I don't get this board. Why would you spend 60 mil on a player you can't even register? Even in the summer it was only possible because Christensen was out injured and we used that salary cap. The club is being ran by a bunch of clowns ever since alemany left

What winning Supercup will bring the club other than pocket money.
This club prioritizes small trophies like Copa del ray and Super Cup.
Drop this mediocre mentality and be like RM focus on La liga and UCL.
Don't play Lamine Super Cup even one minute is useless. it's not worth it.
Why are they overloading their big players for insignificant trophies.

I've said it a million times: in a defensive team where there is no need to cover a lot of space behind and be able to play out from the back or pass, Lenglet is a really solid defender. He's just not right for anything else. Atletico should buy him and pay accordingly, nothing less.

Hello Jamie, I'm Richmond from Ghana and I have so much on my chest to let out, many of which might not be about this uploaded video. I will watch it later today. First of all I can't stress it enough how much addicted I am to your videos. I'm so addicted that I get really crushed on days of no upload, forgetting that you're a human too. I really really love them, they really make my day. So bad I don't have the financial capability to donate to this channel, and the podcasts, boy I'm really enjoying them. Though there are no visuals, I will any day take them over a videoless day.
Now about my hardcore pressing Barcelona topics. Please please make a video about them.
First, I don't think FC Barcelona has any Idea at all how much PAIN, disappointments and severe emotional crushing they really make me feel whenever they're underperforming. One of the worst things that have happened to me is perhaps being an emotional person. I find it so difficult to shake off those bad feelings, players are not playing well, the manager is kinda costing us a little bit by not giving some players deserving chances, the board making ridiculous signings(decisions) etc. It really eats me up. However, I still love Barcelona so much that I can't process the thoughts of joining another club, let alone Real Madrid. My mind kinda proposes this idea a lot of time.
Also, could you enlighten me on how player registrations are done in laliga, because why is Barcelona struggling so much with it?
Moreover, and this one is very important, do you think Hansi Flick deserves a certain degree of 'blame' for the downfall of the team and the over reliance on Lamine Yamal? Because yes the players are really at fault for not finishing but do you feel like Hansi did not make serious attempt to try out a replacement for Lamine and Lewandoski to ease the burden? Pau Victor can play at the right and as a striker right, so why wouldn't Hansi be resting Lamine and Robert quite often by substituting in Pau? And let's not forget that so many games of Lamine Yamal with very fewer goals can taunt the legacy of the boy, critics can say, " football is a numbers game, but oh he is an attacker but he's scored so fewer goals despite playing immense number of games."
When games are catching up with a person, sharpness can decline a bit.
Number two, do you think Xavi Hernandez did a better job at recruiting La Masia players than Hansi? We've heard rumors of Dani Rodriguez being sensational but we haven't seen or heard any breakthrough to provide support. Sure Xavi did that in his second season, but If something has proven to work, why should it take too long before we try it again?
Number 3, this is about transfers, am I the only one who really loves Ansu Fati and would do anything for him to stay and succeed at Barcelona? I will keep Ansu Fati as a back up for Raphinha and keep giving him minutes and immense motivation, Barca shouldn't forget how the immense patience of Real Madrid turned Benzema and Vini into monsters.
Man, I will really keep Christensen at the club as a centerback and a cover for Cassado, we're kinda over relying on him too.
About Sane, I'm kinda loving to see him at Barca already, but if we have to wait till summer to bring him for free, then who comes in as a Lamine Yamal's backup? And does he still have the quality, or will it seem like he's coming to wine down at Barca after spending his youthful and best days at a different club?
And about Frenkie, I love the idea of pressuring him with less game time, and my beloved Pablo Torre should be occupying that advance role more often. However, if Barca's pressuring idea doesn't work, then coming the next opportunity, Barca should sell Frenkie for close to 50 million, to free up space. To me, what the guy is doing seems unprofessional.
Finally, is Barcelona thinking of backups for our full backs this January towards the second half of the season? Squad depth is what will determine the rest of our season!!! Look at Liverpool.

I think it's easy to criticise Laporta and Co but we should look at the big picture and long term progress. Taking over the mess from the previous board was not easy and the club have to manage being competitive and financially prudent. Not every decision will be perfect but if you look at the reality there is a lot of progress made. Just compare Manchester United where the spiral is almost unstoppable. Barca have managed to be competitive. They have reduced the salary bill. Kept the club financially afloat and managed the stadium development. Managed to get much bigger sponsorship deals etc. So yes it's difficult but it takes time to get such a big club back on track but the progress is clear to see if you have any business acumen. Risk have to be taken and yes buying and registering Olmo was a risk but if anything it was a calculated risk.
Finally someone sensible who understands the club's situation
i genuinely dont have problems with the current board. I think they are trying to do right thing and have the interests of the club above everything.
However what completely baffles me is that we still arent learning from our previous mistakes. Everytime we try to make a sale or a buy, we somehow shoot ourselves on the foot even when we had the advantage going into the deal.
And even if we can buy someone, our registration issues arent addressed at all

You are wrong - when Laporta came the coach was Koeman and we had some players, pretty average and a lot of kids. Laporta started to spend a lot of money on transfers - Lewa, Kounde, Raphinha, Ferran Torres plus free players with big wages - Kessie, Alonso, Christensen, Gundogan, Inigo Martinez. All those players are signed by Laporta, he paid the transfer fees and gave them big salaries, bigger then the previous clubs.
On top of that he sold assets, cutting the future income only for those transfers.
How do you expect to pay the debt when you keep wasting money? How do you justify selling the future? Now he is trying to sell the seats in Nou Camp to pay Dani Olmo - what will we do in 1-2-3 years when we open Nou Camp and we already spent that money? Plus, it's obvious he is selling them cheap cause it's in advance and to a company that will then sell them to whoever wants to buy - so a bulk pricing.
And you are still blaming the past, right?

Even if manage to somehow register Olmo and Victor, this is beyond embarrassing for the club and the board. There was a reason why Nico rejected joining in the summer. There just isn’t a normal day at this club, and Laporta and Co. are definitely to be blamed for some part of it. Won’t be surprised if players reject joining us in the summer again.

I'm confused as to why we have until Dec 31st to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. January is a transfer window and clubs will sign players and have to register them. Cant we still register them in January?
His contract with Barca has a clouse that allows him to sign for free for another client if he is not registered by midnight Dec 31st. I think it was inserted there to give him ample time to chose a new club and negotiate with them during the whole month of January if Barca can't manage to register him by that deadline time.
you have to negotiate with Olmo like a free player and he agrees to a new contract sure, but starting tomorrow he is free.

The problem is LaPorta is a lawyer and he often uses legal maneuvers to get players signed based on technicalities instead of the standard rules which is too much of a gamble.
