The fact you can work through the battle passes after the seasons end is a big W. Every game should do this
Yeah, plus every battle pass post-Season 1 gives you enough credits to buy the others. It makes it much more affordable to go through all the game's content.
Yeah or atleast let you have an extra maybe 2 or 3 months after it’s done because I get some games have a lot of battle passes
@@GameOnJesseit's a list of unlockable things like cosmetics for your character, that becomes available during a period of time which they call seasons. Some are free, the majority of them are paid.
Yes! Fomo for battle passes needs to be done with if I’m ever going to come to accept them as a business practice
They won’t. The FOMO is real.
"I've been out of the game since Early 2021"
I think a lot of people seem to forget that Infinite was released in November/December of 2021.
Eh makes sense as it was ass at launch. Good to see it come back around though.
@@MXvsATVnovice no as in halo infinite didn’t launch until late 2021
i think what he is really saying is that he has been out of halo infinite since the game's early post-release days in 2021.
@@Saelestria-jd3uq no. He likely just meant to say Early 2022 but forgot that it released in late 2021.
@@mattmacdonaldmedia2655
that makes even more sense. if i remember, that is at a point where players have already or started to drop off
Pierre Hintz was the best thing to ever happen to 343, I knew he would steer this ship well after he helped lead the revival of the MCC
Man, imagine how good the game would've been at launch if he had been in charge of 343 right from the start
But oh well, it is what it is and I'm so happy to be actually excited about Halo again
I love Pierre. He the best thing for Halo. I feel like most people don't know who he is except for people with their ear to the ground.
@@malif1279I’ve thought about that alternate timeline too lol. Halo Infinite, if it launched in a similar state like Halo 3 or Reach, could’ve won GOTY honestly.
MCC?
@@andrebillups4079 Master Chief Collection
The state of Halo: Infinite right now is basically what the game should have been back when it initially launched in Dec 2021. If you haven't played Infinite yet, this is the best time to jump in and try it out.
I'd say that campaign AI in forge maybe didn't need to be there for launch. But imagine if everything else had been, and then that was the Season 2 big drop
no live service game release day 1 in a good condition even the king fortnight released in a bad state it takes a lot to get that content ball rolling as
given the development issues, it seems to be a miracle that we got what we got at launch
@@jerico9263 yeah, I can't really think of a single live service game that was filled with content right out of the gate
Don't listen to this consumerist sheep. Don't play Infinite if you want genuine change in the IP.
Playing Firefight in Forge was the most fun I had in Halo in a long time
and the official firefight mode is stil yet to be released in a couple weeks
I tried alot of the new Playlists but I'm totally hooked on husky raid. Straight up CTF mayhem.
It’s also great for boosting the progression system 🙃
Its chaotic but damn its fun AF!
Yeah it’s all fun till you get spawn camped to death with a gravity hammer then you’re pretty much screwed the entire rest of the match!
@@Razr720 true. It’s even worse when the diminishes of hope blanks the enemy team
I only slowed down a bit in Season 2, but I've never really stopped playing Halo Infinite. Since Forge was added during Season 3, I've probably played at least once a week. It's my favorite Halo multiplayer and it's hard for me to go back to the older ones now. The gameplay is near perfect, I just need Grifball now
Same, I've stuck with Infinite throughout the years, playing it off and on. And it's easily the best Halo game from a pure gameplay point of view. 343 should get some flack for how they handled post launch content for Infinite, but they should also be praised for how well they absolutely nailed the gameplay.
We need griffball!!
Now that they fixed the gravity hammer to actually push players away, all we need is for Assault to be added for grifball to be made
Same.I love Halo Infinite.Only complaint was lack of content.
I'm glad they have started fixing the content of multilayer, but as someone who is more campaign focused, I'm worried that they have completely abandoned that part of Halo. Especially since they basically laid off everyone who worked on the campaign/story.
You don't need to be worried, they have absolutely completely unashamedly abandoned the campaign aspect of Halo. :p
@@Pedro_The_Neco They literally haven't, considering according to reliable Halo leakers, a new campaign has just begun development at 343. Besides, the chances of us never getting a new Halo campaign ever again is next to zero.
