Ale was 14 . . Rocking the Whisky . . Blows my mind every time i watch this . .
Ale is still not old enough to get in....😀
@@jimlaheta8864 🤣
This is Atlas Rise for me. Dany's voice is perfection. Also this song shows off her substantial guitar chops. Love it every time.
I can't listen to the Metallica version of Atlas Rise or Enter Sandman after hear The Warning's version of the songs.
@@TheCorpsehatch SAME!!
The text underneath the video. It wasn’t on their setlist. It was a request.
“After years of not playing covers on stage, we belted out this awesome rendition of “Atlas Rise” for one our dear friends and ultimate fans! Metallica has been a great inspiration for us as well as an important factor in our professional lives. It is a true honor to play their song, we hope we did it justice and you enjoy it as much as we did playing it! “
I wonder how many times Atlas Rise has ever finished up with a Blown Kiss to the crowd.
Ale was gassed after this 22 track set going into Atlas Rise. Dany looked like she could go another 22 tracks. And Pau, Pau is other worldly. I’ve seen her do headliner shows, singing and drumming and still be breathing through her nose between songs the entire set. They are doing what they were destined to do and doing it at an extremely high level.
This was the last song they did when they quit doing covers in 2017. Here in 2020 they practiced it at sound check for the 1st time in 3 years and killed it.
5:33 You can see poor 14 year old Ale is nearly out of gas after playing some 2 hours nonstop before this closer, yet still powers through to the end. What a pro! 😎👍
Hang on Ale, we're almost done.
They did this performance at the end of a 2 + hour set and they were exhausted, you can see that Ale is running on fumes. This link is to a fan-made video of Metallica and The Warning playing "Atlas Rise" at the same time. It shows just how well they did this. Excellent reaction as usual. ruclips.net/video/BrJPgQFXKBM/видео.html
So heavy
So cool
Go!Go!!!!!!!!!!
wowowooooooooo
Yasssss!!!!!!🔥🤘
Try "Runaway" also from the Dakota Bar. Ale's harmonies come in loud and clear and are great. And as usual, their song structure is amazing at that age. Look for an unexpected end.
Busting a song out that is not in your set list and of this level of technicality, just shows what The Warning are capable of!
Love it when I see young souls burning hot in the firepits of Rock 'n Roll Hell! 😈 Thx, John!
Nice wake up song! Thanks!
I’ve come back to this song many times. I still feel that this is their most impressive live performance ever. They absolutely slayed it.
Enjoyed your praise of their performance. Couldn't agree more. My favorite part might be about halfway through when Dany makes eye contact with her sisters to make sure they're all on board for the stop coming up, and then they nailed it. Not an easy song like you pointed out.
Friggin awesome 🤘🎶☮️
Great analysis and reaction. I'm always waiting in anticipation to seeing your videos.
I appreciate that!
This is amazing in so many different ways. Three years since they had played it(practiced it at soundcheck that day). Was a request from someone at the Go Go. I could go on and on, but TWA will fill in the dead air!!
It was a great night and an amazing show!
Thanks, RC, for your continuing support of our favorite young ladies! As I'm sure others that are better informed than I will tell u, DPA had already played a long (nearly 2 hour?) set when they ended the night with this special request. They are absolutely incredible!!! The Warning Rise!!! 🤘⚡️🤘⚡️🤘
Rehearsed as an encore. They hadn't played this in 3 or 4 years before this. The Whisky owner was a Metallica fan, and this was done as a treat for him.
@@RussInCanada . 2 years, they did it in the Cave in 2017 and the Whiskey was in 2019
@@gabrielalbertocastillomarq6120
Yes, you are correct.
Our pleasure!
Thanks RC....there skills as a trio are amazing. Poor Ale was exhausted but never missed a note and "flow" of her base is incredible. Their Live's are freaking mind blowing just how great and talented these young Ladies are. Enjoyed both "Atlas Rise" you shared with all us fans. Cheers. 🤘🤘⚡⚡
I was really happy to see John do this reaction. When I look at both performances, they are extremely consistent and two years apart. I have heard some folks say that the 2017 performance in the basement could not have been in one take. Oh really? Looks like one take at the Whiskey to me. I have been a supporter and watching this band for 8 years at least. They are very technical players. Ale is trained in Jazz on her bass. And Pau, is just crazy on the drums. Dany, is unbelievable with what she does. I have seen her just "rip" on the guitar. But its not their style of songs. I really wanted to hear what John would say about this and he was dead on. Its a complicated song and the girls were tired when they played it, flawlessly from what I can see. One other thing, they are used to playing in high altitude. Those shows in Mexico City are 7350 feet. I never hear this observation either. I have some other nuggets to share with John and maybe he will do a reaction.
