great video ... thank you so much.
the most I like this video is slow down - it demonstrate the knot very clear. I don't have to change the youtube speed to watch over and over

Looks simple enough, then all my RUclips training goes out the window when it's time to apply it in action 😂

I think the only way is to practice over and over again. And then do it again a month later

Number 4 is my favorite. I use it all the time.

Strongest knot is typically the one where the line goes directly to the load and not kinked through the knot. #2 and #5 demonstrate this. Given #2 comes open the easiest, that would be my choice. My opinion only.

#2 was a Clove Hitch, essentially.

#5 is good. However, avoid a slip ending on an important knot (e.g., on a trailer hitch). The ability to undue a knot with one yank on an important load is unwise. There are plenty of great knots that you can tie without a slip and are easy to untie in a few seconds. Other examples include the Anchor Hitch (unslipped), the Round Turn and Two Half Hitches, the Gnat Hitch, the Backhand Hitch, the Cow Hitch secured by a Bowline, the Cow Hitch secured by a Double Dragon, etc.

I am going to keep pieces of different coloured 3/8" rope at my desk to actually do these!

Instead of piano music I wish there was a narrator explaining the pros and cons of each. I just want the simplest knot that won't come loose by pulling the other end, but also quick releases by pulling a loop on the tied end. It looks like the first one does the job? What are the advantages to the more complex ones? What is the simplest quick release knot that won't slip when tethering a load or animal?

At least the first 3 of these look like they would be extremely difficult to untie after applying a heavy lead. A backhand hitch is easier to tie than most of these and is a great knot for heavy loading.

Except for 5, he shows the untying of each of the others. Easy peasy.

That was a master class on what must be near impossible to remember when crunch comes to shove. I used to rope and sheet my loads down on the lorry for a living. Cool vid.

После хорошей нагрузки легко развяжется только 1 и 4 узел. Остальные придется резать или иметь с собой свайку для развязывания узлов.

My guess is that many of theese will be tricky to undo after heavy load, and can be tricky to remember. I use my own, and it is gets loose each time and it can never get stuck!

I have a question: did you try to untie these knots after a significant load? I think you didn't. :)
And one warning: please, never (once again - NEVER!) use the knot #4 for a car towing! It is not reliable for this purpose.
Anyway thank you for your efforts to share helpful information.
