I got consultation with Lauren. And believe me they will save you a lot of money and time. You might think you can do it on your own, but you don’t know as much as they do. I was going to SNHU and I had a plan to graduate in 8-12 months. Lauren opened my eyes to UMPI. Now I’m going to graduate in 4 months. Spend a few hundred bucks to save thousands and hours of time. Thank you Lauren
When you graduate, we want to hear about it! Sounds like we need to get a testimonial from you. ;)
UMPI doesn't accept under 21 old?
Did 90 sophia credits in 1 month and about to finish umpi in 2 semesters ( easily couldve been 1)
i didnt get a personal consultation but you both are 100% the reason why i have a bachelors.
Thank you
Amazing work! Glad we could help. :)

Very interested in how you hacked part of your PhD. That would be a cool vid.
Noted!
Agreed! An updated discussion on PLA or professional experience/ development applying to a doctoral degree would be great. LU specifically would be great. Their website isn’t clear so I’m not sure if they changed their rules or just make it a point to not advertise it clearly.
OMG, UMPI recently had over 500 graduates and I am pretty excited to be part of this year’s graduation class. I was able to complete a bachelor in accounting within 8 months and I am looking forward to starting the masters degree with UMPI next month.
Way to go!! 👏🏼👏🏼

Entering the fall.
Season of my life. How do -
I begin anew?
I work full time and part time, and completed all the free training i can at work. Moved cross country to help parents from out of state. Dad passed and I am helping my mom clean and do repairs on her small farm. My father in law lost his home in a house fire and had to tear it down for him and cleanup. Just got done with that a year ago December. My wife had a stroke last fall and so working through new things with her as well. I'd rather you help a single mom or dad if they are struggling, but I wouldnt say no to a free consult. At my age this seems like a chance for a new beginning, and the financial savings would help. I intend to put it to good use.
I just got my BLS Management from UMPI and did 42 units on term.
EXCELLENT! Would love to hear more clifford@collegehacked.com
Did you have proctor exams
I feel that open book like Sophia has can actually be a far better method of actually learning. Personally, if I have to look up something because I do not know the answer that really really sticks with me permanently, but if I am doing a typical test and don't really know the answer, guess, and get it wrong then I rarely if ever actually learn the correct answer to that question. I think a good compromise would be for Sophia to increase the passing grade to 85% or something which would make folks be sure of their answers and look up ones they are not really sure of without being all "well I know I am at least going to get a passing 70% so I don't care if I bomb these few questions I have no idea about."
We can DEFINITELY get behind that vision for Sophia. Great insight!
I just earned a 3rd bachelor's degree in sociology from Thomas Edison State University. Came in with a master's degree. From my experience, I've been quite competitive in the job market, but this is purely a way to enrich myself. It doesn't have to be a waste of money 😂❤ College hacked inspired me all this time while I was at TESU. I feel like you’ve been advising me on RUclips with all the videos I've watched. Thanks much, #CollegeHacked ❤
Hey, that’s awesome! So glad we could help.
Thank you for putting me into your Q&A video! I was rather giddy to see my comment pop up. ☺️😂
Everything you both said is how I feel about Sophia as well so I feel we’re all on the same page.
I’m planning on applying to UMPI next summer so I’m hopeful and quite confident that all of the work I’m putting in now on Sophia will all still be worthwhile and valid.

So awesome, glad you enjoyed! 😄 And fingers crossed not much changes on you before you reach UMPI 😌
A career change is the main reason for getting a second Bachelor's degree and it's often the more economical choice since the majority of GE is already satisfied, allowing one to focus on the core courses of the major which apply to their new career.
That would seem like a good idea, but the reality of the job market right now is a bachelors is the baseline expectation. Although it seems counterintuitive, it’s almost always better to have a graduate degree, even if it’s unrelated to the job at hand. Except for in specific industries, like tech.

