5:54 The Generous Gardener smells amazing - and it repeat flowers so well in our garden!! We have Claire Austin too - looks beautiful!! And I love how the new buds look apricot in colour. Great choices - you’ll LOVE them! 🥰
Hi! I just found your channel. I'm Bonny in zone 5b Canada and share a love of roses, lilies and perennials. I have shrub, hybrid and my favourite are David Austin roses. I've been gardening on my property for over 30 years. Can't wait till spring here!
Hi Bonny, I love Canada - we've visited many times - just because it's so beautiful! 🇨🇦 Your garden must be so mature and wonderful, especially with all the roses. Wow. 💚
@@cottoverdi I live in Ontario. My grandfather was from England. Yes my garden is over 30 years old but always can find room to try a new perennial or learn something new.
This will be beautiful, not to mention the fragrance. I planted a Boscobel last year and I can tell the fragrance was amazing ,also it bloomed all summer .
Amazing planting and archway! Hope to see your updates on this rose project. I am waiting for my generous Gardner to arrive and start planting as well.
I love the method and it's not madness 😍it's going to be fabulous ! Wonderful rose choice I can just imagine the fragrance it will be gorgeous, I can't wait to see them blooming for you.
Fabulous! You'll love generous gardener. Mine has romped away and has amazing tree looking strong uprights. I have a mini collection of DA. I look forward to seeing your garden coming to life.
Thank you - I am so excited about my new roses - I also have some Harkness roses coming in the near future so it's going to be a big change in the garden this year - more structure and more flower beds!
@CottoVerdi fantastic! I combined my roses and a lavender hedge a year ago autumn, it was young but lovely to see all the pollinators. I have gathered dahlias and lavender, with annuals to make a new bed. My front garden is sloped and sea facing/elevated in Wales, so we get high winds. I'm hoping planting by a wall will offer some support. But time will tell. 🤞
@@ladyjrider666 sounds wonderful - I have a bed with lavender and Cheshire rose and it's so beautiful all summer long. Living by the sea must bring some challenges - but I bet it's stunning!
@CottoVerdi it sure does in terms of wind and rain, then baking sun. But the view is worth lt. I've always wanted a lavender hedge (or two). Glad you enjoy yours.
Hi Chantal, I'm definitely expecting these roses to bloom this year. The 2nd year should produce even more growth and therefore more blooms. Of course, this also depends on how the roses are pruned. I always train and prune my climbing roses to encourage the maximum number of blooms. Do take a look at my other Roses videos for more information about training climbing roses.🌹✂︎
