I cried the first time I heard this track... It really hit home. Being the son of a Geordie. Being the grandson of a Geordie. It's just different. It's important.
I’m an American and would’ve done anything to see this gig. I know it meant the world to that community. Right after Newcastles best season in many young peoples lifetime!
@@Stephentoutdoors North shields is on the east coast, Gateshead it to the east of Newcastle across the river, get a map, was actually a joke now a geography lesson
One of the greatest privileges of my life to go to both nights of something my home town hasn’t seen in a long time if ever! Two nights I’ll never forget right at the front of that crowd it always makes emotional.
Absolute respect to him , started at buskers nights set up by his brother and kicked on from there , done himself his family and friends and the whole region proud! I've been in his local in North shields and they have his brit awards as beer taps , class that like lol
One of the most amazing shows I’ve ever been to. I can’t find words to describe it other than to compare it to The Stones, Springsteen and Queen at the same venue in the 80s. Just magical, thanks for the memories young fella.
It's all about opinions mate but best from last 30 years a bit far like , I would say last 10 years at least , possibly the best ever from this area though , not a fan of sting like haha
Was there on Saturday night and it was amazing!!! One of the best concert I’ve been to…….. hands down!! Well done Sam! The world is there for the taking!! 👏
I drove across the country last year to see Sam in Chicago USA, only to find he cancelled the show and all his shows. This is great to see he is back. Next time Sam!
@CeeCee I agree to an extent tbh but this lad is huge everywhere he goes , there were people from places like Devon and. Dorset next to us last night! Give the lad credit he played probably the most emotional gig of his life last night and also tonight, I first heard of him in 2019 on soccer am, didn't even know he was a geordie at first
Used to be a fan. Great live performer. Sung, wrote great songs many about the (apparently unattainable) American dream. Trouble is Bruce found it and cashed in his recording rights for hundreds of millions of dollars. As for what his fans got, I gather US fans got some deal they could purchase some live album online reduced price. As for the rest worldwide. I dont know.
So glad I had the privilege to work both days of this concert at St James' Park... It was amazing!

as a fan from the other side of the world, seeing him doing this in his hometown makes me feel so happy!! x
He was born in North shields?
@@kristanmonarch7368 5 mins down the road who cares? What big stadium would he use in shields?
Gateshead is closer 😂😂 5 mins you seen traffic on that road 😋
Gateshead is closer to north shields than newcastle? You literally have to go through newcastle to get to gateshead, unless you mean by boat 🤣

What a fucking night. Feel privileged to have been there! Goosebumps!!!
Soy Argentino. Amo la música de Sam Fender. Cómo me gustaría poder verlo algún día en vivo jugando de local allí en Newcastle
He is without question, the best artist / band / act to come out (internationally) in the last 30 years. Absolutely incredible
Really? What about Alter bridge Foo fighters for a start

I love Sam fender but best artist in the last 30 years is a bit far. Red hot chilli peppers, oasis, just to name a couple.
@@deanadams7434 oasis no debate with them , no one else comes close , no disrespect to westlife of course 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The only place where the crowd can authentically say along with him "canny chanter but he looks sad" 😂

3 years ago I said he'll fill stadiums in no time I couldn't be happier for the band! Still gutted I couldn't be there. Thanks for posting!!!
@@Cristobal_2012 How many stadiums are you filling out ? 😂
Think he had 60k at Finsbury Park last year! Just as good as filling a stadium!!

So great! Wish I could've been there. Love Sam Fender and the boys ❣
Go on Sam lad. Smashing it 💪🔥
This song made me cry
Sounds like you had a fab night, so disappointed I wasn't able to get a ticket. As a fellow Geordie Sam Fender is someone I love to see live. xx
Howay the lads ...NUFC..
Sat outside now with a view of st. James, probably at about this point in the gig. Sweet!
Even if I didnt like his music id support him because hes a Geordie. He just so happens to make some banging tunes aswell!!!
