When I read this, I was absolutely stoked. Not only are we learning more about the ancient Hulk, but it’s Enkidu? Makes perfect sense really. As far as we know, Enkidu is basically the original heroic monster.
Yeah I think blending the two together makes a lot of sense.. there’s so much room to make the stories line up

😲😲😲😲 .... I'm definitely enjoying the building upon the Immortal Hulk storyline. It allows for a level of continuity. I'm also a fan of the horror/occult aspect of this mythos. It brings a new element to The Hulk. I wish that this was leaned into more in the MCU.
The implications are implying that The Hulk has, will, and must exist in the Marvel Universe. I wonder, if the end result is not finding balance with The Hulk, but acceptance of this responsibility. If Bruce Banner would do that, then perhaps his torment would be alleviated. However, as a man of science, his resistance is grounded in unwillingness to accept the unexplained. Excellent broadcast, SQUAD UP!!!
Not only Banner's unwillingness to accept the unexplained but accepting himself knowing that he has struggled not hurting people as The Hulk. And he blamed The Hulk for every destruction that he's caused, even ones where The Hulk had no control over himself. The El Paso incident showed that it wasn't Savage Hulk's fault, but another "Hulk" that dwelled within, but Bruce still believes The Hulk is a problem and he barely started to at least accept his faults and move on with his life. Only to relapse as soon as he wakes up and he realizes that he still hurts people. Banner's problem is moving on with acceptance and balance, he genuinely wants to have control of his life. I get the feeling that Bruce will struggle further now that Charlie's life is in peril and Banner and The Hulk are still fighting amongst each other. At this rate, I feel that Bruce just needs to stop backing away from his fears, and actually face them, because he's hurting himself. And when he hurts himself, the Hulk also gets hurt. He might as well let Betty go as soon as all of this is resolved and find someone else to share his burdens. I've been an old hopeful with Betty and Bruce, but they've been going through the motions and it seems to not go any further. Bruce is stuck in a place where he genuinely needs to leave.
I'm just tired of the Banner stuff and the fact that fans know that he is in a worst place right now to the point that even they are sick of his behavior. Trauma's a punk, though. It takes a lot to grow past it. Banner's is long overdue...I just wonder how long it's going to take.

I now want to know how the Epic of Gilgamesh played out in the Marvel Universe, since the stuff that takes place after Enkidu dies happened in a Kang story

I haven't kept up with this series, admittedly, since it didn't grab me originally for a few reasons. Can anybody tell me what Betty/Red Harpy is up to? I know she turned up briefly a little while ago, and was making noise about the Eldest giving her and Bruce new bodies without their Hulk forms, which I disliked. I love what Al Ewing did with Red Harpy in Immortal and Defenders, and don't want to see her go back to being a wilting damsel type of character after she so fully embraced her monstrous side.
So if Enkidu was a hulk, then maybe Gilgamesh was a mutant or perhaps a demigod? Because if I'm remembering correctly he and enkidu fought to a standstill once

I like the Hulk/Monster being an aspect in Marvel rn. Seems like a lot is building up on this concept. There are new entities coming and need power for the next big threat. Hulk has a Titan form or maybe that’s just it’s name. I feel like everyone being able to Hulk out is coming to a form of a new aspect. Like there’s the Phoenix, Enigma and even the Void. Along with Cosmic and Magic. I like it a lot. With that being said. Are the monsters considered to be Hulks or are they Titans? Are the Titans even a thing in the Marvel universe? Like why if the Titans were just Hulk-like beings from back in ancient times.

I like the world building and lore they're establishing behind Hulk's character. And it makes sense. I really wish we would get to see this in some sort of animated film or series. I think it would be dope! I doubt we will ever see this side of Hulk in live action. Its a long way for that, but we can definitely take advantage of this in animation. I'm glad it seems to be connecting more to the Immortal Hulk run too. Can't wait to see what comes next.

The Hulk titles have been on a roll for a while because the series have been mostly isolated from the rest of 616. It's hard to imagine Hulk re-joining the Avengers, but I think it's past due.
The line of the gods was getting an extension then Marvel just tucks it aside in Dr. Strange, they opened it again with Thor meeting even older versions of Gaia's siblings, side lined it again. Referencing the One Below All is yet another link to where this Mother of Horrors stands among, not seeing what she will be or the Eldest leads me to think of those other tries in extending the gods of Marvel Roxxon and Darius took the hit at the end. This is interesting until Marvel's sidelines these two along thew way to say it was always Charlie to test Hulk and Banner as subjects to One Above All as his wrath and semi-Herold of the counterpart for the One Below All.
The Eldest and The Mother of Horos are on the path of Varnae impressive yes but in narrative Varnae is a lesser being who wants to be on the level of Bas and the other lower gods but gets readily kicked in the mouth as not even on their level so go away like a pest. Is treated as such even revealed to be the cause to Blade's actions. It was a whimper with a smile; Varnae could not back it up and went out very lack luster on his own.

This is actually refreshing . I kept up with the hulk story lines for a couple of decades I've read about him being a hero , villain, anti hero , a dictator,and a Savior. Of all of the characters that I've read about.The hulk has always been a character I can relate to. The depth of this character runs deep and it nice to see the different writers take on him while continuing to add more depth to the character.

Hulk is too powerful
The expansion of the Incredible Hulk’s universe and lore is intriguing. However, i find it difficult to release canon. These kinds of derivatives are always rife with inconsistencies that disrupt my ability to suspend disbelief.
Nah these stories only expand the lore and make things more interesting
How many versions of the Hulk are there? Heck, how many versions of ALL of the characters, DC and Marvel, are there now. I guess I'm too old fashioned or something, but there's just waaay too many versions of all of these characters. It's just ridiculous. Has been for a long time now.
When is the next part coming?
This story-line started out rather boring for me.But have to admit, it's been getting better, and I am enjoying how they're weaving in historical elements to help draw out a deeper meaning and history. It works. A nice break from typical super-hero vs. supervillain blah blah blah. This is turning out quite nice and the tone, the feel of this story just has darker vibes to it than typical been there done that a million times over super-hero tropes. This one hits a bit deeper, feels creepier, and more menacing. I finally gave in, the writers hooked me. Good work!
