Western/UTMB double is the apex of trail ultra running. Jim is definitely one of the guys that can do it.
Courtney Dauwalter did the WSER, Hardrock & UTMB trifecta in 2023, won all 3!!! ❤❤❤ But yes I love to see Jim shine, too! 🎉
On a year when many of the best runners will be F'ing UTMB? A bit of an asterisk will be next to a 2025 win and honestly I hope Jim does what he kinda said he would do and sits this year out.

Listening to more interviews with Jim, he's a different cat, but that's what separates him. He may not be touchy feely lovable to those with thinner skin, but I sure do respect the heck out of him. Singular athlete and even more special competitor - "it's almost like people forgot..." - what an epic ending. Best wishes, Mr. Walmsley.
