I'm an "elderly millennial" so I remember the haydays of American Apparel before it seemed to disappear overnight (I remember a shopping spree at the closing of the store closest to me when it shuttered...) anyway, I think that was about 10 years ago and to this day, I still have and wear all of my AA clothing and it truly does look new. (I hang dry everything which helps). Recently, I bought some stuff from the LAA website in a haze of nostalgia although sad that I no longer look like the 20something models on the website. It is high quality, it is COTTON not this nasty spandex stuff that is so popular these days, made in America with fair wages, and most of it is priced within a range that I can afford. these are are truly wins in my book!
I want to work for them! I love their style, their color use, and their practicality, from model to fashion design, it would be cool to work for this company.

It was chilling to see that bed in his office given what hes been accused of in terms of misconduct. There are also some “warehouse tours” on their youtube channel that are kind of just Dov following young women around with a camera. It’s not an artist to sleep in their studio… textile/fashion is an art, and he’s not just a businessman - he’s a designer who has been practicing garment dyeing techniques/stitching methods/crafting his own designs for years.
