I really like your explanation of things and your patience in showing how to accomplish such wonderful sounds. This is my kind of lesson. Thanks Dominic!
I saw a clip of this video on Instagram and figured I’d check out the full video on RUclips. Harmonics have such a special and pretty sound!! I followed the video and tried it myself. Sounds great once you have it down.
Thx for the tips ! ❤ Your fingerpicking style is very accomplished, great guitarist. I'm starting to have it, I will add this technique to my composition arsenal right now
I've been watching all of your reels on instagram for about a year now and I still didn't realise you had a youtube channel. Just subbed, hands down my biggest inspiration when it comes to guitar playing. If you could do a tutorial for your rendition of Slow Dancing in a Burning Room, I'd be forever grateful. Much love from South Africa! ❤🇿🇦
What a great tutorial! But my artificial harmonics just don't sound as good as u😭 Even after like a few month of practice.. Do you use any particular sound to make it that clean? Some effects?
Could be a few factors: 1. I have nails on my right hand that make everything I play louder and clearer 2. Make sure you’re using a steel string guitar and not a nylon string, harmonics on nylon sound cool but they’re not as loud and resonant as steel 3. I do use microphones, compression, EQ, and reverb for my videos so that will give it a boost for sure. If you hear me play live it would still sound loud and clear, but technology vibes it that 10-20% boost
Do we need nails for this? Cause like at first I was plucking by my flesh and didn't hear the harmonics but when I tried with my nails it worked so like do we need nails or i just cant do it
No, you don't need nails to play harmonics. It's all about the right amount of pressure. Just lay your finger very soft on top of the harmonics and then pick the string. Too much pressure damps the string and you won't hear the harmonics.

Nice tutorial.
I had to remember: harmonics are not hammer-ons. 😊
Great explanation! Exactly why I focus on trumpet. 🎺 much easier than guitar 😂
Hey Could you make some sort of video teaching the Major/Minor “Pentatonic” So I can understand guitar?
Do we need nails for this? Cause like at first I was plucking by my flesh and didn't hear the harmonics but when I tried with my nails it worked so like do we need nails or i just cant do it

4:09 can i use my middle finger?
It depends on you. If using your middle finger is more comfortable, go for it. You can even use your pinky
Nice Lesson! Which Taylor Model is this?
Whats the best guitar for harmonics?
Can u tell what strings u use they sound beautiful
Very nice sound. I’m going to guess that you played classical guitar, based on right hand technique.

My name is Rayyan
Hey I’m from Pakistan
Use your thumb instead on the strum harmonics
Overall a good explanation. You clearly know what you are talking about. However, please use the word *index* finger and not baby talk.
Guitar name is Taylor, like Taylor Swift???????
No. Not taylor swift. Taylor guitars
Like Bob Taylor
There's no such thing as sweep harmonics
