What A Wonderful Loc Journey! It was interesting to see the many stages that your hair actually went through! Often times we are fascinated with the look of the outcome & don't realize the process of how it got there! You are Absolutely GORGEOUS! ...and to think you did them yourself, WOW! I have wanted locs for a while now, this has really inspired me! Thanks for sharing 😍
❤❤i got my two strand locs last week and I’ve been nervous about it because hearing others say that’s not the way to start but your journey has shown me otherwise. Thank you your locs are beautiful
I have thinking for MONTHS if I wanted to loc my hair and u helped me come to my decision…I took everything u said into consideration and took that step today
Beautiful. You're giving me hope. Note to self "Trust the process trust the process" lol and be patient. I'm 3 months in. Oh and the music was bomb. Nice mix with watching the video. ❤️
Thank you for sharing your journey in this video. This was the BEST VIDEO IVE SEEN IN THE PAST MONTH! Just started my journey March 17th with a two strand twist and this encouraged me so much! Mines look just like your beginning stage. Yours are the bomb now! 🏆 So again I say thank You I have something to look forward to. 💕
Thk U for sharing your journey and giving us visual too see the beginning and phases…Too many jus sho the pretty pictures and nothing else, reason why so many have difficulty during “ugly phase” as we call it 🤷🏾♀️ but it’s actual beautiful to see transformation up close and personal.. I my will never say “ugly stage” anymore 😊. Embrace all the stages you’re going thru and trust the process end results after a year you’ll ❤ it.. You embrace every avenue your hair transformed into 👏🏾👏🏾🥰
I think today is going to be the day I start mine. I thought long and hard about it, plus I’m surrounded by a lot of people (family and friends) that have locs☺️. I’m excited!
Your hair is so beautiful and inspiring I just started my two strand loc journey on today, I'm excited and thank you for sharing your journey with us ❤️
Love the content! This is my fourth time starting my locs lol had my first set for 12 years and cut for a change and reattached and didn’t like the reattachmenr so starting over again with 3c hair 😵💫 going to do double strand instead of coils. Love your growth! They look amazing on you!
Thank you for the visuals! I only wish you had mentioned in each part what month you were in. I’m a newbie, just started with a 2 strand like 3 days ago and I would’ve loved to know at what stage you were at in correspondence to the amount of months you were.
Thank you! I have 68 locs, and one thing I would do differently is not spend so much time overanalyzing how and what I wanted my locs to look like lol.
I love you video and loc journey. I gave in and will be starting my loc journey on 6/16/22. You wear them well and i will begin my new adventure. Can u please let me know you the name of the music track that is playing. I absolutely love it. You make locs locs look so fun and easy to maintain.
Beautiful!!! Unfortunately I had to comb mine out after a year and a half due to me having a hair transplant. I miss mine so much, I’m thinking about installing them again next year.
Hello I’m just starting my locs and my hair is like yours all the videos I’ve seen this is the only one I can relate to I’m so glad I found one thank you mines are thin I hope they thicken up love your locs
Hey! I’m 10 months in and was wondering when you retwist do you palm roll the entirety of the loc or are you at a point where you can just retwist the root only?
Ok it would’ve been nice if we could know the time frames on these like are these weekly, monthly, yearly, daily what? They look nice I always wear my hair this way me personally mine could look like the first one for 2 weeks and then like the I guess that was the 3 or 4th time you showed not sure since we don’t have any months listed on the video.
You can use a crochet needle to help gather the hair on the twists that are unravelling. But honestly as time goes by and with regular retwists/maintenance, the twists will train themselves to stop unravelling.
Hey I was wondering how often do you wash your hair? And after washing do you retwist it immediately or how do you know when to wash and when to retwist?
I wash every 2-3 weeks and retwist every 6 weeks. I actually posted some updated maintenance videos, I recommend checking out my recent uploads. Thanks for watching!
Definitely not a dumb question. It doesn't matter which way you twist when you start, however you'll just have to make sure you continue to twist the same direction in the future when you retwist. If that makes sense. A lot of people usually twist to the right/clockwise, which is what I also do.
Also I don’t think I seen you use any product to loc them I saw you use some oil but I’m sure that’s just for your scalp did you use anything or you just twisted them? I’ll probably never know since this is old but hey I hope I can get an answer nobody ever replies on yt.
I didn’t really experience dry locs during my starter locs phase, but I did have a dry scalp. And you’re starter locs shouldn’t be thinning, however if you have a finer density of hair along your hairline, your locs will appear smaller in those areas opposed to the higher density areas. My hairline is a finer density, so I ended up combining a few locs along my hairline so they would look thicker. I hope that answers your questions.
I noticed a noticeable difference around month 5, however it took about a full year for them to completely loc. And even after the 1 year mark, my hair was still changing & shrinking.
If understanding the assignment was a person! This is a true visual loc journey. No talking just what we really want to see the progress. Thank you!!!
💯💯

