As an archaeologist I often have to transport some interesting items for study. But yeah we have to have proper documentations, but you still get questioned to hell. Had to tarnsport a case with a whole human sekelton in it once, driving past a police road block knowing im gonna have to explain this, wow fun times. :D

My uncle was flying back from Africa, and brought back an antique bow with a quiver of arrows. He told customs what it was, showed them the items, and they wouldn't let him bring the bow. The did however allow him to bring the arrows. Because a stick with a string is dangerous, but not the sticks with sharp points.

Canes with swords in them used to be really common, especially when it was fashionable to carry a walking stick. They're called swordsticks and they're really cool.
I once bought a snow globe and it passed airport security (no idea how) and I took it to a counter to get rid of it because apparently they can explode whilst in mid air flight because of the pressure, that could have been bad! XD
LOL i also bought one dangerous item inflight BUT!!! it is not a bizzare item that can affect the flight it was something that can bring down the plane.. it was a cigarette lighter... We didnt know it was in the bag until we are at 30000ft...no idea how it got past security..

Maces are clubs with various spikes, blades, blunt ends, etc mounted on the end of the club. Morning Stars are the weapons with a spiked metal ball chained to the end of a wooden club.
However, a mace could potentially be a stick with a big, spiky metal ball at the end, like a Morningstar without the chain.
Actually, a morning star is a spiked mace (without the chain). The weapon shown was a flail, which is the club with a chain attacked to any sort of object (that is not a chain or whatnot).
T Parent is right. A mace is a club with flanges at the end, or it's just blunt. A morning star is a mace with spikes on the end, but no chain. A flail is what is pictured. Only flails have chains attached to a ball at the end.

A club is a wooden or metal mace that resembles a small bat but yes you get the picture a Morningstar is a form of mace a flail is a ball on a chain that is swung from a most often found steal leather bound handle
