I have owned both inspire drones, most of the Mavics going all the way through the 2 Pro / Hassleblad and a few phantoms. This is probably the DJI drone I’m most excited to fly for personal non film-work use. UPS is saying Monday I should have it. Best video and reviews on this product I have seen so far!

I know what you mean though , the trouble is the 1% that act and fly like idiots and spoil it for the rest of us who take care. People here in europe dont seem to be mentioning that this drone is not in the same class as the sub-250g ones and therefore has more restrictions , which will catch out a lot of people I think - especially noobs who are more likely to have never flown anything like this before walking into the local shop and buying one.

I noticed that you were using the FPV Controller 2 instead of the Motion Controller that is bundled with the Avata. Everyone hates the Motion Controller. Also I was very impressed with the signal strength flying through the bridge and low to the ground on the other side of the building and going inside the parking garage.
I actually expected a lil more of this Avata drone especially when it comes to the speed. This one seems to be really slow no matter if sport mode on full throttle. Now I need to see the FPV,
Is flying manual mode much like how you'd control an RC helicopter? I do pretty well in that, it's been a couple years since I flown one. This is the 2nd time I watched your video. I love the area you chose to do your flying.
Do you have more info on the actual settings of the camera ? : Ultra-wide ... etc I'm just curious about how much the image is "distorted" in such and such mode ... (FOV, wide angle / fish eye effect ...)
So I have one in my hands. Care Refresh is easy and done online after activation. Goggle 2 is for those without prescription glasses. It is still kinda of heavy comparing with FatShark. Goggle V2 is for those wearing prescription glasses 🙂. Agreed, remote controller should be part of combo, not just motion controller. DJI should design a dongal so all devices plug into it for charging as it only comes with 1 USB-C... ie can't charge all at the same time.
It'll be cool to have an actual drone or skins of drone on the screen as an option. It would be like flying in 3rd person. Who wouldn't want to fly as a tie fighter?
Great Video and does look like fun! I did notice that I could hear the drone wherever you had it and wondered if it was your mic picking it up or if the googles produced the sound. If it was the mic, then it is very loud. Can you elaborate??

Hey Billy, I have a a DJI mini 3 pro and I am looking at getting the integra goggles and the controller 2 for it to do fpv. Should I spend the little bit more and get the avata package or just use my mini 3 pro for both fpv and normal video modes? Would love your thoughts. Thanks!

17:38 - 17:50 ... we're definitely going to see more drone laws as people get annoyed with people flying their drones around people, especially FPV drones that create A LOT more noise. If not drone laws, more incidents where people either interact negatively with the actual FPV pilot, or reporting to someone (i.e. hotel owner) that a drone is buzzing around. I know Billy you are considerate, but others won't be. Great video btw, will likely be a buy for me.
@@airadaimagery692 To what magnification? I'm farsighted as well and use progressives(bifocals). My top number is a +5.0 with an add of +2.0 for reading. I think I'll need my glasses.
@@harrisongould9460 I’m not 100% positive, but from looking at the view finders on the video, not this video but one I saw on a different channel, there are 6 numbers on each one, right and left eye, and it’s either 1-6 or 0 1 2 3 4 5. I don’t think glasses will work with them... It’s not like my fat sharks where you have to change the diopters to suit your needs, you simply spin each side to dial them in.
i wish there was some kind of CLEAR measurement/ an AR/VR based indication that would help the user flying such drone to see whether the drone is going to touch any of those obstacles within those tiny gaps where the user want to fly the drone,. never flew a drone before, but looking into the video, i almost felt like the drone is going to touch the corners of those blades etc, to the edges of leaves/trees/tiny gaps and their borders etc., and crash ;)
I wish it was sub 250 grams and quiet. Better turn off return to home when flying through anything. I figure it would crash if it returns home with a roof over it. Hopefully it has hover if signal is lost. Thanks for the video.

It's so tempting to buy this, I almost always fly drones by myself. Having to have someone with me may be a deal breaker 😞
and dont they have to keep constant line of sight on the quad too ? so no flying behind trees or buildings technically?
I’m 7 years into FPV. Have never used a spotter. Just use a bit of common sense and you’ll never be anywhere close to causing damage of any kind lol

Only thing I'm interested in are the goggles, but if they won't work with existing air units or vistas, not worth it

Really want this but can't justify the money for the goggles 2 version. Plus if I get the v2 version I can buy other digital drones and use goggles.
Question: When using the joystick do you have reverse? or is it either side to side and forward?
No reverse with motion controller currently.

Not all of us have the controller.
If DJI put out firmware, to enable the New Goggles to work with my Vista units, I would definitely upgrade.
