Shed some light without disregarding her depression. “You just don’t get it” is really what I wanted to yell at him through the screen to. It’s easier said than done, and she needs a partner who can make her feelings valid instead of trying to change them. It’s so heartbreaking to see this.
I’ve been saying this!!! Benny was such a sweetheart before he got her. His behavior in all these videos compared to how sweet he was with her in the beginning is disappointing. She deserves so much.

Nothing irks more than a person saying “what is there to be depressed about” let alone from your own partner. I felt here 100% when she said “you don’t get it” that means this whole time he hasn’t been trying to understand why she feels like that. Men don’t understand how fragile we become after a child too sometimes we don’t get the rainbow and butterflies we get depression and/or anxiety 10x harder than already dealing with it in the regular bases. He got the baddie, they had the baby and now it’s like he doesn’t look interested on trying to understand. The hardest part is after the child is born how you attend to your partner, not gifts not the way you live but emotionally! Benny I hope you read this: Alo’s depression has nothing to do with her outlook on life. A person can be humble and grateful for all they have in life. They can be the most positive person in the world and still suffer with depression. It’s a chemical imbalance. The best advice I can give you is just to love and support Alo. This was a weird video. It’s pretty obvious Benny doesn’t want to commit. Looking back at how they started, Alondra had just left Trey and didn’t give herself time to heal. She’s beautiful and Benny was super into the chase, he looked like a puppy trying to get a treat. Once he won her, she became all in and he became uninterested. Benny gotta get it together and Alondra has got to do the work to heal herself. I wish them both the best! They have a beautiful family to fight for.

The last part made me sad. I wanna give Alo the biggest hug. The friend ghosting is the worse, you want to speak to someone but don’t want to inconvenience their life so you think staying quiet is the best thing to do eventually pushing everyone away. Mmmmm thing like body dysmenorrhea, lack of sleep, drop in hormone levels, physical change, emotional change, adjusting to the baby, watching friends go out, fear of being a bad mom can all be factors of depression. Educate yourself Benny! Go to couples therapy to understand her better.

This is what rushing looks like. He rushed to be in a relationship with her- and instead of taking the time to truly get to know each other and see if they could be in it for the long haul they rushed to have a family. So much changes when you have a child. Hopefully Benny will open up and try and help- or get her the help she needs and Alo can get the emotional support she is longing for. Hope they can work it out but they both seem unhappy.
Definitely spot on about rushing … the fact they don’t even know each other’s credit score & didn’t even know whether they had credit cards? That stuff is pretty important when having a family together. I hope they both can find a great family counselor to help them with these challenges. Money can’t buy happiness but it can pay for a good counselor/therapist!

My partner is the same about my depression and anxiety, he has that same mindset like benny. Let me tell you, it sucks when your partner who's supposed to love and support you doesn't take it seriously. Your mental health matters.. take care of yourself. It's important when you have a child to take care off, my kids are the reason why I get up everyday and just fight everyday to be here for them.

Been thru your situation best advice girl start a relationship with God. If you don't have a relationship with God you will always feel that way also change the way you eat eat healthy your body needs alot of minerals that help your brain 🧠 function right trust me. Been and still going through it right now. Just the other day my husband said in a condescending way, "oh, I can't say some things because its affects you." Meaning somethings trigger me but my triggers annoy him. He's just like, "get over it." Its sucks to the core not to have an understanding and supportive partner. Also, what they dont realize is, the love we had for them turns into resentment and the resentment eventually turns into hate.

I have anxiety and it took me while to admit and accept it. Having anxiety also comes with depression every once in awhile. I try to sometimes do what Benny does and tell myself. “ I have an amazing partner, 3 beautiful girls, a great job (nurse) and home what is there to be sad about” it doesn’t help honestly but prayer and just talking to God helps relax me.

I never realized that until this video. I was watching it and a couple things stood out as red flags. When she said “I told you I had a lot of mental health issues” also when they were discussing their finances. There was definitely a disconnect. From someone that has anxiety and deals with depression it’s hard but we got this. I have so much past trauma that it’s hard to move on and deal with. At a point in my life I had hardly anything to eat while I was pregnant and now thank god I’m able to provide for my kids and myself. But I have the same issue with my husband because he thinks I should be able to put my past trauma behind me and feel better but depression is horrible

I don’t watch them often but I just remember him being the sweetest with her & doing everything to win her over. But I guess once he got her and locked her in with a baby, he’s like uninterested. I feel like she just wants to take the next steps in their relationship since they do have a child together but he’s not willing.