Education changes life
I need to make it
I was planning on going to an in-state 4-year university, but I can't manage so much debt directly after high school. I want to be successful and support my family. I know that education is still an important part of getting a good job, but the cost is nearly impossible to cover without a parent's help or over-reliance on loans.
You can hack high school… drop out and get that GED. GED is functionally the same as a high school diploma.
Which online accredited universities for Master’s degree do not require proctored exams besides SNHU and are cheaper than SNHU ?
UMPI Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership
You can totally hack high school. It's called Homeschooling! I do it with all my kids and it's amazing!
You don't technically get a "high school diploma" but you just say something vague like "completed high school" etc. Then the kids can work on CLEP exams or things that interest them or find other exciting things.
Didn’t mean to imply high school couldn’t be hacked, just that it’s a bit of a touchy subject. Not all kids should accelerate through their younger years (some mature more slowly than others and need the time). So we’re trying to make the point that it’s not necessarily a good idea for everyone. But for the right kids it’s awesome 😎 Dr. Lauren and I were both homeschooled.
That's why you can think outside of the box so well!

20:00: In most states, it IS technically possible to accelerate a High School Degree.
If one earns either a GED or a HiSet diploma (themselves a category of degree called HSEDs or "High School Equivalency Diplomas" in the States, since the GED degree now has competition here for a change), most states will typically allow the HSED to be transferred in as high school credit hours for all credits except for stuff like PE and Health Education that falls outside the scope of the HSED (Utah is one state that allows this, there are likely several others).
The main headache with this is that most states typically require one to drop out before being allowed to test for the HSED, which typically also requires parental permission (why can't us Yanks be allowed to graduate high school in 10th grade like they do in the UK!? 🤣 ).
The other major-trade off is that once high school is terminated, you lose access to either the high-school exclusive AP, IB, or- if you attend high school in either certain Florida or UK high schools- the AICE exams, which themselves be redeemed for college credit.
I have the feeling you've already reached this conclusion on your own, but if you get that one parent on a consult who claims their kid's motivation for wanting to finish high school quickly is due to how annoying the people are, it almost makes more sense to recommend three-year high school than it does to drop out to get GED access.
In school districts that allow it, this is usually accomplished by starting off your kid in High School-level Summer School as soon as they finish Eighth Grade, and/or also simultaneously booking classes during "0th Period" in schools that allow early morning high school instruction (note that while high school in the US is technically "tuition free" during the regular school year, in most states, schools are explicitly allowed to charge tuition for summer school; for example, in Tennessee during the early '00s, if your kid "failed" or wanted to "skip ahead", they used to charge $70.00 USD per semester per class. Because summer school instruction for that high school was offered for up to four semester's worth of classes, a "four-pack" of "supposedly free American high school" would set you back $240.00 per summer per kid, and that was before pandemic-era inflation set in!).
Still, boss video! :)
I’d love to see you make a video on the best nationally accredited colleges. Some people opt for a nationally accredited degree because they just want 1. To pay less and/or 2. They want a promotion and their employer is okay with nationally accredited degrees
When you can get a regionally accredited degree for the same price (or less in many cases), there are very few situations where a degree that is only nationally accredited makes sense (employer only offering to pay for a certain school would be an example). But yes, Penn Foster accepts ACE credits 👍🏼

College hacking is the way
Inspiring great change
Thank you Lauren and Clifford for making such great content. Your channel has given me new hope in finally attaining my degree. It’s crazy that college hacking is a real thing. I’m already telling all my family and friends about it.
Hello! I'm loving your content! I'm wondering if you have ever talked about study methods. Do you have a preference or anything that you suggest to your clients? Flashcards? cramming? Mind mapping?
We don’t do as much with specific study methods, since no one way of learning works for every person. But we do recommend trying out all of those things to see what works for you :) Most people are either linear learners (benefit from things like mind-maps to stretch their way of thinking), or intuitive learners (whose brains basically ARE a mind-map!).
I just graduated with a bachelor's degree in supply chain, transportation, and logistics management. I currently work in the aerospace and defense industry as a supply chain analyst. I'm looking to pursue my masters degree in supply chain analytical to be more data driven, any masters degrees, or universities insight would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
Depends on the direction you want to go with your masters. You could do something like Data Analytics, or Supply Chain again. Or you could do something like Liberty University’s Masters of Interdisciplinary Studies Research, where you get to hand pick the classes in your degree so you learn whatever helps your career the most. Then there’s a mini dissertation project where you can “give back” to your industry and that becomes your interview “calling card” to set you apart. All depends on your goals!
I want to register for a a chance to win a free consultation.
I’m confused about the accreditation for UMPI; it doesn’t appear to be acknowledged nationally or regionally
It’s both regionally and nationally accredited, just takes a quick Google search to find
I have all ready choose a school and major how can I schedule a single session consult ??

