I just went to Moretti today, he was so friendly and kept on chatting to me in Italian even though I understand no Italian lol. I just smiled and nodded along, and I bought a cute little handbag for myself and a men's sling bag for my husband, both made by the boss himself. Lovely place, in Florence there are too many foreigners hawking imported and cheap stuff, this place is the real deal.
Oh and I told him I came because I saw the RUclips video and he was so pleased. He was just a normal person doing his job and he is famous now! At least that's what I guessed he said, again, I speak no Italian at all.
Oh! This makes me so happy! We love Signor Moretti and his family! They are the salt the earth! Thank you for going there and thank you for telling him you found him through us! This made my day!

I did a “Google Earth” of the leather market and I know they are probably imported. Not the quality I want.

July 26,2023. We went to Moretti’s today for 1 thing and came out with 4 😊. Morelli is SO nice and personable. Spoke to us like friends in English, French and Italian.
Oh how wonderful! We adore that family! I hope you said hi to him for us. We have not been out to see him for awhile but a lot of our friends and followers have. It makes us so happy to promote authentic, good and honest businesses.

Very interesting article. My lady was in a trip with he mom a couple of years back and visited Firenze and did some window shopping but due to the lack of time and the really high prices she decided againts the idea of spending. Maybe next time she will consider you great tip on this brand. A few years ago I had a leather jacket custom made by this man in Buenos Aires and he told me the real secret of Italians is not the quality of their leather but the centuries of know how on how to process and treat leather. Such process apparently involves the use a lot of chemical products and can be pretty bad on the environment if proper care is not taken. I see you had time to visit your local coiffure salon, looks good. Cheers.
Hi Rene! Thank you! Yes I butchered my own hair and my friend Michelle had to come over and fix it. She did a great job! Yes the tanners used to be on the Ponte Vecchio and it got so stinky that they were banned for the bridge and gate gold and silver merchants took their places.

Years ago I bought a beautiful leather handbag on the bridge in Florence and just wore it out. I love a leather handbag that is made with glove type leather and well organized.
There is nothing like Florentine leather craftsmanship! It really is something special!

For leather jackets, we'd recommend you look at Davide Cerasi (www.davidecerasi.com). We haven't bought anything there (yet) but they appeared to have very high quality goods and a great selection.
Are there other locations around Italy, or just in Florence? Im looking for soke good quality leather bags in Rome.
I am sure there are some great places Rome but Mr. Moretti and his family are in Florence and are a family business with just that one location. It is worth a trip to Florence to see him though.

Hi! A couple of years ago we visited Leonardo's shoes. It is a lovely shop with a huge selection and the prices are good. We bought several pairs for ourselves and our kids who always make us get them shoes in Italy. I went to this place. He is friendly. Not too many designs and expensive for the kind of simple designs….craftsmanship was very simple ….but expensive I felt. I bought a purse which was ok.
