The TED20 is still an excellent bit of kit for topping, chain harrowing and generally shifting stuff with a link box. Used these in the 1960’s and impressive how you can buy every spare you will ever need today. Do you make TVO for your tractor, I still have the permit to do it somewhere.
We sold the last TED20 last year, had it since 1960 and sorry to see it go really. Harry Ferguson was a brilliant engineer and the T20 is more complicated than it looks, you never realize that as it just keeps on going. I also watch the RUclips output of Lance on Bundy Bear Sheds and that chap really knows most things about them , long time field service engineer near Brisbane. Are you thinking of putting new valve seats in the head at some point so it will run on unleaded no problem? We did find the 35 3 cylinder to be the absolute best, all the well proven design of the T20 but with that bomb proof 3.142 engine, H/L gearbox and live drive PTO. A good 35X seems to be making over £5k now and worth every penny. I did run a 4ft Teagle topper on a T20, perfect size really but your 5ft Fleming is good but guess you could do with some front weights. Ran a 6ft Major topper on a 135 and that certainly needed front weights but all had plenty of power to run them. The Teagle dealer told me I needed an over-run unit on the PTO drive shaft, never got one and cannot remember why they reckoned it was necessary. Take care and well done for keeping those Fergusons working. As he hailed from N Ireland, Belfast Airport (Geerge Best International) should be renamed "Harry Ferguson International", the man that replaced the horse on farms and made life a lot easier, safer and many times more efficient for farmers worldwide, his 3 point linkage still current on every tractor built from then until now. Kind regards Stew
@@stewedwards3122 yes we love the little tractor and it has pleanty of power to run the topper but your right it could do with some weight on the front. Harry Ferguson was a genius and it’s amazing that a design from the 30s is still being used today
We cut some really thick grass with it a couple of years ago it was probably getting on for 2ft tall as well it handled it fine just need a few extra revs in places but thinks you could probably go a bit longer Than that
@@EoineyMTX125 the person we bought it off had it on a super dexta and said it was fine on that very high quality products and they do a great job and can tackle some proper thick stuff
I love you .your work
Top class my Man💪😎☀️