I have a total of 72 credits and looking to get Bachelors Degree so that if at any point I need to go back into the work force I am in a better position to do so. Do you help moms like me that don’t have current work experience, on tight budget and are looking to continue to better myself as I also raise and homeschool my children?
Absolutely! Check out our video interview with a stay at home mom who successfully hacked, and also my video with my kids talking about stay at home parents :)

Do you also help with post graduation? Meaning, I want to get a masters as a therapist, but not sure if colleges will accept from UMPI, or if I will have taken the prerequisites… I just want to be prepared for masters courses and make sure I can get in with my degree
A big part of what we do when building an undergrad plan for someone’s is take the time to plan backwards. :) In your case, we’d help you identify a group of grad programs that would lead to licensure in your state so that the undergrad plan we then put together meets their admissions requirements and sets you up for success.
Have you looked at the University of VA SCPS?
We haven’t, just because UVA isn’t a hackable school :) High quality, I am sure!
Does UMPI internationally accredited ? I am an international student and this is important for me
I don’t think so but it’s one of the questions that I do have as well if it’s even nationally accredited
What specific accreditation are you looking for? UMPI is regionally and nationally accredited, but we don’t keep track of how other countries accredit the degrees here.
You previous talked about an aviation video in the works but it never came out… will that be coming out?
I may have meant the Sarah video that came out recently! She completed an aviation masters at Liberty.
What major at WGU would be best if I wanted to be a licensed counselor or do you think one of the other schools are a better option?
WGU is awesome! The bad news about their new Psych degree is it’s not very hackable. They may change that as time goes on, but right now UMPI Psychology is more hackable. You could major in anything and get into most LPC/LMFT programs though :)
@@CollegeHackedthanks to your videos I have been looking into UMPI! You would suggest their liberal studies?! Do you have a referral link to the school? I definitely want to pay it forward.
@@theschniadaily You could definitely do Liberal Studies 😄 And aw thanks for thinking of us! We don't have formal partnerships with any of the schools that result in kickbacks to us, we want our viewers to rest assured that our opinions are based on facts and not influenced by $$$ 🤑
Alright so I have just started looking into all this but how can I tell if the course transfers over to WGU if it doesn't have the same name?
They have transfer guides on their website 😄
What school would you recommend for dyslexia students, perhaps slower paced or tutoring/learning support?
Liberty has an excellent accommodations office! Or schools like UMPI that are competency based mean you don’t have weekly deadlines, so you can work at your own pace.

Health administration really 😮 nice. UMPI
what are the reasons between choosing a thesis or non-thesis masters program?
What you intend to use the degree for
I heard what you said about the 2 year bible school. Did that in my 20's
I'm getting my bachelors degree in psychology and I graduate next year. Can I still apply to WGU MBA masters program or would I have to have a Bachelors degree in business to apply?
Can still apply :)
Who are you going with for psychology?
I wanna do masters in Accounting. Could you suggest me which university should I go for? Which would be worth it and I can land a job?
A degree never guarantees you a job, you also have to be a high quality person in addition to having the right degree(s). Liberty and SNHU are good schools!
What NFL teams does Lauren and Cliff support?
Not sure Cliff could name many NFL teams 😜 And I grew up in San Diego (Chargers back then) and now live in Las Vegas (Raiders), so I’ve got a lot of cognitive dissonance going on 😂 Formula 1 is better 😉 -Lauren

In need of your smarts,
Hack a degree for me soon,
Help, I need of you.
How do you hack multiple degrees that have nothing to do with each other? Do you have to go one by one?
You have an option! You can complete both at the same school simultaneously (or one at a time), or you can complete one bachelors degree and transfer it into the next bachelors degree at another school. Some of that transfer credit will likely melt though, so it would be better to plan it all at the beginning so you guarantee the best transfer rate down the road. All that said, two bachelors degrees is rarely the best option. Go grad for the second topic!
To change my career,
For confidence, family,
Travel, peace, knowledge.
I probably could afford a consult, but probably wouldn't pay. My situation is also unique enough that hacking may be faster, but not as cheap. Hoping i have time and energy to meet you tomorrow for office hours to see if it worth it.
