It depends on the shelf life of the ingredients you use. This cream does not need a preservative as it is purely oil based. No water was added to it.
What can I use instead of hydrogenated vegetable oil because it causes inflammation. I can’t use it. Can I use olive oil?

Only Anhydrous products can be formulated without preservatives as there is no water in it, but for Hydrous products “PRESERVATIVE IS MANDATORY “
Also when making an emulsion you need to heat most of the time , other than cold process emulsion where external heating is not needed.

Hi Cecil If you want to make just a thicker oil without Kojic acid, do you just increase the amount of the oil to replace the Kojic acid in the formula? Or do you increase the hydrogenated vegetable oil?

Cecil, what is the ideal pH for the kojic acid dipalmitate to be active?
This recipe is oil based, and oil does not have a pH. pH is only measure in products that contain water.
