I met with a TT representative and your video was more comprehensive than the meeting I had. Thanks for making the video.

Great Video. I have had a Camping Pass (and now an Elite Pass for 12 years and a Cabin Pass for 3 years). Several Things to know. Each Thousand Trails Campground has a few Cabins designated for the Cabin Pass. My favorite Campground in North Texas always has 3 Cabins reserved for Cabin Pass Members. Which Cabins are designated is somewhat Random. Some one somewhere goes through regularly picking them. So you don't know what will be available until you check online. For example you may not be able to get a pet friendly Cabin, a full size refrigerator Cabin, or a Cabin with linens every time. Something else is that when I bought my first Cabin Pass I was tent camping full time. I was able to tent camp for a week with my Elite Pass, move to another Thousand Trails Campground for another week in my tent, then get a Cabin for the 3rd week. I recently bought a Casita RV and have it on a Thousand Trails Annual site. I can and do spend 2 weeks in my RV and then get a Cabin for my 3rd week. Never a problem.

Before i purchased my cabin pass there were so many cabins available and as soon as i purchased the cabin pass and got transferred to a booking agent there were only 2 cabins available for members and nothing available with pets. And now i am noticing all the locations that i am looking at are very limited and cant find any cabins for 6 available with pets anywhere.

That stinks- what part of the country are you in? I’m hoping it’s just temporary and things will ease up soon for you. How far out were you trying to book?

Thanks bud. I'll call. Curious how many take dogs. Wonder why they aren't in north west like Montana and Wisconsin

Very informative, thank you! Do you have any information about how the availability is for the cabin rentals?

I’ve hear mixed reports across the country. Some hot spot areas like California and in the Northeast have been filling up faster than others. However, most people report that if you book as early as possible, you will find a rental. When planning your trip, always try to have a backup location in mind and try not to wait until the last minute to book.

Thank you! I have been thinking about purchasing. I live in California and have done some research on these cabins and there are four locations within a two hour radius of me with lots of things to plus the many more.

What if you put to cabin pass in one spouse name and the regular trail pass in the other spouse name? Could you get around the day limits?

I’ve asked this question, and apparently it’s in violation of Thousand Trails rules. Will the know, not sure? I really think they need to change the policy to allow both passes to be used back to back. It’s a lot of money and a big restriction.
