Todd should have won this World Championship, even without the quad, or been no lower than second overall. His LP was fantastic, but he ended up third. Yagudin was sick and gave a terribly flawed LP with lots of mistakes and missed jumps. This was the last Worlds before the 2002 Olympics, and there was no way the ISU judges were going to give Todd his second World title and break the momentum of the famous rivalry between Yagudin and Plushenko going into the Olympics. That's why they put Plushenko first and threw Yagudin the silver, leaving Todd in 3rd. This should have been Todd's second World title, easily.
