Only champ I care to see lose is Jon Jones because he is the only champ in the whole organization actually running away from the #1 contender. Every other champ will fight their contenders. Not jon jones tho
Ortegas passive ability is he gets viciously knocked down first exchange, then his chin supercharges and he eats every shot for the rest of the fight. I just couldn’t believe he throws punches so zesty he does no damage idk how he’s gonna fight at 155.
Ortega has never been known or ko or TKO or power punches. More slick with the jab combos. Lopes was just that good on the feet but let’s keep it real. Ortega was actually doing some good work on lopes with those jabs. If Ortega would have level change and gone for single leg takedown I think he would have won this fight but he couldn’t match Diego for 3 rounds. In a 5 round fight, I might have Ortega over Diego.

UFC might not be for you. Valentina was textbook perfect on her takedowns and keeping ground control throughout the fight. In feet her jabs and 1-2 combos landed perfectly and used some calf kicks and footwork to come in and out of the pocket. Grasso was doing a good job circling Valentina but Grasso even though she explodes into power punches. I don’t think she has ever KO or TKO anyone in her career and she’s very poor on takedown defense. She didn’t know what do and on the floor she did pose some threat in submission moves but Valentina experience and patience paid off in this fight. Absolutely class performance from Valentina. Was not being at all.

50-45? I think merab won clearly but there's no way merab gets round five where he only got a takedown and then was getting hurt multiple times by the end. It's damage based scoring you cannot give that round in any way to merab.

@@joeswanson5486 me and my friends that have been ufc fans for decades thought so. is it possible people are going to look back at this differently in a few months?
Instead of the ufc paying 16 million for better named mexican fighters and fighter pay we get an over sized snow globe with some mid fighters and shitty reaults….😮
UFC has a roster problem now. What an amazing venue and visuals only to be soiled by the last 2 fights. I've never heard Dana say anything like that before, hoping his paying customers turned his product off. I don't own stock in EDR (parent of UFC) but would take notice of him saying all that after the fights, they have a roster problem to fix and rebalance. Can you imagine paying $1000's to go there and watch the last 2? Oh well.. it'll get worked out or it won't, companies are either adept and agile in solving such or they falter and fail.
Grasso and O'Malley both just got out worked, and out coached. Grasso assumed she would be on her back and trained with Lopez. But he waited until the fourth round to tell her she had to get up. Before, her team wanted to work from the guard but Valentina had much more success controlling her from half guard. Also, I think she lost a guillotine because Valentina start "punching" her lightly and Alexa told the ref she tapped. O'Malley's team was too concerned with "not getting taken down" which is not inherently takedown defense. He was scared to get taken down so he didn't kick. And on the ground, his technique wasn't bad but Merab was demonstratively stronger and he just big bothered him. All those chokes and neck cranks were about pain and suffering so he focused on control instead of chasing a submission. Both champs showed up with the wrong gameplans and their coaches failed to make adjustments or give them anything beyond generic tips until it was too late.
What would you change about that champ? Fighters need to balance being Justin Highlight Gaethje and Merab decision wrestle phucker. High stakes high reward creates low risk boring fights. Give hungry dudes $50k and $50k they gonna bang bro. While champs gonna point fight to a dec like Adesanya.

UFC 306 was meh, couple of good fights, Ribovics/Zellhuber and Lopes/Ortega were the best. The co-main and main event, absolute thrash. I think UFC is trying so bad to give Sean a chance to be the new Conor, but the guy just cant, doesnt have the talk, doesnt have the composture, he is no way winning againts umar or merab. We needed Yair and Brandon Moreno fronting this event and i think it could have been one of the best ever.
Why was herb dean troubling him for talking at the start thats his business if he wants the talk to people outside the ring..... and is kissing illegal lol.
The thing is, I guess I like fighters who fight. Not try to win rounds or points. I’m not as interested in skill as I am wanting to be entertained. Merab never tried to finish the fight, he just wanted to win position. My personal opinion and nobody has to agree, is that kind of attitude sucks and UFC is built around real fighters.
Amazing experience, obviously live crowds expect exciting fights so the title fights were quieter but watching Valentina and Merab work was a great experience. The music and movies were insane the ring girls and their outfits were pretty cool too.
Do a breakdown of round 1,3,5 of Merab vs O’Malley you’re absolutely out of your mind saying it could’ve been 50-45 dominant Merab win. it was such a close fight.
I hope Jones vs Miocic is such a wet fart of a fight that it embarrasses Dana and the UFC while Jones gets booed out of arena following a cringeworthy retirement speech Homelander would be proud of.
Seems like the champions who lost at UFC 306 had a bit of the Leon Edwards bug. Neither were prepared for their challenger's well-known and telegraphed game plan. Should've known better and prepared accordingly. Neither had to lose if they had just prepared for what was obviously going to come at them. WTF?