I wish the girls would consider playing an instrumental on their future albums, and just let go like they did in Atlas Rise. I have albums where some of my favorite bands would have an instrumental. How about the Allman Brothers as an example? Thanks John for doing this. I am a bit Sick from hearing "Sick "constantly. Its certainly everywhere. Good for The Warning.....
I love their rendition - 5 min. complex song after a 22 songs set - DPA going full damp and killing it - 14y's old Ale was exhausted, but man what a delivery
I agree whether you like Metallica or this song or not, it can't be easy to play that on point and they killed it.
DPA crushed it 🔥 and at the end of a 2 hour set kudos to them for keeping the energy level top tier.🤯 Love this version so awesome to see thanks RC very enjoyable.🤘⚡🔥
Black Holes ya bring your tissues it's a tear jerker dude. 😭
Love this one so much. It’s a pummeling assault from start to finish, and as I’m sure others have mentioned, this was the encore to a 2 hour set. They were exhausted at the end. Thanks again.
They tore this shit up!
Thanks for the reaction RC! Always look forward to the insight you bring, can’t wait to the next TW reaction!!!👏😊⚡️
My pleasure!!
DPA/TW played this cover of *Atlas Rise* at the Whisky A GoGo's 55th anniversary, 24 Jun 2019... it was the last song of a 2 hour gig with 22 songs played... the manager of the Whisky is a huge Metallica fan and the girls decided to do this cover for them... they originally played it in The Warning Cave (video available) several years before... they did this with a few days practice and completely knocked it out of the stadium! you can tell Ale is worn slap out but powers through to the end... i can't say that i blame her... AFAIK, this is the longest song, cover or original, they have played... this is the last time they have played a cover in a public show... we don't know what the future holds, though 😜 😹
TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Hey RC, I don't know if you remember during the Allison Hagendorf interview, the girls said that when they were playing their songs to David Bendeth for the ERROR album, he said they were playing out of time with one another. If this is playing "out of time", then it must just be by nano seconds. David must have super human hearing. 😊
coooooool
gr8 reaction ... this definitely shows their talent ... every time i watch this it reminds me how much i love the sound of that manson guitar ... it was made for dany and this song ... r0ck 0n my montrose loving friend : ) ... namaste from canada ... twa ... \m/
Dany looks like she could keep going, just play all night.
the all-female rock group , called The Warning,
for my taste is a rare mix of legendary rock groups like Suzi Quatro, Joan Jett and the black hearts and Heart.
greetings from Mexico.
After a 22, 2+ hour set, this was a Birthday gift the owner of The Whiskey. They left EVERYTHING they had on stage. All three collapsed on the couch in the Green Room. Ale had to be helped backstage afterwards. These girls are just the absolute best live. I am a 67 year old rocker kid at heart. Long live Rock and Roll for many years to come.🤘🤘
Also to consider. This was the encore of a full headline show. This was the 22nd song of the night. They left EVERYTHING on the stage.
I've always loved this song and The Warning killed it. I think Ale was 14.
Always a pleasure to hear your reaction RC. DPA are from another dimension l swear! I wonder how many more teenage acts have ever performed at the Whiskey? Awesome performance.
🤘😆👍
❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘⚡⚡⚡🔥
Paulina sings the chorus in this song - while beating the drums to death.
De los excelentes cover de The Warning,Atlas Rise, el rock de TW es tan bueno que tocan hasta Metal
After watching this and hearing your comments, I watched the Metallica OMV. I'm boggled. It sounded kind of dead. The Warning's cover is lively, better than the original in many ways. Pau's energy and power are massive. Lars is like an old man by comparison. Ale's bass is powerful, lifting the whole song along. Dany's playing is powerful, clean and efficient. Her hands don't move much to accomplish all of the lines - it's weird to watch. James slides up and down to play the main riff while Dany just throws out her little finger, maybe because her wrist bend is so deep (I've seen the clips of her showing her bizarre hand flexibility). Her solos are clean and clear, without as much effects as Kirk applies, making shredding look deceptively easy. The vocals are clear and loud from Dany and Pau. I hear a couple of near misses timewise in the The Warning's version, but they're playing live a song that isn't on their regular set list, while the Metallica version is cut together in a recording studio. Yikes!
Remember. Metallica needs two guitarists to make this much noise.