Yeah campaigns are a low to no priority with 343. Anything related to one will be a short "season" with more multi player involved. Just a glorified Fortnite now.
i dont think we are going to be getting story dlc like the plan was but they are no way done with halo story stuff. A new book is out soon, 343i just dropped a 35 min mini audio story about the flood. we still probably wont see a new campaign for a good 3 years ofc, but they are not done with it
@@jimmythegamer2231 if this ends up being true, I will be super happy to be wrong!
Dont sleep on custom games people! Tons of goofy modes to find in there
Let's be honest, with how many other games vying for our attention compared to the 00's, what we're seeing in numbers is pretty good for Halo. Would love for Halo to become the juggernaut it once was, but that's just a pipe dream.
Ultimately I'm just happy that we have a fun Halo game that is viable to play. It doesn't have to be the biggest thing ever, it just has to be fun. :)
infinite is actually fantastic online, but honestly the landscape has changed, the younger gen didn't grow up with halo, and they are looking for a different type of fps now days. look at a lot of the big fps and alot of there focus isn't even shooting , its a multitude of other mechanics with shooting to tie it together. halo is still that classic arena shooter, and sadly there not that popular for a good while now. Quake use to be the big game for so many years, but things change.
What we're seeing now is disastrous for Halo and it's completely 343's fault. Yes they're doing better, but you're trying to imply that a dying game is normal.
@@GameOnJesseI don't think many are playing Fortnite anymore dude
Halo lost its spot to cod way back when modern warfare started to get big.
didn't even mention A.I being in forge now. people already remaking halo sp levels in custom games and firefight modes are up for download. 343i are adding a community firefight mode soon as well. The game has so much going for it now tbh, and the community is a big part of that which is how it should be.
From a purely gameplay/mechanical point, Infinite is the best Halo game by a longshot. I've played every single Halo game (minus the RTS ones) and Infinite absolutely feels the best the to play. So, it's a shame that the game fumbled it's initial launch with the lack of content and slow update speed. But, I've stuck with Infinite throughout the years, playing it on and off, and it's nice to see the game finally starting to make a comeback.
Exactly, well said
I agree. I’m even enjoying ranked now with the bandit start
@@Wetterwet I would love to get more into ranked, but I am the most casual, average Halo player of all time, and don't feel like getting absolutely stomped lol. Because I've seen how truly great players play Infinite and I sadly don't hold a candle to them.
If that were true people wouldn't have been bored to death of team slayer on Bazaar after 2 weeks begging for "moar contentttt"
I still love Halo 2 on lockout some 20 years later, because the older games simply have better gameplay
Agreed, I’m not into fps games at all, but i was playing it a few hours a day for the first 3 months it was out. I had played halo ce, reach, and halo 2 before infinite’s release and although the story and world was definitely lacking, the multiplayer kept me coming back those first few months.
If they can fix d-sync and server stability, then it will actually be acceptable to be called a Triple A game
If anything I think were devolving into whether or not if it's a double A game considering triple A these days they seem to be worse quality then double A.
i just wish people knew how to set up custom games with the right map with the right mode (or right player count). Like I'm pretty sure 24 players aren't supposed to be in this firefight map where we're just stomping on the enemy lol.
Start your own lobby! It's pretty easy actually and you'd be surprised how fast it fills up
or like instead of using the new infection mode, they still use the forge scripted infection mode which is super broken
Set order to descending in the custom games browser. It'll bring order the low player-max games first, which are usually the more legit firefight experiences
this, i had a random mongoose race track and people were in fast and we were racing. i think the mindset is making custom games is a chore and they would rather browse for one they like@@alphagamma1289
I just installed halo infinite on my series x after taking a long break from it...the game has improved a lot! The new maps & playlists are fun.
Biggest head turner for halo infinite is the battle passes never expiring, pay for one and you can grind through them all

