Pat Cash has always been my go to music critic.Other than that you can tell that these robots have been told to crush genuine talent as their masters have instructed them to.
Ha actually watched this when it was on. We only watched it because we knew World Of Twist were going to be on. I remember being shocked that Bernard Sumner didnt like it. For me it was a great tune. Their LP was great, their singles were great, they were a great band. Im only posting this now because I just watched the performance of The Storm on the Word, which, again I watched at the time. But seeing it again after all these years just distills their vision into one hell of a moment.
I worked in a record shop at the time of this (and liked this track). I remember my colleagues having a chuckle at the Bernard Sumner comment. Looking at this clip now, it all seems so *awkward* (the reviews part). I'm glad Pat Cash had something good to say about the track.
Continuing, sorry to bore you..but that performance on the Word genuinely captures one of the most psychedelic live TV takes (sonically) ever captured. World of Twist were an absolutely astounding band. They were grade A brilliant. They are my favourite ever Manchester band.
the most underated band of all time

Never knew Bernard was so jealous.

'We are weird'? If New Order had been a bit more 'We are weird' they maybe wouldn't have been such a spent force by 1990.
Instead of saying 'I think it was a bit we are weird? Boring Bernard should have said 'fuck me its a bit ahead of its time'

Name the panelists?
Do you have anymore stuff from this show?
Super Pat Cash 💰
Better to be weird than moribund like new order.

Bernard's comment seems a bit poor considering his own band but bootsy is on a different level. Seriously
