Running the new laptop through its paces. As far as the videos go, everything is set up exactly the way it was on my old PC so there's not really any major differences in quality I don't believe. At least I haven't noticed any differences. The only thing I really changed was the bitrate. Because my old laptop was so slow, it'd take forever to render and save videos so I had to use a low bitrate just so it wouldn't take an eternity. This laptop is so fast that I was able to up the bitrate a lot and it still doesn't take nearly as long to render and save videos as before. It cuts a ton of time out of making these videos which is awesome. Instead of the whole recording/uploading process taking an hour, I've got it down to about 40 minutes now as that whole waiting around time is totally gone. When you're churning out as many videos as I do, that makes a huge difference. Anyways, I picked an easy song to test it out. This is a re-do technically since I've done My Own Summer before many, many years ago.
I’m going to get a dedicated sound card for my PC, cause my mobo has a garbage one for recording and monitoring. The rest of my PC is high end except for that.
Another cover you played perfectly. I wish I knew what you were using for you awesome tones and muaic recordings. This and the Disturbed cover you played have some of my favorite guotar tones.
This is one of my favorite songs to just jam. It's simple yet fun enough not to get boring or bland. Plus, it's the fucking Deftones. Classic song from my youth that I will forever love. 🤟🏻😁 Exactly the same way I play it by the way. Though I usually add a few flourishes to the silent moment near the end. Usually just a palm muted version of the opening riff.
I played this song in my first band's first gig... I used an old Kramer de-tuned as most of the other songs we played were in standard or dropped-D. Love it!