Halo Infinite has never left my install, it's always there, and I'm excited to jump back into some MP. However, what would bring me back for weeks or months on end would be campaign DLC. It blows my mind that they're not working on DLC with the assets they have. Screw a new Halo game and a new engine. You have this engine (it seems to be fine to work with now and it's beautiful), you have all the assets (MP maps have snow, desert etc.) and I know there's lots of "work in progress" content that was already worked on. You could spend the next 5 years releasing 5 hour campaign DLCs at a yearly rate and sell each one for 40 bucks or so... I just don't understand why nothing is being done, reportedly.
4:35 seeing a map I made in one of mattys videos is something I'd never think would happen lmao
They should fix desync, focus on story dlc and performance optimization.

When firefight releases and those h3 playlist. The game will be a full complete game.
So glad Halo is making the turnaround! Content is so goood right now.
Halo Infinite is 👌my preferred fps right now and season 5 is 🔥
Halo Infinite had a content problem. It was always good at its core.

Snowy maps drop for the winter contingency 3. Coming Dec 2023, "live fire" map snow version.
Halo Infinite has a very strict skill based matchmaking and 50% or more of matches are super sweaty. It is good that more fun game modes have been added
What do you mean exactly by "super sweaty"?
Oh shoot! I didn’t realize Halo: Infinite had co-op mode now! I dropped off early and haven’t been keeping up with it. Still bummed no local co-op but excited to see they added it!
I am playing CE’s campaign for the first time in my life. Aside from some level design confusion it still has a big “wow” factor 20+ years later.
this game will end up having a No Man's Sky level redemption story, I mean were in just year 2 of their 10 year plan
To me the turn around began on season 3 and season 5 is the defining moment. After forge and forge AI, i cant think of anything else they need to add, apart from small tweaks.
i remember the days when Halo 3 first came out....those were the best days for games
Wish this game had Campaign dlc and was only linear missions so they can make way more interesting biomes and set peices. Love that firefight and Forge with Ai are in the game now. Never cared about multiplayer in any game franchise cause it bores the heck out of me but happy for the halo fans that enjoy it.
We went from feeling like there was not enough maps to now SWIMMING in dev AND community maps (Community map playlists are awesome)
The game’s a lot of fun now. I blew through the newest battle pass 😂
Season 5 has been amazing so far imo… and PvE is on the horizon!
But since the update last Tuesday I’ve had the worst Desync and Lag I’ve experienced since launch lol

Great video! I’m one of the few who never left Halo Infinite. I think I have every weekly capstone reward except for one that I missed due to moving in real life. Season 2 was definitely a tough time for the game, but it’s been getting better with every update. Husky raid is my favorite game mode, but once firefight is added in a few weeks, most of my play time will be there! The in-game store could use some work with the costs, but for me the main thing the game is missing is a continuation of the campaign story
haha you and me both! I've never stopped, absolutely love the gameplay. Husky Raid is the only mode I play now though, it's fantastic
Yeah I dropped in recently and played a bit. It is still a fun game but I feel like they need to curate playlists so you can just try out new maps or modes.
I came back to it this week AND THIS IS WHAT I WANTED BACK WHEN IT CAME OUT, at least for its multiplayer. Granted it can still do with more improving but this is a great direction so far.
Was never that into halo as a kid, but infinite is the game that made me a halo fan and go back and start the MCC with friends. Infinites campaign was 🔥
Husky raid is so much fun
Really enjoying the Halo 3 multiplayer game mode, brings back SO many great memories 👍
The game is in a good spot now. I don't think it is necessarily a game most people will want to grind or play every single day, but if you like Halo or Shooters in general it is 100% worth having installed and trying out at this point.
I love Halo Infinite. My favorite multiplayer game.
Story definitely matters. After the next couple updates where these developers can finally take a breathe, they should start working on story DLC. Remember, they wanted Halo: Infinite to last 10 years. I get they haven't announced any story DLC because these past couple years, they've been scrambling to turn this game around. Now that they've almost done it, they should start brain-storming for some story-driven DLC.
Agreed
Halo should prioritize campaign FIRST multiplayer SECOND

