We certainly appreciate the feedback on the system and have noted all your points with our product development team.

Hey Scag, we are looking to buy one of these bagging systems. Have the issues addressed in this video been fixed?

For 2800 dollars plus what a joke. Hope scag has my back when my new kit goes to shit after giving them so much money.

I had issues with a grass catcher on two new scags we bought 17 years ago. Then this year i bought a new vride and figured after that much time the grass catcher would have been fixed… nope same terrible fitment to the point of not even being usable. The mowers are sensational but you really need to do a better job with the accesories!

Might I suggest, especially since you have a couple of extras there, that you straighten the "L" bracket back out, take it to a welder, or if you have a welder, and attach a gusset to the back side of that L bracket for added strength, and then cut the flange at the bottom of that plate, where you said it was hanging down to low, and remove a small pie cut, straight across, leaving the bottom rolled edge attached, over about 3 or 4 inches, maybe a quarter to 3/8 wide tappered towards the front of the mower, bend the rolled bottom flange up, to create an angle, and weld it back up, hopefullyit won't interfere with the blade. Wouldn't hurt to try, especially since you have a couple of old ones. I just ordered a new Patriot with that bagger system, I will see what mine does, and adjust from there, and if it works, share that idea with the company😎 and with the RUclips channel.

I have a 61”. Brand new last spring. I hooked that baffle on a edge of a sidewalk entry I wasn’t even curb hopping. Anyway I hooked it didn’t know when I got on the turf to engage the blades and it started and slammed to a dead stop whole machine. The baffle bent just enough to catch the blade. I ripped a 1 inch chunk of the plate. I freaked. I bought the replacement plate and left it off. I run the bagger anyway. Also check your blade to pin adjustment measurements. I was sitting 1 inch lower than what I was actually cutting. The main baffle hooked on the trailer every time

I have the same exact experience with my 52 bagging system. The turbo baffle would inevitably loosen up enough to catch the blade and shut the machine off. Scary. I also noticed the mower squatting from the true cutting height. Nice to know I’m not alone. I thought I was going crazy. 😂 🍻

I've definitely got to get me a bagger system like that. My cyclone rake and accelerated grass catcher just isn't cutting it anymore lol

I run the vac system on our cheetah 2s and I bent that baffle piece once and said I’ll just run them without it and haven’t had them on since. They bag just fine without that piece of the baffle.

This guy was super cool about his evaluation of the bagger!! He gave positive and negative “feedback”. It was nothing personal at all :) great job 👏🏼

I’m really impressed with it. Great idea but I have lot of blower out near the discharge and on the front left side. I end up making several passes. I’ve tried ceiling off opens, adding rubber around the front of the deck. Great idea I like the convenience of emptying the bags. I’m using extra high lift blades. I figured it would help draw up leaves and the fine leaf debris left behind. Maybe tbe blades are pushing the leaves debris out from deck and discharge opening cracks???

I bought a turf tiger 2 with a clam shell and it was a disaster. Went with grasshopper and have been thrilled.

Great video. How much width does the bagger tube add to the deck and how much length do the bags add to the mower? Thanks a lot. Please forgive me. You covered this towards the end. Exceptional detail really appreciated.

Lawn business is good but constant repairs and like you mentioned the help sucks.
They dont care because theyre not paying for the repairs.

Anyway you can show the mounting stuff ? To where the bagger mounts to mower?

Instead of using that baffle that you have order the baffle that is the entire length of the deck is starts out thin on the left side and as it comes to the discharge side it gets wider they're about $300 I have it on my tiger cat 48 in wider which has the velocity deck it works great cuz you don't have to take it off when you want to just side discharge. Just call Scag they should have it I just bought a 48v ride because I'm going to take the old bagger off my rider and hopefully it will work on my new stand on because I do not want to buy the one like you have because it's only a 6 inch tube vs 8 in tube

I think the new bags are cheaper material. Mine dry rotted I have old bags that are 10 years old in better shape. Your catcher belt is probably going fast because your guys are not paying attention on how to route and not roll or twist the belt causing it to burn up

can you bag without those metal flaps?

    • @rosedcurt2865
      @rosedcurt2865 3 года назад

no, you need some form of baffle to direct clippings into the vacuum chute. Someone else commented on here and said there are full deck length baffles available from scag, idk how that works but that would solve the discharge/no bagging issue.
