If you would like to hear a song of mine to see if I would even be able to hang with these boys on the microphone check me out! The song is called "SWERVIN OUT OF LANES" ❤ ruclips.net/video/MIqC2X2_6H0/видео.htmlfeature=shared
Bas (pronounced the same as has) was a music teacher, taught piano and trumpet, which is why he does longer runs as he has great breath control, Pete is the shorter of the two and was a Royal Mail worker. Alternatively, Pete was a toecutter with the Richardson Family in London, rivals of the much more famous Kray twins, Bas came from a London family that ran illegal backyard bare-knuckle boxing tournaments...
@@TommiBrem lol you must be looking over my shoulder because I just pulled up the one they did with fumez and was just setting everything up getting ready to react to that one! 😂
Whats been said is Pete & Bas write their own lines but ask for help from their grand children, who have also released tracks, with current slang. A lot of their references/doubles are from way back. Some of them from the 60s. A lot of 'young' reactors dont even catch them because they are old af but its a 'tell' for other old af people that they at least write most of them. Even with all that I wouldnt be mad to find out they dont because their delivery/chemistry is awesome.
The have enough old people references and lingo in it, I believe they have a biiiig part in writing. Otherwise, yes, the story is they het help with contemporary lingo from their grandkids.
@@TommiBrem after posting this video I did some research and was absolutely blown away by the fact that these two just met each other not even a decade ago and shortly after they decided to start writing lyrics! I find it incredibly inspiring because I am also an aging rapper who has a ton of talent but I've never caught a break and unfortunately I started to get really down on myself once I got into my mid 30s after my best friend commit suicide.. long story short I was damn near at the point of completely giving up on life. Let alone my music or the idea that I would ever make it at my age! I haven't been this inspired in a long time! Thanks for the comment by the way! Check out a song I just posted earlier today called "Swervin Out Of Lanes!" if you like lyrics like this I'm sure you will enjoy that song of mine! 🫡
@@Mista808 If you ever get Norman Pain's Sindhu Sesh before you, brace yourself. It's a dark story with a glimmer of hope. Norman is on a few of Pete & Bas' tracks and of The Northern Boys, also part of the P&B universe.
@@suzannebass5295 I want them boys to come over here to the US! I'd love to see them live! I'd have to get backstage passes though because after hearing their music I'm going to do my absolute best to try to get a feature from these two if they're even open to that kind of discussion! 🫡💯
I love this song!!! I’m giving you a Sub my guy!!! I’m a retired singer/lyricist only retired because when I developed fibromyalgia!!! Otherwise I’d still be going now!!! Follow your dreams!!!
Check out the other one I reacted to recently of there's called "STEPPED INTO THE BUILDING".. the taller guy "BAS" went crazy on that one! Sounded alot like Pop Smoke!
Yea I'll do it tomorrow morning when I get home from work. I gave it a very quick sneak peak to see if it would be worth it since I've never heard of 808 Gadget before.. and I 100% approve! Only listened to the first 15 seconds and it's definitely a banger!