I feel like she may know things they don’t openly talk about but then again PPD can hit even a year after baby is born and yes they both go out together but I feel like she is also feeling the weight of being a mother and having to do a lot of things on her own with the baby and seeing he’s not as hands on as she is to the point where they are disconnecting a bit. As someone who suffers from Mental health I get where she is coming from. I also get how hard it can be on a partner to adjust from seeing life so brightly to having to deal with mental breakdowns. They are still very brand new. Me and my husband had ups and downs and misunderstandings in the beginning, they will learn to communicate better. You got to remember they are in spotlight and we are seeing snippits of how they interact not every relationship is perfect but you learn to love and listen.

Some advice for Benny-when a woman or significant other tells you “you don’t get it” that can be a cry for help and the only thing your partner wants is for you to validate her feelings and actually listen to her more often. Also, it would be a great idea to always ask your partner on a daily basis “how are you doing/feeling or how was your day?” Trust me when both partners ask or start to check in with each other your connection increases as well as the love. Everyone copes with their mental health in a different way and I am glad Benny that you figured out what coping skills work best for you, but how about you introduce your girl to some of your coping skills or you both try new ones together. Alondra, it’s ok to say you have been going through it because there’s always going to be good and bad days, so it’s ok to ask for that unconditional support from your partner or loved one because it is needed, appreciated, and can make our worse/bad days much better. Much love for you both!

This makes me so sad, I see myself in her with my first pregnancy. PPD is REAL and will EAT you especially when you don’t have supportive people around you. My boyfriend was the same way not taking my feeling serious saying “it was in my head and I need to get over it” those words stuck with me TO THIS DAY and it still hurts since then I didn’t tell him shit about my depression.. Well we had another baby and THANK GOD idk what made him realize that ppd is real and it’s a silent killer for a lot of women. He’s been way more supportive and it has made such a difference. Benny says Alo is his “dream girl” then my guy you better take care of her as such! Before it’s too late. Having a baby changes a woman not just physically but MENTALLY! I wish I could hug her 😔❤️

The dads that get it, get it. As a mother of an 18 month old, let me just say, you’re not alone. We all experience PPD differently and it doesn’t always hit right away but when it does.. whew . Taking care of your mental health is difficult when caring for a child, especially if it’s your first because you’re learning as you go. Benny clearly doesn’t understand what you’re going through because he didn’t carry/delivery the baby and his body didn’t go through the drastic changes. Maybe having a real heart to heart convo about what it’s like for you can help him change his mentality and help him help you ! You’re doing great. And it’s ok to not be ok

Alo, YES! BE HONEST WITH YOUR FRIENDS. Even if it's a week later. A few months later. The real ones will do what they can to help you come out of your slump. And speak to a therapist if that helps! To get to the root of the problem. Looking for validation from your partner is not going to help, when they do not GET IT. Girl. We can see it in your facial expressions that you feel alone when it comes these emotions. It's a sense of awkwardness just to show your "partner" you're ok, because you don't want to stir up something.

Every relationship gets tense sometimes. I’ve caught myself being like this a few times too and I’m glad it’s not recorded bc I wouldn’t want to hear myself ever again like that. Bennys reasons to not wanting to buy the house are VALID reasons. Never bite the bullet just bc you liked something. Keep your options open, bc buying a home is a HUGE commitment and like Benny said, they have to make sure there’s good schools for baby Benny. Investing is smart, can’t just depend on one income. Take your time, there’s no rush. With the mental health, try educating Benny on mental health so he can better understand. It’s hard sometimes for a guy to understand, but once you educate them on how YOU feel and how it affects YOU they learn to HELP YOU. My bf never understood, but once I educated him he learned how to cope with me and I appreciate him for that. Be patient, not everyone is the same! But I love you guys and best of luck 🫶🏻🥰

Once I educated my dad he has had sympathy and understanding but most of all supported me even more knowing about my mental health issues & my day to day struggles at work/personal life. Mental health is not something to take easy. It’s something that you can’t explain until it happens to you. You don’t have to be “good” to not have it. @@Nat-tz9zj Yes, but when he says things like “you live a comfortable life, what do you have to be depressed about?”, that’s invalidating her feelings. Living comfortably doesn’t magically heal you from depression.
It’s hard for someone who’s never been depressed to understand I remember when I was depressed no one around me understood had to battle it in my own 🙏🏽let’s pray she gets better soon ❤️
@@karyc103 I get that, she herself says doesn’t know what she’s depressed about. Which is Benny probably tried to make her feel better by saying why are u sad you have what you need & a beautiful baby boy.
As a first time mom battling depression , I know it’s hard and even harder when your partner isn’t a good support.. He doesn’t know what your going through he’s always out and about (per his social media posts). He has no right to diminish how you feel because he has no idea what it’s like being home taking care of a new born, his body didn’t change, he didn’t go through hormonal changes, and he damn well didn’t push a whole baby out so his opinion on depression is irrelevant , I’m definitely unfollowing Benny, what a let down..