I recommend checking out the forge firefight pve custom modes as well, you can get daily customs xp now :)
Halo is finally where it should have been 2+ years ago. Highly recommend installing it again
i still think the game and 343 have much to catch up on when compared to the past halo titles, but to be fair, 343 clearly is trying to turn things around and credit where credit is due.
Playable Elites with dual wielding, and an Arbiter split-screen campaign DLC to be form fitting, launch that alongside a Certain Infinity ODST battle royal PVE. Halo’s back.
I kinda stopped during season 2 but season 3 came and I kinda played every other week. As soon as season 5 dropped, I’ve been playing almost daily doing my challenges, really looking forward to firefight being added in a couple weeks. 343 is doing a good job with the content, yes they had issues, but instead of dropping the game like some studios *ahem EA* they kept listening to the community and pump out more content.
I’m loving it!
I'm playing again and I'm having a blast. Nothing like zoning out on the campaign for hours
Pierre Hintz wen he see the dessaster what halo infinite was:
fine, i'll do it my self
Once firefight, grifball, and multi team are added the game will finally be complete for me
Firefight is coming and is already in custom games, technically multi team is already in custom games, and I doubt Griff ball is EVER coming back considering it was promotional material for Red vs Blue and people really hate the new seasons plus rooster teeth in general right now.
I never stopped playing (my playing time is around a month of actual gameplay at this point). The game play was just so damn fun for me! I think it actually edged out CE as my favorite iteration of Halo multiplayer (CE will always be my fav campaign though).
Yeah, I know it lacked content on launch, but the content that was there just happened to really hit the sweet spot for me. In particular, I've had so much fun with Infinite's iteration of BTB. Even in December, when BTB was bugged and getting into a game took forever with failed attempts, I still almost exclusively played BTB all the time. The mode was (and is!) just that fun for me.
This game so insanely sweaty tho. Very very high skill ceilings.
nah compared to a game like apex or r6 its not that sweaty
That’s just halo in general and part of what makes it great. It’s got a high skill ceiling, much like r6

I'm currently downloading halo infinite for the first time
Edit: I never tried it before because I didn't and still don't want to forgive Cortana's bull sh$' in halo 5. But I have realized that 343 finally nailing the formula of the Halo magic we all loved shouldn't be held back by the disaster of Halo 5 if it can be helped!!! I've seen a few bits and pieces and I kind of know how the game starts and ends but I know nothing about how we get there, and to me, the journey IS the destination!!!
Also the weapon should not be held responsible for the actions of her pure evil twin sister cortana
Edit 2: at this point I bleeping HATE Cortana!!! Chiefs actions in Halo 5 were distressingly out of character... I think there's a reason for that though... In the original halo chiefs helmet she compares his brain to the ship's computer she was just in... And the master chief says and I quote "don't get any funny ideas".... now why would you go and say that Chief??? Now you KNOW she's going to get funny ideas!!! She's a clone of Dr Halsey of all people!!!!
I was gonna get back into it... but then titanfall 2s servers got fixed and that's a much better game
I feel you on the one expansion away from turning heads, Season 5 piqued my interest after years of not playing and I've been a halo fan since day 1. I have been playing pretty steadily since season 3 dropped, but ever since season 4 onward I have been fully back in on the Halo train. The gameplay is the best ever in the series, and now it has the Contant to match. I can safely say it’s my favorite multiplayer in the series. The campaign was fun, but the bland world design and mediocre narrative, pale in comparison to Bungies efforts. Once Firefight drops midseason, I think infinite can safely stand amongst the best Halo games though.
every halo game even bungies had there strong and weak points. infinite got chief spot on better than any halo and they nailed the gameplay loop so well, its mp i agree is the best since h2. sadly there are still a huge amount of people out there who just hate 343i and hate halo for not being a bungie game so the game willalways get bad rep

The BIGGEST things Halo Infinite (and other shooters) are missing are pregame and postgame lobbies.
FPS multiplayer games like halo and cod, the customization and commendations are cool, but it barely means shit to me unless I can show it off easily. Something where I feel like, when people scroll over my profile in-game, they get intimidated. Stuff like rank, campaign difficulty completed, armor, XP, matches played, matches won, or back in like mw2, the nuke emblem and special gold titles.
And postgame lobbies that don’t disband to maintain an adversarial relationship between matches.
Those two things (but mainly pregame lobbies like Halo Reach, 3, and mw2) would get me to care about my accomplishments and Spartan customization
I’d like pre and post game lobbies, but no map voting. Also, I think they’re unlikely to come out due to the game being made for a “modern audience.”

To be honest I do not know why this game got such negative criticism the game in my view is outstanding..
Yesterday I booted the game for the first time in forever. Multiplayer is legit fun now.
I mean I think the game was fun from the start, the new weapons they added fit in well with Halo, same with the equipment, It really felt like Halo, unlike Halo 4 and Halo 5 that felt a bit off, the problem with the game though was the horrible progression system, lack of content with missing classic gamemode, lack of maps, and broken or missing features at launch, but they fixed a lot of that now, and added a ton of new maps, few new equipment, and just 1 new weapon but regardless, the game has definitely improved without a doubt, I mean everybody knew this game would get better over time, even if they didn’t wanna admit it, because like I said, gameplay wise it was fun, but yeah has issues, but an improvement indeed.
