My overactive, overanalysing brain is screaming that “Nosferatu is the name of the film, and the vampire is actually called Count Orlock, and the entire movie and character were simply Dracula, but the names were changed to avoid legal issues - *so what secret significance can this mean for Berserk?”*

Zodd is going to betray Griffith at some point. He looks conflicted in later chapters, and with Griffith conquering all of Midland, his list of strong enemies grows smaller. His new interest may be taking on Griffith and his apostle captains. I can def see another Guts/Zodd team up.

Doubtful. Zodd is a badass but even he knows better than to take on a Godhand. If he ever tried I don't think he would do so expecting to come out of that alive.
i’ve always been intrigued by zodd, bro isn’t TOTALLY evil he just loves to squabble lmao, i still hate him tho for helping griffith take casca away, and for stopping skull knight from rescuing guts and the band sooner.
Zodd is ABSOLUTELY evil 😂😂😂 He’s just a specific type of evil, i.e., Lawful Evil. He has respect for certain traditions and customs of a warrior, but ultimately, he directly enables Griffith in his evil deeds.
i suspect griffith wants to destroy the godhand and as zodd is most likely gaiseric's evil form from the berserker armor they have similar goals. griffith will use casca to bring guts to his lowest point so he fully embraces the armor, giving him a chance against the godhand
i don't see guts killing griffith anymore as he merged with his unborn child, he is technically somewhat his son. i suspect he is manipulating events to destroy godhand and possibly god before killing himself, freeing the world from evil

I like so many in the series, I couldnt choose, Guts, Skull Knight, Isidoro, Puck, Zodd, Griffith, Schierke etc

The theory most believe is Zodd is Guts's biological father who slept with the woman that was hanging from the tree when Guts was born.
This would explain why Guts always had a berserker mentality, why it seems as if Guts has some connection to Zodd, why he managed to survive being born from a lynched corpse, and why he resembles Zodd's physically.
Demons have been known to sleep with women in the story, and it's no coincidence that Guts is constantly running into Zodd, and their battles always end in a draw.
I think they are saving that reveal further down the line.

Hey man, really enjoy the videos, I find your connection between skull knight and zodd extremely interesting but we have the problem with the timeline not matching up, I have been thinking of how this could happen and was wandering if you had an email address or way to speak with you directly, I couldn't find anything on the actual page though I normally don't reach out to people on here, I also have a theory that has a relationship with berserk I thought you might be interested in, maybe something that could work for a video or something, anyway if your interested let me know how I can contact you in regards to this.

Was it ever outright confirmed that Zodd was an apostle?
To that, I mean someone that made a wish to the Godhand via the Behelit? He’s certainly *referred* to as an apostle, but I’m not sure it was ever confirmed he was a human that made a wish? If anything, he has deep contempt for true apostles and the Godhand.
The reason I ask is because I also believe he and Skullknight were once the King, and that Zodd is the Beast of Darkness and Skullknight the discarded, hollowed body of the King - so the idea that Zodd is also an apostle seems conflating to me.
Do you think it’s a deliberate misdirect? To make the revelation that he’s not an apostle at all, but a result of the Berserker Armour more impactful?
First of all , people ignore that zodd himself confirms he is 300 years old when we first see him , SK is 1000 years old and if u think he was beast of darkness that makes him over 1000 years old , so he has no relationship with King gaizeric , and the reason is simple to call him apostle because he changes his human like form to an apostle like form just as other apostles do .
No, he is his own person. Zodd was a man that used a Behelit to turn into an apostle. He’s not nearly as old as SK.

But was it confirmed that Zodd was a man who made a wish with a Behelit? He seems so unlike true apostles. He has a human-esque form and can transform into a monster, yes, but was it actually explicitly stated that he was once a normal human that possessed a behelit?
This is something I don’t know and haven’t been able to find out. Maybe it’s literally written somewhere that I’ve not noticed?

I feel like we’re lead to believe he’s an apostle, but I feel it’s a deliberate misdirect and that while he’s a supernatural being, he’s not an apostle.
@@arc7375 those are just fan made theory , berserk from start has been straight forward story where most of background story of the characters has been hidden from the start , there are theories which try to prove guts is skull night from past . All the available materials 90% prove Zodd as an apostle , and why will a king like gaesric bow down to Demon like Griffith?? While his other half trying to defeat godhand . These theories are contradicting. I belive zodd to have origin from Eastern world and his origin will be expolered in upcoming chapters .

You’re the only other person to theorize the connection of Skull Knight and Zodd. My theory is Zodd is Gaeseric’s body, while his spirit/soul is attached to SK’s armor. I’ve had this theory for 5 years now.

I think the idea that Zodd is the beast of darkness for skull knight is creative, but functionally flawed. He’s clearly an apostle, and we know enough about apostles to know that he was previously a human.

This. People are looking for connections because they want them to be true. Zodd is not Gaiserics rage beast. He is simply a man who probably caved in when he couldn't win a fight and was then turned into an apostle where he was granted more power. Zodd is not a complex character.
In the actual maga, Zodd says "in my 300 years of slaughter" In the first encounter with Gutz. Meaning he has only been only been reborn as an Apostle for 300 years. Gysuric, dies in the berserker armor during The first eclipse. If Zodd was a split of Gysuric he wouldn't have a bond with the God Hand and what he calls his demon brethren.

When did it change from Band of the Hawk to Falcon? I saw the old anime and they were called the Hawks. I haven't read the manga since the break when they were headed to the island, but I don't remember them being called Falcon. I've heard in other people's videos Band of the Falcon, just curious when it updated
The accurate translation would be falcon. Hawk was used either because it was easier with lip flaps or it’s legally distinct from Star Wars, where Miura got the name originally.

Story of Zodd? Its more like a basic resume of the inmortal in the Berserk saga... and your theory made no sense...the darkness of skull knight is the death representation (a Skull) on the armor... in Guts is a savage dog... a beast.
Zodd was human and now the strongest apostle.
