I'w got this same cooler but mine is properly all black. Really liking it, performance very close to the fabled noctuas but cheaper and smaller. Also love the looks in comparison to the huge noctuas.
And better ram clearance than nh-d15. Got the White version, very pleased with the purchase. It's 50 euro in my country and I got no access to Thermalright products - great product, with decent compatibility and nice looks
A small note on pricing: If you don't use an aquarium for a case or prefer the plated Nickel look, you can also get the base version of the AK620, which is about 10€ cheaper than the completely black and white versions. For those, there are also "digital" versions with a temperature display on top of the shroud available. Those are usually a few Euros more expensive, but from my experience in Germany, they aren't really that easy to come by, especially the white one. As for the fans, it seems that the DeepCool FK120 matches the specs of the air-cooler ones very closely. However, they only come in black.
Great review! Im looking to buy a ak400 digital but cant find reviews that show how deepcool’s software works. Looking forward if you guys can give your opinion in that. Keep up the good work
Look for video reviews of the other digital versions in the AK series, like AK500. There are reviews which demonstrate how the software works and is configured. It is the same software across the product range so will show you what you need to know.
Another one symethrical cooler - this is nonsense. Dead end. Start manufacturing and research asymethrical coolers, improve it. You already got asymethrical coolers on the market - from Scythe - Fuma 2 and Fuma 3. Look at your cooler DeepCool look at it from the side. Why there is cutout in its front and on the back at the bottom? For RAM clearance? Well, front fan is taking over and covering that cutout, so its nonsense. You got little bigger RAM sticks? Well, it sucks, you have to mount fan above tower, making less space between cooler and side panel, if it even close. Not to mention how it looks. You want to reach PCIE lock clip with your finger, to unlock your GPU from the slot, well, that sucks, use something different than your finger. This is dead end. Asymethrical coolers are the future.
Depends on if the extra distance from offsetting the heatpipes away further away from RAM slots affects the thermal transfer of the whole thing. Like the far left side of the coolers heatpipes have a longer distance to travel to and from the centre mass. So far the best air performing air coolers on the market have a symmetrical design. Including Noctua's next generation NH-D15 and those guys do a helluva lot of research on their fans and coolers.
@@hinchlikescake7592 Then check Scythe Fuma 2 performance. Even on stock, low RPM fans. Its very close to noctua. And if you dont know, Noctua also have asymethrical NHD15 S.
40€'s Phantom Spirit 120 beating big boys like Dark Rock Elite and NH-D15 is so nice to see.

AK400 is ok for a 100W CPU (or a bit above), but not for a 200W+ chip
