This is true, even I have applied to private colleges with my UGC NET and first class in Masters degree from a prestigious university, I never heard from them. People hire candidates with recommendations and connections from professors and this is such a sad system.

As in my case i did my graduation from Government college so i had to compete with all the students of my batch in and around the state of Sikkim. Fortunately I topped amongst all the govt colleges of Sikkim & became the gold medalist 😊. For masters I had to compete with my fellow students from SU to become the Gold Medalist.

Same here I have qualified UGC NET 6 Times with 2 different subjects...4 times with history and 2 times with HRM....and working as a assistant professor in IPU ... Government jobs are not my goal so I didn't try.. bcz I like private colleges and universities because of work environment and infrastructure. ..so I am happy with my private job as well .... I don't think we all should focus only on Government jobs.....
@@safina2094 depends on standard and prestige of a college... Sometimes normal colleges also pay a handsome amount ...but ofcourse we can't expect as we get in government colleges.... Max to max assistant professor can get in a private college 70-80 not above that and minimum it varies ... 15-40k

Jahan only interview hote hai selection k liye wahan toh connection chahiye select hone k liye but bahut se aise states h jo written test karwate h assistant professor ka . Wahan jankari nhi chahiye agar aapke marks acche h toh. Eg Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh etc.
For a few subjects (eg. Management, HR, Mass comm) we have to keep appearing for NET because of PSU recruitments which only consider the latest NET Score. I jave qualified NET thrice and JRF once but still did not get the final selection in PSU. So i'll be appearing again as my priority is PSU and not Phd. So what you said "dusre ki seat kha rahe ho, sharm aani chahiye" is not applicable in these cases.

Reservation is a very sensitive topic. With due respect to @srijitagosh i want to share that according to indian census 2011 the ' general' category population is 30%, OBC share is 44% , SCs has 16 % and ST population is 8% .So we can understand the whole scenario and who is getting actually reservation. Reservation is very necessarily in indian society it is a way to upliftment of underprivileged , who don't get better livelihood, good schooling, good colleges, equal status in society . They are deprived since ages. So we need to give them equal opportunity by giving them reservation in employments so that they can get social equality and acceptance . And social status comes first with economic status .And For the question of talent of general candidates, we have have 50% seats to fight Farley .despite of 10 % Ews general reservation. So Don't let any obc, sc ,st come in 50% . And last we have have to remember that most of the time the cut off of general and oBCs are all most same . By giving the reservation we are moving forward to be a equal society . Thank you..

Reservation is a very sensitive topic. With due respect to @srijitagosh i want to share that according to indian census 2011 the ' general' category population is 30%, OBC share is 44% , SCs has 16 % and ST population is 8% .So we can understand the whole scenario and who is getting actually reservation. Reservation is very necessarily in indian society it is a way to upliftment of underprivileged , who don't get better livelihood, good schooling, good colleges, equal status in society . They are deprived since ages. So we need to give them equal opportunity by giving them reservation in employments so that they can get social equality and acceptance . And social status comes first with economic status .And For the question of talent of general candidates, we have have 50% seats to fight Farley .despite of 10 % Ews general reservation. So Don't let any obc, sc ,st come in 50% . And last we have have to remember that most of the time the cut off of general and oBCs are all most same . By giving the reservation we are moving forward to be a equal society . Thank you..
