I really loved this one. All of his animated ones are nearly as good as his live performance ones. He has a NEW one dropping on his birthday, March 29th. I just saw an Instagram, where he said that he was biased but thought that it was truly an anthem. I can't wait. I'm sure that it will be wonderful and just blow up. Thank you so much for this. Humble ft. Eden Nash is probably the most upbeat and radio friendly Ren song. One of my favorites right now. Has a big time Bob Marley/Rihanna duet vibe.

I think I've seen most of them, but probably missed something, not sure if you covered the Trilogy Tales (full version) When reactors start going through Ren's catalog and each song is a new discovery, I just keep thinking, wait till you hear the next one. To me it just gets better and better - I think it's because he is a poet and like you said he has a very unique sound to his music and voice and he speaks about things that strikes a cord with so many people. All his animated ones are great - Diazepam, Everybody Drops, Crucify Your Culture. Also, Ocean, Love Music 2,3, Humble, Penitence, etc, etc. Like someone said, haven't found a bad song yet.

I think the instrument is, in fact, a toy piano. A few weeks ago I watched an interview done in his apartment and I noticed a particular brand of toy piano that I’ve been told by a piano playing friend says is worth the price because of its actually playable in a grown up way according to a piano playing friend. I’d thought it was pricey because it was in a fancy toy shop and imported from Germany but she said oh, no it’s because Blah blah piano facts. Anyway I thought it was an odd thing in an apartment full of young men although given the number of guitars strewn about and a full size piano, maybe not. And now I’ve heard this song it makes sense it was there.

Has he had vocal training? He has a college degree (more like a US community college 2 year certificate I think) in performance arts. That didn’t have to include singing training but it could have.
If you think this is already different, then you must check out Crutch ft Bibi (Ren recently mentioned this song as his most favourite from the first album), then take a turn to Oh my woman (under The Big Push title but vocally it’s all about Ren) His versatile when it comes to singing is unbelievable And one more thing, I dont know if this is it or not but when he talked about counting the waves, he said there’re 108 reasons to escape. In Japanese culture, they said there’re 108 evil desires that people have to suffer on earth. Ren used Japanese materials in some of his song and I don’t think he chose the number randomly so I suppose it might be it, just want to point it out😅

Ren's mother's a singing teacher, so I'm sure he got some training either directly or indirectly.
Other brilliant animated one,s are "Everbody drops"- "diazepam" ..