Yeah the live events you can’t hear the commentators. Kind of changes the whole experience
I've been to two and no commentary makes it super quiet, and when they're laying on the ground the whole fight like Valentina, it seems like you're watching two people taking a nap.
I had the idea to play the PPV on my phone during the fight, but it was behind the live action- so confusing I had to torn it off. 😂

Dominant but not that exciting
She's got plenty of exciting fights and finishes. It was just one of those times when you start to have a hard time and you have to stop showing off and actually tryhard. Kinda like Sandhagen against Chito.
I was hating but I was genuinely baffled at how good the EVENT was. The seats? The movie with interactive props? The display for the animations instead of on screen? The F*CKING RING GIRLS. Half undressed women? Cool. Dressed up as day of the dead goddesses?????? Dawg that was dope. It rly felt like they did everything they could to make everything but the fights better. The commentary for the main event was so annoying. Joe needs to hang it up.
Unfortunately, the damage is done. His colleagues have picked up enough of his bad habits:
"How happy are you right now?"
"How are you feeling right now?"
"Did you see anything that surprised you?"
"Spectacular!"
"Fantastic!"
"The kid" (to be fair, probably picked up from Dana)
@liuj88 so true. It's gotten more annoying recently

Ribovics vs zellhuber was absolutly insane , both are complete savages . I agree one of the best fight / 3rd round i ever saw.
The Joshua Van fight. Van in the second round lands vicious body /head combos that would have got him a knockdown except his grabbed the fence 22:38 AND NO ONE NOTICED OR MENTIONED IT NOT EVEN YOU. IM WRIITING THIS AS I LISTEN TO YOUR COMMENTS ON THIS FIGHT. I’m not sure what going to happen in his career but every time I see Joshua Van fight he does something different that impresses me.
He mentioned the fence grab in this video...

Only champ I care to see lose is Jon Jones because he is the only champ in the whole organization actually running away from the #1 contender. Every other champ will fight their contenders. Not jon jones tho
C’mon man O’Malley’s not that bad
And Merab is champ…idk about sleeping peacefully with that but sure.
@@KerioFive But you're here, wasting your time replying to his comment. The irony is literally palpable. 😂
Ortegas passive ability is he gets viciously knocked down first exchange, then his chin supercharges and he eats every shot for the rest of the fight. I just couldn’t believe he throws punches so zesty he does no damage idk how he’s gonna fight at 155.
Ortega should've overloaded Diego, throwing 3-5 punches instead of 1-2. But yeah, I don't see Ortega doing well at 155
Ortega has never been known or ko or TKO or power punches.
@@javierlandaverde4108 a 5 rounder he’s just a punching bag for 2 extra rounds bro he has no way of hurting or getting to a finish against lopes. He hasn’t learned to offensively wrestle and he doesn’t sit on his punches to generate power and get respect. He’s cooked indefinitely.
Fight card 8/10
Sphere show 10/10
Absolutely nailed it. It became super clear why Dana hyped up to production and its difficulty, it was truly a sight to behold!
I understand that it's hard to throw against a guy like Merab who has constant pressure. That's no issue. BUT in the final round when O'Malley hit Merab in the gut in such a way that Merab couldn't even hide the pain... where was the blitz?? Why isn't welch fucking screaming "GO IN" at the top of his lungs?? That was just weird to me and I wish I could understand why it happened.

Gsp was a boring fighter too
Zellhuber vs Ribovics now may be my favorite 3 rd fight all time, what a war.

I cant believe Weasle thought Zellhuber won the fight? What?
Main event was boring asf
Did you place the bet when Merab was underdog?
50-45? I think merab won clearly but there's no way merab gets round five where he only got a takedown and then was getting hurt multiple times by the end. It's damage based scoring you cannot give that round in any way to merab.
Merabs striking is disgusting so you know anything about mma I've only watched a few years but merab isn't well rounded

Instead of the ufc paying 16 million for better named mexican fighters and fighter pay we get an over sized snow globe with some mid fighters and shitty reaults….😮
How would you see Lopes vs Topuria going?
UFC has a roster problem now. What an amazing venue and visuals only to be soiled by the last 2 fights. I've never heard Dana say anything like that before, hoping his paying customers turned his product off. I don't own stock in EDR (parent of UFC) but would take notice of him saying all that after the fights, they have a roster problem to fix and rebalance. Can you imagine paying $1000's to go there and watch the last 2? Oh well.. it'll get worked out or it won't, companies are either adept and agile in solving such or they falter and fail.
He's definitely said that before
I knew Grasso was cooked when she was lobbying for a rematch leading up to this fight.
She was?
The movies looked like screensavers for Windows 95 or a PS2 video game. It was def a Disney production.
Both champs showed up with the wrong gameplans and their coaches failed to make adjustments or give them anything beyond generic tips until it was too late.
when we gonna admit that MMA scoring criteria has made it boring at the highest levels.
Why isn't he putting out videos? No prediction for tonight? Vacation?
I wouldnt have thought it would be this way but i was way more invested in the canelo berlanga fightcard fights because the degrasso and omally just showed up to lose
lol its wild bro speaking in lowercase and make zero talking points at the same time
is no one gonna talk about that weird shadow boxing that Merab was doing in the 2nd or 3rd round i think it was?
The music and movies were insane the ring girls and their outfits were pretty cool too.
o malley should move up to his natural weightclass, 170.... lol but seriously 145 for sure.
