Democrats have historically often crossed over and voted for a Republican, so why is it so earth-shattering that the reverse should happen. Thank goodness there are brave and thoughtful Republicans who are publicly announcing that they are voting for a Democrat in order to not only save the country from despotism, but to also try to save their own party. As an Independent who has voted for Reps and Dems (never Trump) for President since first voting in 1980, I look forward to a day where I have a rationale viable Republican as an options for my vote.
