To obtain the ISO file for Windows 11, visit the Microsoft download center: www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11. Look for the section called "Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO) for x64 devices". From there select it and click the download button. This will actually download the ISO file to your computer. I would suggest you create a directory on your host machine called "ISO" so you can place all of the ISO files in one directory. There is no need to extract the file. ISO files are not like ZIP files in the sense that they need to be extracted. VirtualBox understands how to work with the ISO file. When you present the ISO file to VirtualBox (or any hypervisor), it will mount the file to the optical drive (think CD or DVD drive on the VM). So when you boot the VM, it will boot the virtual machine from the optical drive and start the process of setup. I hope this is helpful.

The message you see regarding possible disconnection is because when installing a hypervisor, the installation process adds/modifies network drivers on the system so the process is warning you that you may be temporarily disconnected. If you are disconnected, it would only be momentarily and nothing to worry about.

ahhh im on ethernet, on installation is a popup it will disconnect network. this installer will disconnect me from network when i am on ethernet?