Hello I’m just starting my locs and my hair is like yours all the videos I’ve seen this is the only one I can relate to I’m so glad I found one thank you mines are thin I hope they thicken up love your locs
What did you put in your hair when you started your locs to twist them?
Loved seeing the progression. Beautiful video ✨💛🌻
what is the song @ 9:32
I’d love to know too
Do you put any product in on the first twist?when you began any product to keep the twist? Or nah
Hey! I’m 10 months in and was wondering when you retwist do you palm roll the entirety of the loc or are you at a point where you can just retwist the root only?
For the most part I can just retwist the root of my hair, but there are some locs that I have to palm roll entirely
Check out my “Loc Journey Playlist” in the description box, I did monthly updates for the first year of my journey
That’s encouraging ❤❤ but next time date them or tell us how many months for each video so we can understand the process better

Love your Loc . I’m 8 months in . How often do you wash your loc?
I wash about every 2-3 weeks
Love your hair it's cute I wanna start mines soon.❤
Heyy. When you started with the 2 strand twist did u interlock them ? And also when you washed yur hair did u have to retwist yur hair every time ?
Cuteee imma a year and two months loc’d
Should've put dates 🥺🥺🥺 amazing either way
what did you do about the ones that were unraveling ? i’m having a problem with my twists unraveling & having to redo the whole thing
You can use a crochet needle to help gather the hair on the twists that are unravelling. But honestly as time goes by and with regular retwists/maintenance, the twists will train themselves to stop unravelling.
Beautiful!

Love the video, the hair progression, the pics 😍😍 i just started mine today & im soo excitedddd 🖤🖤🖤 ✨7/30/22✨
This may be a dumb question. But does it matter which way you start twisting two strand starter loc?

👀 just like the texture of my hair … I need patience 6 weeks in

Gorgeous hair. 🖤🥰
Thank you!!
Were you twisting your hair yourself for the whole year?
Yes, I’ve only been to a loctician once
I'm glad I found your video I was going to pay someone today to start my journey and decided to do it myself so happy. Thank you.
What were you spraying your with? What were you using to twist and how often were you twisting? Hahaha I want the whole book
Did you start your own locs
Did you experience dry/thin looking locs around your hairline? Idk if this is normal or not for starter (2 strand) loc’s
@@SharmelLynnette Yes that’s exactly what I mean, along my hairline my loc’s are smaller! Thank you for answering my question 💗
How many months did it take for the hair to start to loc ?
I noticed a noticeable difference around month 5, however it took about a full year for them to completely loc. And even after the 1 year mark, my hair was still changing & shrinking.
Love the music ❤
Seeing yours I think I should do mines over
How soon after starting them did you do your first retwist?
Hi, I think I waited about 6 weeks
Love that red color on you!! What red is that 😍
Thank you! It was Adore - Crimson & Wild Cherry. I have a full video about it in my Loc playlist.
Thanks for sharing!
How many locs do you have?
I have 68 locs
When to get it rewist
I retwist about every 6 weeks
Yaaaaaas
