Marcus here 4 days after his grandfather Roy Haynes died. What a big legend he was and im so grateful that his soul lives with his grandson he is also marvelous and what a proud moment for him playing with biggest names in world in such age. Well deserved. As a drummer he is one of my idol. Always a pleasure to watch them. Joy from Turkey İstanbul :))
Merci
So happy Dave holland still sounds like a master at his craft. I always assume people his age start declining but man he still swings and grooves like he did with miles probably even better. And Chris potter. No words needed for him. Easily one of the top sax players ever. He don’t need no pianist to accompany him he’s got one of the baddest cats ever to do that for him🔥❤️
@ryanlee7616 Yeah I get that too but it's the rhythm as well. Wouldn't be surprised if he's heard it a few times in his life and it's just naturally came out. It is a really strong motif
Marcus subbing for Zakir due to a health issue I think I heard? Hopefully not too serious, as Zakir just got added to Big Ears with Charles Lloyd and Harland.

Wow... And Chris Potter sounding better than ever. That hard rubber mouthpiece does something very nice to his sound!
Just saw Chris here in Austin last month. He is such a beast.
love it!!
GREAT!!!
Next level.
Rubber mouthpiece sounds awesome!
Is a Selmer soloist?
No idea! 😊
more more
Moon Hooch
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I wonder if that hard rubber piece is the same one he used to play on long ago, looks like it might be the same ligature at least
Selmer soloist?
Wow Chris Potter quoting 'It just wont do' - Tim deluxe 😮😮 5:44 or coincidence?
Got to be a coincidence I reckon. With a quarter of a billion notes coming out every half hour it's bound to involve some.

Yeah I hope he feels better soon. I will go to see them tonight but Zakir replaced by Eric Harland which is also great but still a bummer
What tunes are they playing?
Good Hope 😊
